The competitiveness development in agribusiness is based on implementing a valueadded and marketing strategy for the agrifood product that positions it into national and international market. Instruments related to Intellectual Property, in order to be included in the property’s right allows differentiation as an intangible asset, providing legal security and guaranteeing that the income generated by such differentiation get back to the farmers. In this case study referred to Rabbit production in the province of La Rioja, Argentina, collective trademark is the right tool to apply since it enables the construction of "social capital"; bringing together stakeholders around a production and marketing scheme, empowering them and transcending the economic´s aspects. The implementation of trademark’s strategy is reached after a process of knowledge’s construction that allows improvements with the use of existing technologies and resources that helps to increase scale’s economy, and the incorporation of entrepreneur’s associations. Those actions have been supported and driven by local development’s policies of the local government

The Valle Inferior del Río Chubut (VIRCH) is the main valley irrigated of Patagonia –Argentina- with 23,000 hectares (69,000 acres) where, after livestock, the vegetable and fruit production has gained second place in importance because of its localization underneath the Barrier of Animal and Plant Health of Rio Colorado, which makes the products safer since it is used much less agrochemicals, and consequently offers higher quality and less perishable, although the valley production do not cover local consumption. Because of that, the Provincial Government with the National Government’s technical support created a Program denominated "Development and Strengthening of an Agrifood Platform for fruit and vegetable in Chubut Province", counting with local and international financing. This proposal tries to ensure the provision or supply of fruits and vegetables to local consumers for which requires infrastructure and adequate tools to improve transparency of commercial transactions. In the meantime, to transforming the system of wholesale marketing it is required the construction of a platform as a place of development of new services companies and improvement the current ones. This Unit will be a right marketplace for buying wholesale horticultural products coming from other markets outside the region and for stimulates consumption through the implementation of food safety and quality control among other advantages such as fair prices. The main purpose is to analyze modernization of the Trading System and Logistics for fruits and vegetables of the province of Chubut

“USE OF BIOMASS RESOURCES FROM FOREST AND INDUSTRIAL RELATED ACTIVITIES FOR GENERATION OF ENERGY IN THE ALUMINE AREA, PROVINCE OF NEUQUEN”

The global context shows a significant increase in terms of energy consumption and dependence on fossil fuels, leading to high costs for the population, and its natural and social environment as well. This situation should be tackled in the very short term. Currently, the environmental impact registered has further led to the generation of new alternatives aimed at reducing this impact and maximizing sustainability. Focus has been placed on the development of renewable energy from biomass sources. In Argentina, one feasible proposed alternative consists in using forest waste for the development of bio-energy. The available inventories carried out in the Aluminé area, province of Neuquén, reveal a wide availability of suitable land for forest crops, building the necessary conditions for the forestry sector to become one of the productive activities with greater development possibilities in the Neuquén area. It is thus necessary, to introduce a paradigm shift in the energy matrix, through the use of these biomass resources derived from the forest industry activity. This change will replace, in the mid and long term and to a certain level, fossil fuels which the region currently depends on, and will make possible to achieve, in the near future, the necessary self-sufficiency and sustainability for energy development. This is initially intended for the region, and potentially nationwide
