With respect to its press, Manisa was mainly influenced by the nearby province of Izmir. Consequently, the number of newspapers published in Manisa never met the expectations. Moreover, few of the published newspapers managed to be long-established. Saruhan newspaper, which was the first newspaper released in Manisa after the National Struggle, is no exception. Until very recently, the existence of Saruhan newspaper was unknown. Its existence came to light with the release of Hakki Tarik Us Library Catalogue. Saruhan presumably stayed in business for less than two months and only five of its newspaper issues have survived to this day. This analysis of those five issues focuses mainly on the newspaper's technical information, writers and their articles. Subsequent parts include the purpose and principles of publication. Lastly, a compilation of the information it contains regarding Manisa in those days can be found. This analysis aims to shed light on an unknown part of Manisa's press history. Moreover, the role of Saruhan newspaper in Manisa's press history is discussed

Groundwork for the election was put into place upon the renewal decision in April 1923. This election marks the beginning of the single-party period. Multiple, symmetrical brain lesions affecting the bilateral thalami and cerebral white matter, which often show a concentric structure on CT and MR images, characterize acute necrotizing encephalopathy (ANE) of childhood. We describe the imaging findings of a 2-year-old child with ANE obtained with diffusion-weighted MR imaging. We discuss the significance of these findings, as well as the pathophysiology of ANE lesions, with reference to the appearance of the disease as revealed by diffusion-weighted MR imaging
