Mesh ratios for best-packing and limits of minimal energy configurations
For -point best-packing configurations on a compact metric
space , we obtain estimates for the mesh-separation ratio
, which is the quotient of the covering radius of
relative to and the minimum pairwise distance between points in
. For best-packing configurations that arise as limits of
minimal Riesz -energy configurations as , we prove that
and this bound can be attained even for the sphere.
In the particular case when N=5 on with the Euclidean metric, we
prove our main result that among the infinitely many 5-point best-packing
configurations there is a unique configuration, namely a square-base pyramid
, that is the limit (as ) of 5-point -energy
minimizing configurations. Moreover,
Study of Scintillator Strip with Wavelength Shifting Fiber and Silicon Photomultiplier
The performance of the cm plastic scintillator
strip with wavelength shifting fiber read-out by two novel photodetectors
called Silicon PhotoMultipliers (SiPMs) is discussed. The advantages of SiPM
relative to the traditional multichannel photomultiplier are shown. Light yield
and light attenuation measurements are presented. This technique can be used in
muon or calorimeter systems.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figure
Wave-vortex interaction
We present an experimental study on the effect of a electromagneticaly
generated vortex flow on parametrically amplified waves at the surface of a
fluid. The underlying vortex flow, generated by a periodic Lorentz force,
creates spatio-temporal fluctuations that interact nonlinearly with the
standing surface waves. We characterize the bifurcation diagram and measure the
power spectrum density (PSD) of the local surface wave amplitude. We show that
the parametric instability threshold increases with increasing intensity of the
vortex flow.Comment: 8 pages, 10 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev.
The relativistic impulse approximation for the exclusive electrodisintegration of the deuteron
The electrodisintegration of the deuteron in the frame of the Bethe-Salpeter
approach with a separable kernel of the nucleon-nucleon interaction is
considered. This conception keeps the covariance of a description of the
process. A comparison of relativistic and nonrelativistic calculations is
presented. The factorization of the cross section of the reaction in the
impulse approximation is obtained by analytical calculations. It is shown that
the photon-neutron interaction plays an important role.Comment: 31 pages, 14 figures, 1 tabl
Marketing and logistic instrumentarium of activation of inter-country cooperation of Russia and solving the issue of import substitution
The article is devoted to identification of current realia and perspectives of realization of mechanisms of import substitution, together with development and strengthening of cooperation with foreign partners. As a result of the research, the authors came to the conclusion on the necessity for scientific and methodological substantiation and objective use of marketing & logistic instrumentarium for activation of programs of effective import substitution and entering external markets, minimization of risks and orientation at consumers’ needs.peer-reviewe
