Greenhouse construction has been involved in various fields. Besides agronomy, forestry science and technology and horticulture in the traditional sense, the architecture, aesthetics, mechanics, steel structure, ergonomics, computer automatic control, air conditioning and new materials . etc. are increasingly involved as well. Technology has been adhering to such principle and introducing talents in various fields to make greenhouse widely applied to each field without being exclusive to agriculture and forestry. The advantages offered by protected horticultural culture can be capitalized in a superior way, in achievement conditions of horticultural micro-farms in framework of some agricultural educational institutions. Analysing existent conditions at Agricultural Scholar Group Al. Vlahuta from Sendriceni-Botosani, was elaborated technical-constructive solutions for greenhouses project on 0.50 ha surface. Planting materials achieved in some protected spaces will be planting in land, on a 4.00 ha surface. About spaces for specific production activities was foresee an educational pavilion, with a classroom and afferent utility, for a good unfolding of didactic process

A drip-irrigation system - when properly designed, maintained and operated - can be a production asset for a small farm. Using drip irrigation for profitable vegetable production requires an understanding of several basic engineering and horticultural concepts and their application. The goals of this publication are to present the principles behind drip irrigation and some practical guidelines for successful and profitable use of drip irrigation. For crops irrigation at horticultural micro-farm which will be achieved at Agricultural Scholar Group Al. Vlahuta from Sendriceni-Botosani on a 4.50 ha surface, is proposed dripping water-application method, both in protected spaces and into field. In the present paper is presented the variant for micro-irrigation project for this surface. The arrangement of irrigation is constituted by a irrigation water supply pipe which alimentation with water distribution conduit from black polyethylene by high density, equip with dripper, which are constituted from micro-pipe. At irrigation application, the distribution conduits are moved in successive positions of working, transversal by main pipe-line, at interval of time necessary for distribution of norm of water application. The water volume through pumping from coterminous storage of farm for a discharge by 17.5 m3 /h at a total dynamic head by 12.5 mCA, permit the distribution of an average norm of water application by 300 m3 /ha on a 0.70 ha surface for 12 hours, the time of irrigation for total arrangement surface been by 6 days

The paper presents the experimental results of mechanical strengths obtained on the concrete prepared with different types of wastes. Fly ash was used as cementitious material and polystyrene granules were used as substitution of aggregates. The properties of concrete such as density, compressive strength, flexural strength and splitting strength were investigated having in view the waste substitution. The results show that the concrete with fly ash and polystyrene granules in reduced dosages had characteristics of structural concrete

Technology and devices for liquid pressure pipeline interventions in livestock farms

    Get PDF
This technology is used when performing interventions on pipelines through which fluid under pressure is conveyed, in order to extend new networks, or branches, repair damage to pipes, install heat measuring systems, meter water consumption for billing, without interruption of utilities to consumers connected upstream of the point of intervention. Implementing the new technology is based on two devices: tight drilling-cutting device for the pressure pipeline and clogging device of the pressure pipeline. Both devices are successively mounted on a base block, whose boss is welded on the top generator of the pressure pipes, at the point of intervention. Currently, interventions on liquid pressure pipes, regardless their purpose, involve closure of the tower at the nearest point where there are isolation gates, hard to handle or broken, sometimes located in inaccessible places. The technology of intervention presented may be applied on under pressure pipe networks being in static or dynamic operational mode for operational pressures of max. 6 bar and standard nominal diameters of 65, 80, 100, 125, 150 and 200 mm. After performing tests was chosen the obturator with constant thickness of the wall for its constructive simplicity in the conditions in which the operational requirements are fulfilled. The tests demonstrated that the obturator accomplishes its role of interrupting water flow through the pipe in dynamic operational mode at 6 bar, if the pressure from inside it has a value of 10 bar. Application of this new technology has a direct effect on quality of life, allowing elimination of interruptions in drinking water supply utilities, domestic hot water or heat

STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF PRELIMINARY STUDIES FOR HEMP CONCRETE

    Get PDF
Waste is a major worldwide problem and its recycling has become mandatory in the current context of the decrease in natural resources. The management of recyclable waste improves the efficiency of any economic activities and the impact on the environment decreases proportionally to the quantities reused. With a significant impact on carbon dioxide emissions, the construction sector is one of the largest consumers of energy and raw materials. Hemp, and other biomass waste, are by-products in agriculture, making important contributions to the development of ecological materials by incorporating important quantities of such recyclable waste. This paper presents a series of different hemp concrete compositions that aim to obtain the optimum ratio between the binder and hemp shiv, in order to determine the inflection point towards which the delimitation can be made between insulating materials and materials with improved mechanical resistance. The importance of the work is given by the fact that, until now, the optimal proportion between the binder and hemp wood chips has not been demonstrated. This turning point must be justified by a variation of the mechanical resistance or a variation of the heat transfer coefficient, through the conductivity of the obtained samples. After preliminary testing, the statistical analysis will allow identification of the specific quantities needed to improve the physical-mechanical performance of the hemp-concrete recipe. Thus, by adding a justified amount of binder, an ecological material based on vegetable waste from agricultural crops is obtained. The material will have thermo-mechanical properties designed for a specific situation, required by the minimum performance imposed by the destination for which it will be made
