OPENMODS 2.0 âInstrument Jamming Meetingâ report
Major achievements
The feedback provided by potential users on their needs was very much appreciated. They
underlined the importance of having:
â an easy to deploy instrument (i.e.: from small fishing boats);
â multi-parameter sensors in ONE device;
â less maintenance effort
and prioritized the variables to measure.
Although, there are technical limitations and different solutions and there is no one tool that
can do everything, which is low cost, has high resolution and low maintenance, the
outcomes of the platforms/sensors/communications working group meet the main
requirements that emerged.
Priority was given to:
â a platform that will operate in drifter mode which is extremely easy to deploy and
perfect for studies associated with search and rescue operations (another need that
has emerged). It also constantly guarantees the knowledge of the instrument position.
The platform can be easily converted into the moored mode.
â temperature and pressure sensors. The sensors will be low -cost with the idea to
replace them rather than calibrate them;
â LoRaWAN communications preferably with Bluetooth integration for the in-situ

Structural investigation, dielectric, ferroelectric, and elecrocaloric properties of lead-free Ba(1-x)CaxTi(1-x)(Li1/3Nb2/3)(x)O3-delta (x=0.02 and x=0.07) ceramics
International audienceThe ferroelectric lead-free Ba(1-x)CaxTi(1-x)(Li1/3Nb2/3)(x)O3- with x=0.02 and x=0.07 (BCLNTO2 and BCLNTO7) ceramics were elaborated by a conventional sintering process. The effects of Ca and (Li, Nb) contents in the BTO matrix on the structure, dielectric, ferroelectric and electrocaloric properties were investigated. The refinement of the structure at room temperature showed that both BCLNTO2 and BCLNTO7 ceramics crystallize in the tetragonal system. Ferroelectric and dielectric investigations revealed the presence of three phase transitions similar to the parent phase BTO. Applying the Maxwell relation, the electrocaloric temperature changes were calculated using P-E hysteresis loops adjusted at different temperatures. The electrocaloric responsivity was found (max) (T/E)=0.14K mm/kV at T-ECmax = 374 and (max)=0.12K mm/kV at T-ECmax= 302K for BCLNTO2 and BCLNTO7, respectively

Breast schwannoma in a patient with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: a case report

Abstract

Introduction

Schwannomas are mostly benign tumors arising from Schwann cells of the nerve sheaths. Breast schwannomas are very rare and account for only 2.6% of cases. As far as we know this is the first reported case of breast schwannoma discovered in a patient with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The breast schwannoma was evaluated with positron emission tomography and it exhibited moderate 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose uptake.

Case presentation

We present the case of a breast schwannoma in a 63-year-old Caucasian woman who was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

Conclusion

Imaging modalities including positron emission tomography-computed tomography failed to distinguish breast schwannoma from diffuse large B-cell lymphoma involvement of the breast.</p
