In the investigation that was performed, the authors studied the structure and properties of lymphocytes’ surfaces in patients with chronic lymphoblastic leukemia with application of atomic force microscopy technology. It was stated that development of chronic lymphoblastic leukemia is characterized with circulation of immature forms of lymphocytic series in peripheral bloodstream, for which increase of surface potential by 456% (p<0.05) as compared with control group, is typica

Mathematical model of coordination number of spherical packing

    Get PDF
The article considers a mathematical model of the coordination number, which allows obtaining an equation for multi component spherical packing in the entire range of its change. The resulting model can be used in both 2-d and 3-d spaces. The concept of the coordination index is introduced as a function of the inter-particle distance related to a single particle located near the central particle. The model provides unambiguous compliance between the simulated and calculated data on the coordination numbers of the spherical packin

Astrophysical S17(0) factor extraction from breakup of 8B on 58Ni at energies near the Coulomb barrier

We have performed continuum-discretized coupled channels (CDCC) calculations of the breakup of 8B on 58Ni and direct proton transfer for the 8B+58Ni system at laboratory energies of 20-28.4 MeV. The influence of the 7Be core-target optical potential (OP) on the breakup cross section was investigated. Elastic scattering angular distributions for the 7Be+58Ni and 8B+58Ni systems at five different energies around the Coulomb barrier were studied, and a reasonable energy-independent OP for each system was obtained. Using these OPs and two different 7Be-p relative motion wave functions, and summing breakup and direct proton transfer contributions, we were able to fit the experimental cross section at a 8B laboratory energy of 25.75 MeV. We calculated the excitation function for the 7Be emission in the 8B+58Ni reaction, where 7Be products were measured at the forward angle θlab=45° in the energy interval Elab=20-28.4 MeV. In view of the peripheral character of the B8 breakup reaction at near-barrier energies, we could extract the asymptotic normalization coefficient for the 7Be-p system, which was found to be CBe-p,p3/22=0.543±0.027 fm-1. Finally, the astrophysical S17(0) factor was found to be S17(0)=20.8±1.1 eV b.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación FPA2006-13807-c02-01Programa Consolider-Ingenio 2010 CSD2007-0004

Features of human papillomavirus infection frequency in different regions of the Russian Federation (literature review)

    Get PDF
Numerous studies have shown the role of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the generation of cervical cancer. The review presents Russian researching data aboutfrequency of the HPV in different regions of the Russian Federation. The regional feature in the frequency of the HPV is observed. The average population frequency of the HPV varies from 13 to 63 % in different region. The frequency of the HPV reaches 82 % in groups of patients with dysplasia of the 3rd degree and cervical cancer. The most oncogenic type 16 the HPV is the most common virus among other papillomavirus in the most Russian regions that corresponds to the global data. This type of virus is the most common in both groups of women and men. Type 16 of HPV with high frequency is detected in different age groups, and among clinically healthy patients and in groups of patients with various gynecological pathologies. Modern methods of molecular diagnostics, in particular, the PCR method, allow to detect and genotype the HPV with high sensitivity and specificity, and to determine the viral load. The PCR method in screening programs can identify risk groups of the urogenital pathology in examined women

Association of the filaggrin (FLG) gene with atopic dermatitis (AD) in Caucasians from Central Russia was studiedin the sample of 700 patients and 612 controls. The biological process enrichment analyses suggest that the target AD candidate genes influence the formation of the cornified envelope, keratinization and cornification, and more than twenty other pathways related to skin development, programmed cell death, and regulation of water loss via ski

Integrating linear ordinary fourthorder differential equations in the MAPLE programming environment

    Get PDF
This paper reports a method to solve ordinary fourth-order differential equations in the form of ordinary power series and, for the case of regular special points, in the form of generalized power series. An algorithm has been constructed and a program has been developed in the MAPLE environment (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) in order to solve the fourth-order differential equation

Effect of electron irradiation on vortex dynamics in YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x} single crystals

We report on drastic change of vortex dynamics with increase of quenched disorder: for rather weak disorder we found a single vortex creep regime, which we attribute to a Bragg-glass phase, while for enhanced disorder we found an increase of both the depinning current and activation energy with magnetic field, which we attribute to entangled vortex phase. We also found that introduction of additional defects always increases the depinning current, but it increases activation energy only for elastic vortex creep, while it decreases activation energy for plastic vortex creep.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, submited to Phys.
