The Vernacular Chinese Education Consciousness of Classical Chinese Related Educators in the Early Republic of China : Take Educational Magazines as an Example
Ministry of Education changed the subject Classical Chinese to Vernacular Chinese in January of 1920. It represents the impermanent surpass of Classical Chinese over Vernacular Chinese. However, since 1924, anti-Vernacular Chinese force commenced an advocation for Classical Chinese Education. How and why did this reversal happen? This essay focuses on the Vernacular Chinese education consciousness of Classical Chinese related educators at that time, and investigates inherent causes of this retro trend by analyzing the ideological basis of establishing the subject Vernacular Chinese. Academic resources include articles republished in The Education Magazine and The Chung Hua Educational Review during 1912 to 1919, when Vernacular Chinese subject had not yet been established. This is to analyze the reception of Vernacular Chinese Education in educational circles, in particular, the Classical Chinese teachers through finding the opinions reflected in these two magazines. The essay concludes that the educators have already had an understanding about the importance of Vernacular Chinese teaching in the Classical Chinese subject and they had accumulated teaching experience which benefitted from Japanese Education. On the contrary, the proposition of changing the subject Classical Chinese to Vernacular Chinese, there was divide between the teachers. Therefore, they did not show much high consciousness in Vernacular Chinese Education. This explains that the idea that the establishment of Vernacular Chinese as a subject was not solid. This among other reasons, explains why the retro trend afterwards rose up

We study the decays , , , , , , with , from the
perspective of the being a molecular state made from the interaction
of the and components. We consider both
the external and internal emission decay mechanisms and find an explanation for
the and production rates, based on the mass
difference of the charged and neutral components. We also find
that the internal and external emission mechanisms add constructively in the

destructively in the case of , reactions. This feature explains the decay widths of the present

Stemness And Chemotherapeutic Drug Resistance Induced By Eif5a2 Overexpression In Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the most lethal malignancies of the digestive tract in East Asian countries. Multimodal therapies, including adjuvant chemotherapy and neo-adjuvant chemotherapy, have become more often used for patients with advanced ESCC. However, the chemotherapy effect is often limited by patients' drug resistance. This study demonstrated that EIF5A2 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A2) overexpression induced stemness and chemoresistance in ESCC cells. We showed that EIF5A2 overexpression in ESCC cells resulted in increased chemoresistance to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), docetaxel and taxol. In contrast, shRNAs suppressing eIF5A2 increased tumor sensitivity to these chemotherapeutic drugs. In addition, EIF5A2 overexpression was correlated with a poorer overall survival in patients with ESCC who underwent taxane-based chemotherapy after esophagectomy (P > 0.05). Based on these results, we suggest that EIF5A2 could be a predictive biomarker for selecting appropriate chemo-treatment for ESCC patients and EIF5A2 inhibitors might be considered as combination therapy to enhance chemosensitivity in patients with ESCC.published_or_final_versio
Characterization of the RNA-binding properties of the triple-gene-block protein 2 of Bamboo mosaic virus
The triple-gene-block protein 2 (TGBp2) of Bamboo mosaic virus (BaMV) is a transmembrane protein which was proposed to be involved in viral RNA binding during virus transport. Here, we report on the RNA-binding properties of TGBp2. Using tyrosine fluorescence spectroscopy and UV-crosslinking assays, the TGBp2 solubilized with Triton X-100 was found to interact with viral RNA in a non-specific manner. These results raise the possibility that TGBp2 facilitates intracellular delivery of viral RNA through non-specific protein-RNA interaction
The Stable Association of Virion with the Triple-geneblockProtein 3-based Complex of Bamboo mosaic virus
The triple-gene-block protein 3 (TGBp3) of Bamboo mosaic virus (BaMV) is an integral endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membraneprotein which is assumed to form a membrane complex to deliver the virus intracellularly. However, the virus entity that isdelivered to plasmodesmata (PD) and its association with TGBp3-based complexes are not known. Results from chemicalextraction and partial proteolysis of TGBp3 in membrane vesicles revealed that TGBp3 has a right-side-out membranetopology; i.e., TGBp3 has its C-terminal tail exposed to the outer surface of ER. Analyses of the TGBp3-specificimmunoprecipitate of Sarkosyl-extracted TGBp3-based complex revealed that TGBp1, TGBp2, TGBp3, capsid protein (CP),replicase and viral RNA are potential constituents of virus movement complex. Substantial co-fractionation of TGBp2, TGBp3and CP, but not TGBp1, in the early eluted gel filtration fractions in which virions were detected after TGBp3-specificimmunoprecipitation suggested that the TGBp2- and TGBp3-based complex is able to stably associate with the virion. Thisnotion was confirmed by immunogold-labeling transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of the purified virions. In addition, mutational and confocal microscopy analyses revealed that TGBp3 plays a key role in virus cell-to-cell movement byenhancing the TGBp2- and TGBp3-dependent PD localization of TGBp1. Taken together, our results suggested that the cellto-cell movement of potexvirus requires stable association of the virion cargo with the TGBp2- and TGBp3-based membranecomplex and recruitment of TGBp1 to the PD by this complex
Development of Chinese food picture library for inducing food cravings
Cue-induced food cravings are strong desires directed toward specific foods, usually ones with high caloric content, and can lead to overeating. However, although food cravings vary according to individual preferences for specific high-calorie food subtypes, a structured library of food craving-inducing pictures including multiple categories of high-calorie foods does not yet exist. Here, we developed and validated a picture library of Chinese foods (PLCF) consisting of five subtypes of high-calorie foods (i.e., sweets, starches, salty foods, fatty foods, and sugary drinks) to allow for more nuanced future investigations in food craving research, particularly in Chinese cultural contexts. We collected 100 food images representing these five subtypes, with four food items per subtype depicted in five high-resolution photographs each. We recruited 241 individuals with overweight or obesity to rate the food pictures based on craving, familiarity, valence, and arousal dimensions. Of these participants, 213 reported the severity of problematic eating behaviors as a clinical characteristic. Under the condition of mixing multiple subtypes of high-calorie foods, we did not observe significant differences in craving ratings for high- and low-calorie food images (ptukey > 0.05). Then, we compared each subtype of high-calorie food images to low-calorie ones, and found craving ratings were greater for the images of salty foods and sugary drinks (ps < 0.05). Furthermore, we conducted a subgroup analysis of individuals according to whether they did or did not meet the criteria for food addiction (FA) and found that greater cravings induced by the images of high-calorie food subtypes (i.e., salty foods and sugary drinks) only appeared in the subgroup that met the FA criteria. The results show that the PLCF is practical for investigating food cravings
Modulated Entanglement Evolution Via Correlated Noises
We study entanglement dynamics in the presence of correlated environmental
noises. Specifically, we investigate the quantum entanglement dynamics of two
spins in the presence of correlated classical white noises, deriving Markov
master equation and obtaining explicit solutions for several interesting
classes of initial states including Bell states and X form density matrices. We
show how entanglement can be enhanced or reduced by the correlation between the
two participating noises.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures. To be published in Quantum Information
