Towards Confidential Computing: A Secure Cloud Architecture for Big Data Analytics and AI
Cloud computing provisions computer resources at a cost-effective way based
on demand. Therefore it has become a viable solution for big data analytics and
artificial intelligence which have been widely adopted in various domain
science. Data security in certain fields such as biomedical research remains a
major concern when moving their workflows to cloud, because cloud environments
are generally outsourced which are more exposed to risks. We present a secure
cloud architecture and describes how it enables workflow packaging and
scheduling while keeping its data, logic and computation secure in transit, in
use and at rest.Comment: 2023 IEEE 16th International Conference on Cloud Computing (IEEE

Methodology of assessment of population satisfaction with the quality of medical service based on the adaptive polling technologyn
This article covers the problem of assessment of patient satisfaction as a parameter of the quality of medical service. The existing methods of assessment of patients' attitude to a medical institution, their benefits and disadvantages are considered. The methodology for the calculation of the satisfaction coefficient is proposed, which can be the basis for the application of the technology (depending on the type and amount of medical care received by the patient) of adaptive polling and analysis of the information received
Simulation of the furnace of the boiler P-49 in the package of applied programs fire 3D
The combustion of solid low-grade fuel in LTV-boiler furnaces is a pressing research questions currently. The aim of this work is the creation of a computational grid model LTV-furnace to calculate the package of applied programs FIRE 3D. The study created a model LTV-furnace. The model tested on brown coal from the Nazarovo Deposit. The resulting distribution of temperatures and velocities has proved the performance of the model
IL-1β-induced and p38MAPK-dependent activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase-activated protein kinase 2 (MK2) in hepatocytes: signal transduction with robust and concentration-independent signal amplification
The IL-1β induced activation of the p38MAPK/MAPK-activated protein kinase 2 (MK2) pathway in hepatocytes is important for control of the acute phase response and regulation of liver regeneration. Many aspects of the regulatory relevance of this pathway have been investigated in immune cells in the context of inflammation. However, very little is known about concentration-dependent activation kinetics and signal propagation in hepatocytes and the role of MK2. We established a mathematical model for IL-1β-induced activation of the p38MAPK/MK2 pathway in hepatocytes that was calibrated to quantitative data on time- and IL-1β concentration-dependent phosphorylation of p38MAPK and MK2 in primary mouse hepatocytes. This analysis showed that, in hepatocytes, signal transduction from IL-1β via p38MAPK to MK2 is characterized by strong signal amplification. Quantification of p38MAPK and MK2 revealed that, in hepatocytes, at maximum, 11.3% of p38MAPK molecules and 36.5% of MK2 molecules are activated in response to IL-1β. The mathematical model was experimentally validated by employing phosphatase inhibitors and the p38MAPK inhibitor SB203580. Model simulations predicted an IC50 of 1–1.2 μm for SB203580 in hepatocytes. In silico analyses and experimental validation demonstrated that the kinase activity of p38MAPK determines signal amplitude, whereas phosphatase activity affects both signal amplitude and duration. p38MAPK and MK2 concentrations and responsiveness toward IL-1β were quantitatively compared between hepatocytes and macrophages. In macrophages, the absolute p38MAPK and MK2 concentration was significantly higher. Finally, in line with experimental observations, the mathematical model predicted a significantly higher half-maximal effective concentration for IL-1β-induced pathway activation in macrophages compared with hepatocytes, underscoring the importance of cell type-specific differences in pathway regulation
Corporate Culture of Contemporary Research University in Search of Complementarity of Humanitarian and Commercial Principles in Education (Russian Context)
Background: In the paper the formation of world-class research universities is analysed. The paper studies the history of the research university, prerequisites of its appearance, formation and its development toward modern research university. The modern research university is being cautiously viewed nowadays. The crisis of the university is its reality. The question of the corporate culture formation is now considered to be a topical matter in connection with globalization process, Methods: The authors implemented comparative analysis by comparing Humboldt's model of the research university and the modern one. Results: The comparison is made in regard to the idea of university, its criteria and mission. Special emphasis is laid on the analysis and comparison of corporate culture systems. Conclusions: Corporate culture is a novel criterion of the classical university that has recently arisen in the information society and now characterizes the university in a complementary way: on the one hand, as a competitive market entity, and on the other hand, as a guardian of its traditional, historically formed humanitarian criteria, ideas and mission. The following conclusion has been reached: the updated parameters have the identical form to those found by W. von Humboldt, only essence has changed
