Tendon Structure and Classification
Tendons play an important role in the movement by transmitting the contraction force produced by the muscles to the bone they hold, and their contribution to stability to the joints is extremely important. Tendons generally have a very complex structure; they are actually heavily composed of connective tissue and have a small number of cells and rich extracellular matrix, similar to other connective tissue structures. The tendons are mainly composed of three parts: the tendon itself, the muscle-tendon junction, and the bone insertion. The simplest classification for the tendons classified according to their shapes, settlements, and anatomical structures is the classification made according to their shapes. Tendons can be classified in many ways according to their location, but the most logical one is the tendon classification in relation to the functions they see as intraarticular and extraarticular. According to their anatomy, the tendons can also be classified as sheathed or synovial-coated or unsealed or paratenon-coated. According to their functions, tendons can be classified as energy storage or positional tendons
The effect of maximal aerobic speed training combined with small-sided games on performance parameters in soccer
The purpose of this research was to compare the effects of maximal aerobic speed (MAS) training, small-sided games (SSG) training, and combined training (CT) on sprint, agility, lactate accumulation, repeated sprint, aerobic, and anaerobic endurance performances. Thirty under-16 male players participated in a 6-week randomized training study. Pre- and post-training all players completed a test battery involving body composition (body height and Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry-DEXA), sprint tests (10 m, 20 m, and 30 m), Yo-Yo 1 test, Arrowhead agility test, blood lactate test, and Yo-Yo 2 test. A global positioning system (GPS) was used for monitoring. After the pre-tests, the players were randomly assigned to three groups as MAS, SSG, and CT. Mixed two-way ANOVA was used to compare the pre-test and post-test performance of the three groups. While the CT group had higher changes in body composition, repeated sprint, aerobic, and anaerobic endurance parameters compared to the MAS training group (p.05). In conclusion, coaches and sports scientists are advised to choose CT for more efficient training, considering the differences between the MAS training and CT methods

Deterministic Neural Illumination Mapping for Efficient Auto-White Balance Correction
Auto-white balance (AWB) correction is a critical operation in image signal
processors for accurate and consistent color correction across various
illumination scenarios. This paper presents a novel and efficient AWB
correction method that achieves at least 35 times faster processing with
equivalent or superior performance on high-resolution images for the current
state-of-the-art methods. Inspired by deterministic color style transfer, our
approach introduces deterministic illumination color mapping, leveraging
learnable projection matrices for both canonical illumination form and
AWB-corrected output. It involves feeding high-resolution images and
corresponding latent representations into a mapping module to derive a
canonical form, followed by another mapping module that maps the pixel values
to those for the corrected version. This strategy is designed as
resolution-agnostic and also enables seamless integration of any pre-trained
AWB network as the backbone. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of
our approach, revealing significant performance improvements and reduced time
complexity compared to state-of-the-art methods. Our method provides an
efficient deep learning-based AWB correction solution, promising real-time,
high-quality color correction for digital imaging applications. Source code is

Endovascular treatment of femoro-popliteal artery stenosis/obstruction using a repositionable self-expanding nitinol stent: a preliminary study
Introduction. The aim of this study was to report our preliminary results regarding the use of the repositionable self-expanding nitinol stent in a cohort of patients with femoro-popliteal artery occlusion/stenosis.
Material and methods. The study groups consisted a total of 8 patients (10 extremities) between 47 and 70 years of age who presented with typical symptoms of intermittent claudication and/or critical limb ischaemia (Fontaine stage II–IV) and underwent primary elective superficial femoral artery percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and/or stenting using a Jaguar repositionable self-expanding nitinol stent in the dates of 2013–2015. Information for patency at 6th month after the stenting procedure was obtained.
Results. The mean operation time was 38.56 ± 26.40 minutes. No patients had procedure-related stent fracture, distal thromboembolism, haematoma, femoral pseudoaneurysm or stent occlusion. At 6-month follow-up, at least one categorical improvement was observed in 7 patients (87.5% of intent-to-treat population).
Conclusions. The Jaguar self-expanding nitinol stent has several technical advantages, and its use was associated with a low risk of complications. Further study is warranted to establish its superiority in providing good long-term patency
Aquabis(4-formylbenzoato-κ2 O 1,O 1′)bis(isonicotinamide-κN 1)cadmium(II) monohydrate
The asymmetric unit of the title CdII complex, [Cd(C8H5O3)2(C6H6N2O)2(H2O)]·H2O, contains two 4-formylbenzoate (FB), two isonicotinamide (INA) ligands, one coordinated and one uncoordinated water molecule; the FB ions act as bidentate ligands. The coordination number of the Cd(II) atom is seven within a CdO5N2 donor set. Intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the uncoordinated water molecules to the carboxyl groups. The dihedral angle between the carboxylate groups and the adjacent benzene rings are 17.53 (13) and 16.55 (14)°. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O, N—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a supramolecular structure. The amide group of one of the INA ligands is disordered over two orientations, with an occupancy ratio of 0.759 (3):0.241 (3)
Tetraaquabis(isonicotinamide-κN 1)cobalt(II) bis(4-formylbenzoate) dihydrate
The asymmetric unit of the crystal structure of the title complex, [Co(C6H6N2O)2(H2O)4](C8H5O3)2·2H2O, contains one-half of the complex cation with the CoII ion located on an inversion center, a 4-formylbenzoate (FB) counter-anion and an uncoordinated water molecule. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the CoII ion form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement with an average Co—O bond length of 2.086 Å; the slightly distorted octahedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the isonicotinamide (INA) ligands at a slightly longer distance [2.1603 (14) Å] in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the carboxylate group and the attached benzene ring is 5.93 (13)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 3.09 (6)°. In the crystal structure, O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a three-dimensional network. π–π Contacts between the benzene and pyridine rings [centroid–centroid distance = 3.758 (1) Å] may further stabilize the crystal structure
