Cet article se propose d’analyser la formation y la trajectoire d’un mouvement ésotérique contre-culturel apparu au Chili pendant le gouvernement de Salvador Allende et l’Unité Populaire (1970-1973). Il s’intéresse au choc culturel qui s’est produit entre les pouvoirs politiques marxistes de la « voie chilienne vers le socialisme » qui défendirent le matérialisme dialectique et la lutte de classe, et un groupe de jeunes qui articulèrent un projet révolutionnaire hétérodoxe et « anti-système », fondé sur la notion de « révolution totale » —une révolution du corps, de l’esprit, et de l’âme— élaborée par un penseur argentin dont le pseudonyme est "Silo"
