Radiative corrections to the structure functions and sum rules in polarized DIS
The one-loop NLO radiative corrections to the observables in polarized DIS
using assumption that a quark is an essential massive particle are considered.
If compared with classical QCD formulae the obtained results are identical for
the unpolarized and different for polarized sum rules, that can be explained as
the influence of the finite quark mass effects on NLO QCD corrections. The
explicit expression for one-loop NLO QCD contribution to the structure function
g_2 is presented.Comment: 6 pages,1 figure. Talk given at the International Workshop "Symmetry

Universal factorized formula for the cross-section of two-particle scattering
We analyze the process of two-particle scattering with unstable particle in
an intermediate state. It was shown that the cross-section can be represented
in the universal factorized form for an arbitrary set of particles.
Phenomenological analysis of factorization effect is fulfilled.Comment: 8 pages, corrected typos. change conten
Basic Morphometric Characteristics for Antarctica and Budget of theAntarctic Ice Cover
On the foundation of the latest cartographical materials, obtained in the period of IGY and following years I. A. SUYETOVA carried out the complex of cartometrical works and received the following values : 1. The area of Antarctica. 2. The average altitude of the ice and rock surface in relation to the ocean level. 3. The volume and thickness of the ice of the ice sheet of Antarctica. 4. Perimeter of Antarctica. The valuation of the Antarctic perimeter as well as the latest glaciological facts allowed to make new attempts in calculating the budget of the Antarctic ice sheet. The analysis of facts necessary for calculation of the budget allowed to calculate maximum and average square miscalculations. The average square miscalculation shows the positive ice-budget of Antarctica. The valuation of the maximum miscalculation shows the equilibrium of ice in Antarctica
Factorization effects in a model of unstable particles
The effects of factorization are considered within the framework of the model
of unstable particles with a smeared mass. It is shown that two-particle cross
section and three-particle decay width can be described by the universal
factorized formulae for an unstable particles of an arbitrary spin in an
intermediate state. The exact factorization is caused by the specific structure
of the model unstable-particle propagators. This result is generalized to
complicated scattering and decay-chain processes with unstable particles in
intermediate states. We analyze applicability of the method and evaluate its
accuracy.Comment: 13 pages, 7 figure
Dust remobilization in fusion plasmas under steady state conditions
The first combined experimental and theoretical studies of dust
remobilization by plasma forces are reported. The main theoretical aspects of
remobilization in fusion devices under steady state conditions are analyzed. In
particular, the dominant role of adhesive forces is highlighted and generic
remobilization conditions - direct lift-up, sliding, rolling - are formulated.
A novel experimental technique is proposed, based on controlled adhesion of
dust grains on tungsten samples combined with detailed mapping of the dust
deposition profile prior and post plasma exposure. Proof-of-principle
experiments in the TEXTOR tokamak and the EXTRAP-T2R reversed-field pinch are
presented. The versatile environment of the linear device Pilot-PSI allowed for
experiments with different magnetic field topologies and varying plasma
conditions that were complemented with camera observations.Comment: 16 pages, 11 figures, 3 table
Near-threshold boson pair production in the model of smeared-mass unstable particles
Near-threshold production of boson pairs is considered within the framework
of the model of unstable particles with smeared mass. We describe the principal
aspects of the model and consider the strategy of calculations including the
radiative corrections. The results of calculations are in good agreement with
LEP II data and Monte-Carlo simulations. Suggested approach significantly
simplifies calculations with respect to the standard perturbative one.Comment: 15 pages, 6 figures, minor corrections, references adde
QED Radiative Corrections in Processes of Exclusive Pion Electroproduction
Formalism for radiative correction (RC) calculation in exclusive pion
electroproduction on the proton is presented. A FORTRAN code EXCLURAD is
developed for the RC procedure. The numerical analysis is done in the
kinematics of current Jefferson Lab experiments.Comment: 13 pages, 9 figures; requires RevTeX
POLRAD 2.0. FORTRAN code for the Radiative Corrections Calculation to Deep Inelastic Scattering of Polarized Particles
The FORTRAN code POLRAD 2.0 for radiative correction calculation in inclusive

nucleons and nuclei is described. Its theoretical basis, structure and
algorithms are discussed in details.Comment: 54 pages, 9 figure
Capture rate and neutron helicity asymmetry for ordinary muon capture on hydrogen
Applying heavy-baryon chiral perturbation theory to ordinary muon capture
(OMC) on a proton, we calculate the capture rate and neutron helicity asymmetry
up to next-to-next-to-leading order. For the singlet hyperfine state, we obtain
the capture rate Gamma_0 = 695 sec^{-1} while, for the triplet hyperfine state,
we obtain the capture rate Gamma_1 = 11.9 sec^{-1} and the neutron asymmetry
alpha_1 = 0.93. If the existing formalism is used to relate these atomic
capture rates to Gamma_{liq}, the OMC rate in liquid hydrogen, then Gamma_{liq}
corresponding to our improved values of Gamma_0 and Gamma_1 is found to be
significantly larger than the experimental value, primarily due to the updated
larger value of g_A. We argue that this apparent difficulity may be correlated
to the specious anomaly recently reported for mu^- + p to n + nu_mu + gamma,
and we suggest a possibility to remove these two "problems" simply and
simultaneously by reexamining the molecular physics input that underlies the
conventional analysis of Gamma_{liq}.Comment: 14 pages, 1 figur
