Role of executive agencies for energy efficiency with a view on activities of Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency
Many countries, particularly in Europe, have executive energy efficiency
agencies at national, regional and local levels that are organized in
different ways. For all of them, it is common that there are existing
strategic needs in their countries for enhancement of conditions and measures
for rational use of energy and fuels. Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency was
established in 2002 within the reform of the energy sector in Serbia and its
current status was defined in 2004 by the Energy Law. It contributes to the
improvement of social responsibility towards energy in all structures of the
state and society, by proposing energy efficiency incentives, promoting
importance of energy efficiency, as well as by managing energy efficiency and
renewable energy programs and projects
Quasi-one and two-dimensional transitions of gases adsorbed on nanotube bundles
Grand canonical Monte Carlo simulations have been performed to determine the
adsorption behavior of Ar and Kr atoms on the exterior surface of a rope
(bundle) consisting of many carbon nanotubes. The computed adsorption isotherms
reveal phase transitions associated with the successive creation of quasi-one
dimensional lines of atoms near and parallel to the intersection of two
adjacent nanotubes.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figures, submitted to J. Chem. Phy
Spatial distribution of Belgrade air pollution
Belgrade air pollution has been monitored by two monitoring networks for more than a decade now, but no overall characterization of the pollution based on those results has been published so far. We give here seasonal spatial distributions of SO2, NO2, and BS (black smoke) over the city area, and discuss the characteristics in terms of likely sources and their seasonal contributions.Physical chemistry 2006 : 8th international conference on fundamental and applied aspects of physical chemistry; Belgrade (Serbia); 26-29 September 200
