The CWKB Method of Particle Production in Periodic Potential
In this work we study the particle production in time dependent periodic
potential using the method of complex time WKB (CWKB) approximation. In the
inflationary cosmology at the end of inflationary stage, the potential becomes
time dependent as well as periodic. Reheating occurs due to particle production
by the oscillating inflaton field. Using CWKB we obtain almost identical
results on catastrophic particle production as obtained by others.Comment: 17 pages, latex, 2 figure
Inseparability inequalities for higher-order moments for bipartite systems
There are several examples of bipartite entangled states of continuous
variables for which the existing criteria for entanglement using the
inequalities involving the second order moments are insufficient. We derive new
inequalities involving higher order correlation, for testing entanglement in
non-Gaussian states. In this context we study an example of a non-Gaussian
state, which is a bipartite entangled state of the form .
Our results open up an avenue to search for new inequalities to test

The Complex Time WKB Approximation And Particle Production
The complex time WKB (CWKB) approximation has been an effective technique to
understand particle production in curved as well as in flat spacetime. Earlier
we obtained the standard results on particle production in time dependent gauge
in various curved spacetime. In the present work we generalize the technique of
CWKB to the equivalent problems in space dependent gauge. Using CWKB, we first
obtain the gauge invariant result for particle production in Minkowski
spacetime in strong electric field. We then carry out particle production in
de-Sitter spacetime in space dependent gauge and obtain the same result that we
obtained earlier in time dependent gauge. The results obtained for de-Sitter
spacetime has a obvious extension to particle production in black hole
spacetime. It is found that the origin of Planckian spectrum is due to repeated
reflections between the turning points. As mentioned earlier, it is now
explicitly shown that particle production is accompanied by rotation of

Collapse of a Bose gas: kinetic approach
We have analytically explored temperature dependence of critical number of
particles for the collapse of a harmonically trapped attractively interacting
Bose gas below the condensation point by introducing a kinetic approach within
the Hartree-Fock approximation. The temperature dependence obtained by this

Obesity and Hypertension in Students of Jahangirnagar University: Alarming Issues
The prevalence of obesity and hypertension (HTN) in university students of Bangladesh has not reported yet. Considering the proper health maintenance of this population in mind, the study was aimed to determine the prevalence of obesity and HTN as well as relationship among them in the students of a residential university of Bangladesh, Jahangirnagar University. This descriptive cross sectional study included 500 randomly selected students (250 males and 250 females). Participants completed a questionnaire on physical activity, sedentary behaviour, dietary factors, smoking and family history of obesity, HTN, and coronary artery disease. Blood pressure and anthropometric parameters such as height, weight, waist and hip circumferences were measured following standard procedure. The Statistical analyses were performed using the software SPSS.The prevalence of overweight was 25% (31.1% males, 15.6% females) and obesity 7.2% (9.4% males, 4% females). Pre-HTN was found at 27.1% (38% males, 11.2% females) and HTN at 2.2% (3.3% males, 0.4% females). A high rate of smoking, sedentary behavior, physical inactivity, excessive consumption of unhealthy food, and caffeine-rich drinks was also observed. Significant correlation was found between parameters of obesity and HTN. High prevalence of pre-HTN in males and central obesity in females were found which is immediately needed to control for better health maintenance of this population
Trace element contents of selected antarctic meteorites, 1
Data are reported for volatile/mobile Ag, As, Au, Bi, Cd, Co, Cs, Cu, Ga, In, Rb, Sb, Se, Te, T1 and Zn in exterior and/or interior samples of four Antarctic meteorites: 77005 (unique achondrite); 77257 (unreilite); 77278 (L3); 77299 (H3). Exterior samples reflect contamination and/or leaching by weathering but trace element (ppm-ppt) contents in interior samples seem reasonable for representatives of these rare meteoritic types. The 77005 achondrite seems related to shergottites; other samples extend compositional ranges previously known for their types. With suitable precautions, Antarctic meteorite finds yield trace element data as reliable as those obtained from previously known falls
Kinetic exchange opinion model: solution in the single parameter map limit
We study a recently proposed kinetic exchange opinion model (Lallouache et.
al., Phys. Rev E 82:056112, 2010) in the limit of a single parameter map.
Although it does not include the essentially complex behavior of the multiagent
version, it provides us with the insight regarding the choice of order
parameter for the system as well as some of its other dynamical properties. We
also study the generalized two- parameter version of the model, and provide the
exact phase diagram. The universal behavior along this phase boundary in terms
of the suitably defined order parameter is seen.Comment: 14 pages, 9 figure
Abundance of low energy (50-150 MeV) antiprotons in cosmic rays
The progress is presented of the nuclear emulsion experiment to determine abundance of low energy antiprotons in cosmic rays. No antiprotons have been detected so far at upper limit of p/p less than or similar to 4 x .0001 in the energy range 50 MeV to 15 MeV
Design and fabrication of a data logger for atmospheric pressure, temperature and relative humidity for gas-filled detector development
A novel instrument has been developed to monitor and record the ambient pa-
rameters such as temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity. These
parameters are very essential for understanding the characteristics such as
gain of gas filled detectors like Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) and Multi Wire
Propor- tional Counter (MWPC). In this article the details of the design,
