The process of tungsten fluorides reduction by hydrogen is a component part of Fluoride technology of tungsten conversion. Nowadays the researchers are definitely interested in studying this process. It is connected with common use of metal tungsten products in different sectors of the economy, which is the result of unique qualities of this metal. With the help of physical and mathematical modelling of the process of tungsten hexafluoride reduction by hydrogen, it becomes possible to create an import substitution technology of metal tungsten conversion. Fluoride technology of tungsten conversion allows putting different coverings and make tungsten products of different shapes, which is impossible to get traditionally. The process of tungsten fluorides reduction by hydrogen can be referred to CVD processes (Chemical Vapor Deposition). Common use of CVD technologies for getting metal products and coverings is limited by definite problems, connected with access difficulties to initial components of research and the lack of information about their basic thermal characteristics. Therefore, mathematical description of the initial components mass-moving process, which provides with optimal value of their concentration in gas flow and in precipitation zone, is a question of current importance

Wide use of products from metal tungsten in various branches of a national economy is caused by unique properties of this metal. By means of physical and mathematical modelling of process of receiving gaseous hexafluoride of tungsten it is possible to solve a problem of creation of import-substituting technology of processing of metal tungsten. The fluoride technology of processing of tungsten allows to put various coverings and to make products of tungsten of a various form which can't be received by traditional methods. Fluoride technology of processing of tungsten it is possible to present in the form sequences of two processes, process of fluorination of metal tungsten and process of restoration of fluorides of tungsten hydrogen

In this paper we consider the mathematical modelling of the process of obtaining tungsten hexafluoride gas, based on the reaction between tungsten powder and fluorine in a chemical reactor, which has a rectangle cross section channel as a working area. The modelling is conducted on the basis of solving three-dimensional equations of impulse, heat and substance transfer in the binary compound, taking into account the heterogeneous reaction undergoing on the bottom of the channel, between the tungsten powder layer and the fluorine gas flow. As a result of numerical solving the problem, the speed, concentration and temperature vector fields’ distributions were revealed, as well as integral characteristic of the completeness of fluorine use. The credibility of the results obtained is confirmed by test researches and the comparing of calculation results with the empirical evidence

In this paper, we consider the process of obtaining the tungsten hexafluoride gas. On the basis of a simple one-component diffusion model of the process of fluorination of tungsten metal recorded an equation relating the rate of a chemical reaction and change in concentration of a key component of the length of the reaction zone. The numerical calculations showed good agreement with experimental data. The statistical treatment of experimental data, constructed regression model for the reaction speed parameter fluoridation as a function that depends on the temperature of the supplied gas and tungsten metal particle size. The results can be used to optimize the design of existing devices and new designs for the fluorination process of metal tungsten
