Investigation of large angle elastic and inelastic alpha particles scattering on Si isotopes
The distributions of differential cross sections for backward angles in
case of three (28,20,3OSi) silicon isotopes were measured for five energies
around 27 MeV. The comparison between existing data and measured
data was done. Quantitative analysis of the data was made
KRATTA, a triple telescope array for charged reaction products
KRATTA, a new, low threshold, broad energy range triple telescope array has been built to measure the energy, emission angles and isotopic composition of light charged reaction products. It has been equipped with fully digital chains of electronics. The array performed very well during the ASY-EOS experiment, conducted in May 2011 at GSI. The structure and performance of the array are presented using the first experimental results
Precision measurements of the and reactions : importance of long-range and tensor force effects
Inclusive measurements of pion production in proton--proton collisions in the
forward direction were undertaken at 400 and 600 MeV at COSY using the Big Karl
spectrograph. The high resolution in the momentum ensured that there
was an unambiguous separation of the channels. Using
these and earlier data, the ratio of the production cross sections could be
followed through the region and compared with the predictions of final
state interaction theory. Deviations are strongly influenced by long-range
terms in the production operator and the tensor force in the final system.
These have been investigated in a realistic calculation
that includes channel coupling between the final
nucleons. A semi-quantitative understanding of the observed effects is
achieved.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
