The purpose of the paper is to give an evolutionary analysis of the phenomenon of emotional intelligence as a factor of students' academic development in relation to the essential characteristics of communicative interaction. Authors comprehensively consider emotional intelligence, presenting it as a combination of components: Emotional awareness, emotion management, emotional self-motivation, empathy, recognition of other people's emotions in the process of communicative interaction. The authors have identified and implemented the technologies for the formation of emotional intelligence as a whole dynamic formation that provides an optimistic awareness, understanding and regulation of one's own emotions and emotions of others, and their effectiveness is proved on the example of student youth. The paper is intended for researchers, educators, and psychologists dealing with the problems of the formation of personal qualities, including the emotional intelligence of students

© 2017 Serials Publications. The relevance of the paper is conditioned by the need to form the foundations of the entrepreneurial initiative of future managers, as components of professional competence which stipulate their willingness to use the potential of the external and internal environment of the enterprise in order to achieve profit. The purpose of the paper is to develop a mechanism for the formation of future managers' entrepreneurial initiative based on the adaptation of pedagogical technologies and active teaching methods. The authors developed a "matrix of initiative learning", which allows them to change the position of students in the educational and professional activities within the framework of professional training, thus contributing to the development of entrepreneurial initiative. The effectiveness of this technique is proved by the results of experimental work, in the course of which the indicators of the effectiveness of the educational and professional activities of university students were evaluated. The paper is intended for educational specialists, teachers, researchers engaged in the optimization of educational technologies in modern learning environment

The article presents data on the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of antimicriobial resistance in Escherichia coli clinical isolates recovered from bovine microbiota (secretions from mammary glands, cervical swabs). 127 Escherichia coli isolates were studied, i.e. 44 from mammary glands secretions and 83 from cervical swabs. Disk diffusion method was used to study antimicrobial resistance of the cultures; minimum inhibitory concentrations of antimicrobials were determined in a serial dilution method; resistance genes were detected by polymerase chain reaction. The carried out research demonstrates a wide distribution of the isolates belonging to the phenotype resistant to ansamycins (rifampicin), semi-synthetic penicillins (ampicillin and amoxicillin), tetracyclines (doxycycline). The isolates showed a lower level of resistance to macrolides (azithromycin), amphenicols (levomycetin) and aminoglycosides (tobramycin). It was found that Escherichia coli clinical isolates are sensitive to third-generation cephalosporins and fluoroquinolone antimicrobials. However, since 28.46% of cultures demonstrate intermediate resistance to third-generation cephalosporins and 49.02% of Escherichia coli DNA samples isolated from mammal gland secretions had blaDHA gene associated with resistance to this group of antimicrobials, these antimicrobials could be hardly recommended as antibiotics of choice. Absence of VIM carbapenemase-encoding gene in the DNA of the recovered isolates and a low level of phenotypic resistance (10.22% of isolates from cervical swabs) can be one of the reasons for recommending first-line carbapenems as antibiotics of choice to treat animal diseases associated with Escherichia coli, along with fluoroquinolones as reserve antimicrobials. It was found that the recovered Escherichia coli isolates are more sensitive to combination antibiotics than to mono-antibiotics

Identification and Characterization of a cis-Acting Replication Element (cre) Adjacent to the Internal Ribosome Entry Site of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus

Over the last few years, an essential RNA structure known as the cis-acting replicative element (cre) has been identified within the protein-coding region of several picornaviruses. The cre, a stem-loop structure containing a conserved AAACA motif, functions as a template for addition of U residues to the protein primer 3B. By surveying the genomes of representatives of several serotypes of foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV), we discovered a putative cre in the 5′ untranslated region of the genome (contiguous with the internal ribosome entry site [IRES]). To confirm the role of this putative cre in replication, we tested the importance of the AAACA motif and base pairing in the stem in FMDV genome replication. To this end, cre mutations were cloned into an FMDV replicon and into synthetic viral genomes. Analyses of the properties of these replicons and genomes revealed the following. (i) Mutations in the AAACA motif severely reduced replication, and all viruses recovered from genomes containing mutated AAACA sequences had reverted to the wild-type sequence. (ii) Mutations in the stem region showed that the ability to form this base-paired structure was important for replication. Although the cre was contiguous with the IRES, the mutations we created did not significantly reduce IRES-mediated translation in vivo. Finally, the position of the cre at the 5′ end of the genome was shown not to be critical for replication, since functional replicons and viruses lacking the 5′ cre could be obtained if a wild-type cre was added to the genome following the 3D(pol) coding region. Taken together, these results support the importance of the cre in replication and demonstrate that the activity of this essential element does not require localization within the polyprotein-encoding region of the genome
