Phase equilibrium, structure, and rheological properties of the carboxymethyl cellulose-water system
The phase transitions, structure, and rheological properties of the carboxymethyl cellulose-water system were studied via the turbidity-point method, viscometry, polarization microscopy, and the turbidityspectrum method as well as with a polarization photoelectric unit. The regions of existence of the isotropic and anisotropic phases, the gel point, and the concentration dependence of the supramolecular-particle size were determined. Magnetic-field application results in a gain in the viscosities of carboxymethyl cellulose solutions. Β© 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

System analysis of the state and prospects for the development of the production of inulin (review)
The review informs on the results of the research of the application of inulin as a bioactive prebiotic in functional nutritional products, in cosmetic formulations and pharmaceuticals as the excipient of anticancer agents on the basis of the system analysis. The steady trend of the world growth of inulin production of 8-10 % a year has been noted. The aim of the research is to reveal and to analyze the effect of the system complex of inulin production in sequential chain from the inulin synthesis, its accumulation in plants and extraction. The Jerusalem artichoke is the most advanced kind of raw material which has the high crop yield of tubers up to 40 t/ha and inulin content up to 20 %. The sucrose and the synthesizing enzymes 1-SST and 1-FFT take an active part in the inulin biosynthesis as their genes can be edited with the purpose of changing the inulin content. At the Jerusalem artichoke breeding the most prospective trend is the cross-species hybridization drawing on the example of a topinsunflower with the crop yield of tubers of 40 t/ha. In the Jerusalem artichoke seed breeding the new methods of clonal micropropagation of tubers and its cultivation in the airhydroponic environment with the achievement of the inulin content no less than 20 % have been studied. At Jerusalem artichoke cultivation the breed is significative for the maximum crop yield of tubers with the row width of 90 cm and with the interval between tubers in a row β 30 cm. The least loss of the tubers weight and the inulin content in them under the long-term storage is achieved at the temperatures from -5 to 0 Β°C. The technology of the Jerusalem artichoke tubers processing into inulin is suggested as the system of partly optimized technological operations from peeling and washing the tubers to receiving the powdered inulin and the oligofructose syrup. The system complex is suggested in the form of the structural topological model combining 4 systems: Β«Selection and seed breedingΒ», Β«AgritechnologiesΒ», Β«Harvesting and storage of tubersΒ», Β«The tubers processing technologiesΒ» with the interrelations in the form of the technological requirements and the output data of every system and of the complex as a whole, which is the basis for the development of the agri-food technology of inulin from Jerusalem artichoke and other kinds of raw materials
US transnational IT companies in China as actors of international relations
In recent decades, TNCs have increasingly become the subject of heated discussions concerning world politics and economics. The influence that non-state actors in international relations have on current relations between states and how they become instruments of pressure from one country to another is an interesting issue on the current international agenda. In the context of the economic confrontation between the PRC and the United States, which resulted in a trade war, the consideration of American IT TNCs as actors in international relations is of particular interest and seems especially relevant in the context of the events of modern world politics. The article examines the mechanisms of influence of US high-tech companies on the territory of the PRC, and also draws conclusions about the interdependence of the two opposing economies.Π ΠΏΠΎΡΠ»Π΅Π΄Π½ΠΈΠ΅ Π΄Π΅ΡΡΡΠΈΠ»Π΅ΡΠΈΡ Π’ΠΠ Π²ΡΠ΅ ΡΠ°ΡΠ΅ ΠΈ ΡΠ°ΡΠ΅ ΡΡΠ°Π½ΠΎΠ²ΡΡΡΡ ΠΎΠ±ΡΠ΅ΠΊΡΠΎΠΌ ΠΆΠ°ΡΠΊΠΈΡ

Hardware-software system for magnetic analysis of structure
The relative values of the magnetic properties of a substance is shown to be determined locally by measuring the magnetic field induction in the transducer hole of a special form made in the magnetic circuit of the measuring transducer and the tangential component of the magnetic field in the interpolar transducer space near the surface of the magnetized object. The proposed method is shown to allow for the determination of the whole complex of hysteresis characteristics and significantly expand the ranges of measurement of magnetic properties. The difference in the structural sensitivity of the magnetic properties locally determined in the coordinates "flow-internal field" (properties of matter) and in the coordinates "flow in the product-current in the windings" (properties of the "body") is established. The possibility and expediency of simultaneous measurement and pooled analysis of the magnetic characteristics of the substance and the "body" is shown.Information about the mobile hardware-software system DIUS-1.15M, designed to implement one-and multi-parameter methods of monitoring the structural-phase and stress-strain state of ferromagnetic materials and objects based on the proposed measurement techniques is provided. Numerical solution of the forward magnetic field problem for models with irregular polyhedron discretization taking into account the "demagnetization effect"
A performance-effective numerical method for magnetic field calculation is proposed. The method works with irregular polyhedron discretization which enables us to construct models with magnetic objects of arbitrary shape. As a case study, a model of a well in plane-parallel layer is considered. The model is approximated with dense irregular grid, elements of which are polyhedrons. With the help of conjugate gradient method, we solve "demagnetization effect" equation and calculate total magnetic field on the plane above the well. For a well of 0.25m radius and 8m height "demagnetization effect" is of order of 2% relative to the field induced by the object placed in equivalent of Earth magnetic field. Magnetic nanoclusters coated with albumin, casein, and gelatin: Size tuning, relaxivity, stability, protein corona, and application in nuclear magnetic resonance immunoassay
The surface functionalization of magnetic nanoparticles improves their physicochemical properties and applicability in biomedicine. Natural polymers, including proteins, are prospective coatings capable of increasing the stability, biocompatibility, and transverse relaxivity (r2) of magnetic nanoparticles. In this work, we functionalized the nanoclusters of carbon-coated iron nanoparticles with four proteins: bovine serum albumin, casein, and gelatins A and B, and we conducted a comprehensive comparative study of their properties essential to applications in biosensing. First, we examined the influence of environmental parameters on the size of prepared nanoclusters and synthesized protein-coated nanoclusters with a tunable size. Second, we showed that protein coating does not significantly influence the r2 relaxivity of clustered nanoparticles; however, the uniform distribution of individual nanoparticles inside the protein coating facilitates increased relaxivity. Third, we demonstrated the applicability of the obtained nanoclusters in biosensing by the development of a nuclear-magnetic-resonance-based immunoassay for the quantification of antibodies against tetanus toxoid. Fourth, the protein coronas of nanoclusters were studied using SDS-PAGE and Bradford protein assay. Finally, we compared the colloidal stability at various pH values and ionic strengths and in relevant complex media (i.e., blood serum, plasma, milk, juice, beer, and red wine), as well as the heat stability, resistance to proteolytic digestion, and shelf-life of protein-coated nanoclusters.
