The settlement in the central valleys of Cantabria: from the hillfort to the small village (III B.C-VIII A.D.)

RESUMEN: La documentación de la Alta Edad Media de Cantabria presenta una estructura de poblamiento rural en aldeas con un modelo de organización social y territorial que aún hoy es visible en el paisaje. El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de rastrear en los anteriores períodos históricos, desde la Segunda Edad del Hierro hasta la Tardo-antigüedad, para tratar de comprender los modelos existentes y los procesos de perduración y cambios habidos.ABSTRACT: The documentation of the Early Middle Age in Cantabria presents a structure of rural settlements of hamlets, social and territorial model organisation that is still visible in landscape nowadays.
