WOQOL-BREF, a shorter form of this test, which involved 100 items, was developed by the same group and it was interpreted into Turkish afterwards, by Fidaner et al. (1999). Originally composed of 26 items, this scale's Turkish version was comprised of 27 items. The data was analyzed via SPSS package program. In order to determine the differences in socio-demographic features of the participant students, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) was used, and for observing the group differences, Tukey HSD and Independent Sample T Test were used. When the results of the Life Quality Scale of the students were analyzed, it was observed that there was statistically no significant difference in any sub-dimension of the life satisfaction, including the life satisfaction total points

The present study aims to determine whether level of self talk behaviors of athletes is one of the determinants of their continuous confidence levels. Whereas totally 358 athletes (Xage= 23.77 ± 3.87) were voluntarily participated into this study, 180 of them were female (Xage= 22.76 ± 3.050) and 236 of them were male (Xage= 24.56 ± 4.263). Experiences of various branches of team sport and personal sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, athletics, biking and etc.) in sport activities were determined as 98.25 ± 24.70. Whereas descriptive statistical methods were employed in analysis and assessment of collected data; t-test and multiple step regression analysis was utilized in independent samples. Aforesaid analyses were conducted through the SPSS package software and significance level was considered as P<0.05. According to the study findings, a significant positive linear correlation was determined between self talk behaviors of athletes and their continuous sportive confidence. Furthermore, it was observed that self talk behavior of athletes was one of the significant determinants of their continuous sportive confidence levels. Finally, it is possible to conclude that continuous sportive confidences, one of the important psychological factors in performances of athletes, were correlated with their self talk behavior of athletes and that it was one of the significant determinants of continuous sportive confidence levels

Bu araştırmanın amacı sporcuların zihinsel dayanıklılık düzeylerinin belirlenmesinde kendinle konuşma ve tutkunluk düzeylerinin belirleyici rolünü tespit etmektir. Araştırmaya 225'i (% 46,5) kadın (Yaş=20,77±1,91), 259'u (% 53,5) erkek (Yaş=22,00±2,64) olmak üzere toplam 484 sporcu (Yaş=21,43 ± 2,40) katılmıştır. Araştırmanın problem ve alt problemlerine yönelik cevap bulmak amacıyla araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında Sporda Zihinsel Dayanıklılık Ölçeği, Kendinle Konuşma Ölçeği'', Sporda Tutkunluk Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu'' kullanılmıştır. Uygulama sonunda elde edilen veriler tek tek incelenerek hatalı ve eksik dolduran 17 kişinin, uç değer analizleri sonucunda da 82 kişinin verileri analiz dışı bırakılarak kalan 484 kişinin verileri üzerinden analizler yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.0 bilgisayar programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci amacı doğrultusunda değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek için pearson korelasyon analizi; bağımsız değişkenlerin her birinin tek başına çift uyumu üzerindeki yordamadaki güçlerini belirlemek amacıyla adımsal regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda sporcuların uyumlu tutkunluk, takıntılı tutkunluk ve motivasyonel kendinle konuşma düzeyleri arttıkça; zihinsel dayanıklılığa ilişkin güven düzeylerinin artacağı, uyumlu tutkunluk düzeyleri arttıkça ve takıntılı tutkunluk düzeyleri azaldıkça zihinsel dayanıklılığa ilişkin devamlılık düzeylerinin artacağı ve sporcuların motivasyonel kendinle konuşma düzeyleri ve takıntılı tutkunluk düzeyleri azaldıkça zihinsel dayanıklılığa ilişkin kontrol düzeylerinin artacağı söylenebilir. The aim of this research is to identify the role of self-talk and passion in determining the level of mental toughness of athletes. A total of 484 (Age=21,43 ± 2,40) athletes participated in the research: 225 (46,5%) women (Age=20,77±1,91) and 259 (53,5 %) men (Age=22,00±2,64). "Sport Mental Toughness Questionnaire", "Self-Talk Questionnaire", "Sport Passion Questionnaire" and "Personal Information Form" were used to collect research data in order to find answers to the researcher's problems and sub problems. After examining the data obtained at the end of the study the data of 17 people whose data were incorrect and incomplete and 82 people as result of extreme value analysis were excluded, thus, the data of remaining 484 people was analyzed. SPSS 22.0 computer program was used for the analysis of the data. Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between variables in the first objective direction of the study; stepwise regression analysis was used to determine the predictive power of each of the independent variables on the dyadic adjustment alone. As a result, it can be said that as the level of harmonious passion, obsessive passion and motivational self-talk increases, the level of confidence related to mental toughness increases; as the level of harmonious passion increases and the level of obsessive passion decreases, the level of Constancy related to mental toughness increases; as the level of motivational self-talk by the athletes and the level of obsessive passion decreases, the level of control related to mental toughness increases
