A field trial based Agroforestry system was established at Pantnagar during Rabi season 2012-13 for predicting the effect of spacing on growth and yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Melia azedarach. The experiment was carried out in split-plot design consisting of two tree species in main plot, viz, Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Melia azedarch and four spacing treatments in sub-plot viz, 3.0m×1.0m, 3.0m×1.5m, 3.0m×2.0m and 3.0m×2.5m with three replications. The wheat crop variety“UP-2338” was sown on December 06, 2012 and harvested on April 27, 2013. Among the tree species, the maximum (15.1 q /ha) and significantly higher grain yield with 21.8% increment was recorded under Melia as compare to Eucalyptus. Whereas, among the different spacings, the wheat growth in terms of dry biomass at 120 DAS (495.4/m2 ), yield attributes and yield in terms of grain (16.0 q/ha), straw (29.4 q/ha) and biological yield (45.4 q/ha) under Melia was significantly higher at 3 × 2.5 m spacing as compared to other planting density. The correlation coefficient (r) studies exhibited that wheat growth and yield attributing characteristics shows significantly (p<0.05) high degree (r=0.75 to 1) positive correlation with each other. The investigation was done to find out the proper planting density for intercropping of wheat with tree species without comprising the wheat growth and enhancing its sustainability

Field experiment was conducted during the Rabi season of 2013-14 on an established plantation at old site of Agroforestry Research Centre, Patharchatta of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantna-gar, District Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, India to evaluate the effect of poplar based agroforestry system and open system (without poplar) on yield of different wheat varieties and soil physico-chemical properties. The experi-ment was laid out in randomized block design with 4 treatments and each replicated thrice under both the growing conditions. The crop treatments are wheat varieties viz. UP-2572, PBW-550, DBW-711 and PBW-373. The highest grain yield of all the wheat varieties was obtained under open farming system. Highest grain yield of wheat was rec-orded in UP-2572 (45.3 q/ha) under open farming system. Agroforestry is proven land use system for vertically en-hancing soil health against unsuitable weather condition. The distribution of soil properties was detected from the depth 0-15 cm in poplar based agroforestry system and as well as in open system. During the experiment it was found that agroforestry add more nutrients to the soil compared to open system i.e. highest pH (7.9), EC (0.43 dSm-1), available soil nitrogen (253.48 kg/ha), potassium (219.63 kg/ha) were achieved with UP-2572 while organic car-bon (1.07%) and available soil phosphorus (22.72 kg/ha) were attained with DBW-711

1514-1525Neurological disorders such as epilepsy remain a major concern to public health even though considerable therapy efforts aimed for developing effective medicine. The goal of the research is to design, development and identification of potential molecules by analysis and prediction of its interaction pattern with target along its pharmacokinetic parameters. In the present study we have screened and retrieved the Human voltage gated sodium channel target protein entries for epilepsy available in RCSBPDB database and the commercially available drugs as a ligand (such as Phenytoin, Ethotoin, Mephenytoin, fosphenytoin). The drugs have been docked to the above said receptor and the bio affinities values of the docked drugs Phenytoin (−6.50 kcal/mol), Mephenytoin (−6.52 kcal/mol) and Ethotoin (−6.40 kcal / mol) have been calculated using the NOVODOCKER docking module of Inventus v1.1 software. Depending on the bioaffinities values of the drugs several modifications have been carried out on the functional groups to improve the binding scores of the drugs. After screening through HitsGen; hits molecules the analogues of drug molecule were prepared using ChemDraw. Docking studies have been performed and further analysed by pharmacokinetic screening through pharmacopredicta which works through six assays namely CACO, efflux, BBB, FDp,VDSS and finally top 20 modified analogues those being satisfied through all the screening results, have been found to be better than the conventional drugs available and can be taken up for synthesis and in vivo studies
