Coulomb correlations effects on localized charge relaxation in the coupled quantum dots
We analyzed localized charge time evolution in the system of two interacting
quantum dots (QD) (artificial molecule) coupled with the continuous spectrum
states. We demonstrated that Coulomb interaction modifies relaxation rates and
is responsible for non-monotonic time evolution of the localized charge. We
suggested new mechanism of this non-monotonic charge time evolution connected
with charge redistribution between different relaxation channels in each QD.Comment: 10 pages, 10 figure
The Kuiper Belt and Other Debris Disks
We discuss the current knowledge of the Solar system, focusing on bodies in
the outer regions, on the information they provide concerning Solar system
formation, and on the possible relationships that may exist between our system
and the debris disks of other stars. Beyond the domains of the Terrestrial and
giant planets, the comets in the Kuiper belt and the Oort cloud preserve some
of our most pristine materials. The Kuiper belt, in particular, is a
collisional dust source and a scientific bridge to the dusty "debris disks"
observed around many nearby main-sequence stars. Study of the Solar system
provides a level of detail that we cannot discern in the distant disks while

Radiative properties of stellar plasmas and open challenges
The lifetime of solar-like stars, the envelope structure of more massive
stars, and stellar acoustic frequencies largely depend on the radiative
properties of the stellar plasma. Up to now, these complex quantities have been
estimated only theoretically. The development of the powerful tools of helio-
and astero- seismology has made it possible to gain insights on the interiors
of stars. Consequently, increased emphasis is now placed on knowledge of the
monochromatic opacity coefficients. Here we review how these radiative
properties play a role, and where they are most important. We then concentrate
specifically on the envelopes of Cephei variable stars. We discuss the
dispersion of eight different theoretical estimates of the monochromatic
opacity spectrum and the challenges we need to face to check these calculations

Model-independent analysis of Higgs spin and CP properties in the process
In this paper we investigate methods to study the Higgs coupling.
The spin and CP properties of a Higgs boson are analysed in a model-independent
way in its associated production with a pair in high-energy
collisions. We study the prospects of establishing the CP quantum numbers of
the Higgs boson in the CP-conserving case as well as those of determining the
CP-mixing if CP is violated. We explore in this analysis the combined use of
the total cross section and its energy dependence, the polarisation asymmetry
of the top quark and the up-down asymmetry of the antitop with respect to the
top-electron plane. We find that combining all three observables remarkably
reduces the error on the determination of the CP properties of the Higgs Yukawa
coupling. Furthermore, the top polarisation asymmetry and the ratio of cross
sections at different collider energies are shown to be sensitive to the spin
of the particle produced in association with the top quark pair
A Historiometric Examination of Machiavellianism and a New Taxonomy of Leadership
Although researchers have extensively examined the relationship between charismatic leadership and Machiavellianism (Deluga, 2001; Gardner & Avolio, 1995; House & Howell, 1992), there has been a lack of investigation of Machiavellianism in relation to alternative forms of outstanding leadership. Thus, the purpose of this investigation was to examine the relationship between Machiavellianism and a new taxonomy of outstanding leadership comprised of charismatic, ideological, and pragmatic leaders. Using an historiometric approach, raters assessed Machiavellianism via the communications of 120 outstanding leaders in organizations across the domains of business, political, military, and religious institutions. Academic biographies were used to assess twelve general performance measures as well as twelve general controls and five communication specific controls. The results indicated that differing levels of Machiavellianism is evidenced across the differing leader types as well as differing leader orientation. Additionally, Machiavellianism appears negatively related to performance, though less so when type and orientation are taken into account.Yeshttps://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/manuscript-submission-guideline
Subcutaneous REGEN-COV Antibody Combination to Prevent Covid-19
BACKGROUND REGEN-COV (previously known as REGN-COV2), a combination of the monoclonal antibodies casirivimab and imdevimab, has been shown to markedly reduce the risk of hospitalization or death among high-risk persons with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Whether subcutaneous REGEN-COV prevents severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and subsequent Covid-19 in persons at high risk for infection because of household exposure to a person with SARS-CoV-2 infection is unknown. METHODS We randomly assigned, in a 1:1 ratio, participants (=12 years of age) who were enrolled within 96 hours after a household contact received a diagnosis of SARSCoV- 2 infection to receive a total dose of 1200 mg of REGEN-COV or matching placebo administered by means of subcutaneous injection. At the time of randomization, participants were stratified according to the results of the local diagnostic assay for SARS-CoV-2 and according to age. The primary efficacy end point was the development of symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection through day 28 in participants who did not have SARS-CoV-2 infection (as measured by reverse-transcriptase- quantitative polymerase-chain-reaction assay) or previous immunity (seronegativity). RESULTS Symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection developed in 11 of 753 participants in the REGEN-COV group (1.5%) and in 59 of 752 participants in the placebo group (7.8%) (relative risk reduction [1 minus the relative risk], 81.4%; P104 copies per milliliter) was shorter (0.4 weeks and 1.3 weeks, respectively). No dose-limiting toxic effects of REGEN-COV were noted. CONCLUSIONS Subcutaneous REGEN-COV prevented symptomatic Covid-19 and asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection in previously uninfected household contacts of infected persons.
