Bantul  District  has  many  small  river  which  have the potency to  be  converted  to  electrical energy.  This  research  aims at  determination  the  potency  of  hydropower  and  designing  very low  head  water  power  plant.  The  observational  step  started  by measuring head and flow rate.  Designing of water turbine should be  considered  the  power  available.  Since  the  turbine  usually  run at low speed and the generator speed is quite high (1500 rpm) it require   speed  increaser.  Based  on  primary  data,  the electrical power can be generated up to  41.02  kilowatt kW  .The project’s objective is to provide the village Irrigation Sono (Opak river) Parangtritis with a  reliable, green clean  and  economically viable source of electrical energy. A potential  hydropower  site  in  the  vicinity  of  the  villages was identified at Opak river. The  salient  features  of  the  scheme  are  summarised  as follows: Gross Head (Hgross) 2- 3.5 m , Net Head ( Hnett)  2.5 m, Flow River 4,48 m3 /s, Design of flow rate (Q)  =2.5 m 3/s.  Electrical Power (Pelg) 61,31 KW. The project comprises of the following components: Water  intake  and  conveyance  structures,  including sand trap,  headrace  canal,  forebay, draft tube  and tailrace. Powerhouse, including protection wall  Generating  equipment, comprising  of  a  propeller turbine and synchronous generator  Electrical  turbine  control  system,  ELC  (Electronic Load Controller)  Transmission  facilities. The  implementation  of  the  project  will  take approximately six to eight months including the finalisation of  the  preparatory  work (detailed  design,  tendering, contract  awarding),  actual  implementation  of  the  project, testing, commissioning and training of operators.  Two villagers will be assigned and trained as operators for the operation and maintenance of the plant. In  order  to  optimize  the  viability  of  the  water source office of  Bantul, load management  is  deemed  necessary  to  optimise  the  supply and  demand  situation,  such  as  using  energy   pump for irrigation

Phototherapy is a therapeutic strategy in dermatology for treating several skin diseases.Conventional phototherapy has some disadvantages, hence a targeted phototherapy that emitsselective laser or ultraviolet (UV) light and targets specific area of affacted skin has been developed.Targeted phototherapy is considered to be more aggressive and has higher efficacy. Severaltargeted phototherapy devices emit one or several types of light. The use of targeted phototherapyhas been studied in vitiligo, psoriasis, eczema, keloid, hypopigmented scar or striae alba, andoral lichen planus

Simple structure and organs model of fish used to help students collage in observing fish organ structure in Ichtiology practicum. In fact, there are many observers found difficulties to learn fish organs structure. During the practicum, there are several part of organs that cannot be clearly seen or too small. Moreover, it happened for the fishes that has small size. Another, If the organ structure is not in a good condition it will be difficult to be observed. As a replecement, observer can see dan observe by using tool model to see inside organs of fish. Beside, it make PJMK/Assistant to explain inside part of fish organ structure. Simple structure and organs model of fish is validated by academic civitas that have expertised in fisheries. The result was very worthy to be used in learning process in inchtiology practicum. Score that has been gotten is 100 %. In the class observation, it included 100 observer of Ichtiology. The result of the questionair are: the interesting of fish shape model is 72% was very satisfied.  Model, tool design, accessories and completeness of tool model is 70% was satisfied. The beneficial of the ichtiology praticum is 80% was helped. The corellation of tool and praticum material ichtiology 80%. The suggestion from the tool user in the future, 96%, suggested to use the tool model. Observer comments that mastery assitant in the used of the tool model 65% still less. 70% observer stated that the tool is still need improvement. Keywords: ichtiology practicum, observer, tool mode

Pathogenesis, evaluation, and recent management of diabetic foot ulcer

    Get PDF
Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a major health problem as the number of patients continues to increase, are difficult to heal, require enormous management costs, and deteriorate the quality of life of patients, their families and societies. The pathogenesis of DFUs is complex. Most important factors that increase the risk of DFUs are peripheral neuropathy, foot deformities, frequent minor trauma, and peripheral arterial disease. Neuropeptides derangement, hypoxia, hyperglycemia, and infection act as the cause of chronicity of DFUs. Therefore, during the initial evaluation of DFU, patients need to be checked for their metabolic status, presence or absence of peripheral neuropathy, vascular insufficiency, foot deformities, and infection of the ulcer and its underlying bone. Then, DFUs are classified by the severity of vascular insufficiency, the depth of the wound, and the severity of the infection. This classification system helps clinicians to determine whether the patient needs to be hospitalized or amputated and helps to establish DFU management strategies. In the management of DFUs, adequate blood flow to the wound area should be achieved. Glycemic control and standard wound care should be encouraged. Standard wound care includes debridement, offloading, wound moisture balance with suitable dressing, edema control, and infection control. Education about preventive foot care should be taught to the patients and their families. As the pathogenesis and management of DFUs are complex, a multidisciplinary team consists of expert individuals in their respective fields should be involved

This study describes how the development of research on buying interest and purchasing decisions on social media, ranging from keywords that have a lot to do with the theme of the influence of social media on consumer behavior, and the number of publications in terms of timelines, to the trend of publications on social media research. All of them are summarized through bibliometric analysis of 73 journals that are used as references. In collecting journals, researchers use certain criteria and the sources used as references must be indexed into the SINTA (science and technology index) owned by the Ministry of Education and Culture with a SINTA limit of 2-6. It was found that Instagram is the most widely used social media research theme, and social media is widely used not only for transactions but also to be able to introduce products or services owned by marketers to potential consumers and is more directed to the branding process. The clothing and beauty products sector is the sector that is most widely discussed in the next social media research theme, which is the market and food and beverage sector

The effect povidone-iodine on the wound healing process: A study on fibroblast populated collagen lattice (FPCL) model

    Get PDF
Povidone-iodine (PI) 10% solution is an effective antiseptic. However, it appears to be toxic tothe cells involved in wound healing. The aim of this study is to evaluate the toxicity of PI oncultured human fibroblast using fibroblast populated collagen lattice (FPCL) model. The culturedhuman fibroblast was divided into 6 groups i.e. 5 groups were exposed by PI 1, 0.1, 0.01, 0.001and 0.0001%, and 1 group was exposed by phosphate-buffered-saline (PBS). Twenty-four hourslater, the media was washed using PBS. The size of the FPCL media on each group wasobserved over time by serial photographs, which then were measured by Image-J computerprogram. Exposure of 0.1, 0.01, 0.001 and 0.0001 PI caused an obvious reduction of fibroblast’scontraction capability on FPCL media, which described temporary fibroblast injury, that showinga concentration-dependent recovery phenomenon after 48th hour. Furthermore, 1% PI exposureleads to a permanent fibroblast injury. In conclusion, PI exposure in concentration more than0.1% has a permanent toxic effect on fibroblast that clearly observed using a simple FPCLmodel
