English Borrowings from the Economic Sphere in the Verbal Lexicon of Native Speakers of Russian in the Era of Globalization
The article looks into the issue of the integration of loanwords appertaining to the financial lexis of the Russian language. Due to an overwhelming number of borrowings in the professional vocabulary of bank workers, the prevalence of anglicisms over Russian words in their written and verbal speech cannot go unnoticed. However, given a generally low level of bank workersβ English language competence, this situation leads to peculiar, nonstandard adaptation of anglicisms at all language levels. Accordingly, the article presents the possible ways anglicisms integrate into the Russian language, and examines the native speakersβ attitude to borrowed words and their preferences in using anglicisms. Furthermore, the authors have identified the main reasons why the speakers frequently resort to anglicisms and the degree of semantic awareness behind their choice. The most commonly-used borrowed terms have also been singled out

The image of the mother in the worldviews of the Altai peoples has a cross-cultures archetypal character and manifests itself at all systemic levels of their three-sphere mythological model of the universe β cosmological, generic and personal. The sacred attitude to the mother, the spiritual and symbolic expression of her sacred nature in the Altai tradition is as hierarchical as the figurative and symbolic mythological model of the world itself. The comprehension of the spiritual meanings of the image of the mother produced out from the standpoint of a systematic analysis of the fundamental axiological complex of Altai mythology and the semantic field of semiotic constructions in the artistic compositions of modern painters of Altai. This approach made it possible to reveal a number of features in the compositions and figurative language of the visual arts of Altai, due to the poetic type of artistic and figurative thinking of representatives of traditional Altai culture. They concern the semantic parity of real and sacred space, the creation and application of creative ways of constructing an artistic perspective, as well as the use of traditional figurative and semantic mythological symbolism, enriched by the free flight of the authorβs spiritual and figurative fantasy. In the spiritual and aesthetic aspect, the fine arts of Altai fully meet the current trends of the cultural industries in changing the semantic vector from the βculture of consumptionβ to the βculture of impressionsβ. The internal meaningful and semantic game potential of literary texts is able to enrich the development of the concept of the tourism sector of Altai with cultural, ideological blocks of intellectual games aimed at self-knowledge of the individual for residents and guests of the region, the discovery of the sacred spiritual depth and beauty of the worl
Kinematic differences between multiple populations in Galactic globular clusters
The formation process of multiple populations in globular clusters is still
up for debate. Kinematic differences between the populations are particularly
interesting in this respect, because they allow us to distinguish between
single-epoch formation scenarios and multi-epoch formation scenarios. We
analyze the kinematics of 25 globular clusters and aim to find kinematic
differences between multiple populations to constrain their formation process.
We split red-giant branch (RGB) stars in each cluster into three populations
(P1, P2, P3) for the type-II clusters and two populations (P1 and P2) otherwise
using Hubble photometry. We derive the rotation and dispersion profiles for
each cluster and its populations by using all stars with radial velocity
measurements obtained from MUSE spectroscopy. Based on these profiles, we
calculate the rotation strength in terms of ordered-over-random motion
evaluated at the half-light radius of the
cluster. We detect rotation in all but four clusters. For NGC~104, NGC~1851,
NGC~2808, NGC~5286, NGC~5904, NGC~6093, NGC~6388, NGC~6541, NGC~7078 and
NGC~7089 we also detect rotation for P1 and/or P2 stars. For NGC~2808, NGC~6093
and NGC~7078 we find differences in between
P1 and P2 that are larger than . Whereas we find that P2 rotates
faster than P1 for NGC~6093 and NGC~7078, the opposite is true for NGC~2808.
However, even for these three clusters, the differences are still of low
significance. We find that the strength of rotation of a cluster generally
scales with its median relaxation time. For P1 and P2, the corresponding
relation is very weak at best. We observe no correlation between the difference
in rotation strength between P1 and P2 and cluster relaxation time. The MUSE
stellar radial velocities that this analysis is based on are made publicly
available

Synthesis of Novel 2-(Het)arylpyrrolidine Derivatives and Evaluation of Their Anticancer and Anti-Biofilm Activity
A library of novel 2-(het)arylpyrrolidine-1-carboxamides were obtained via a modular approach based on the intramolecular cyclization/Mannich-type reaction of N-(4,4-diethoxybutyl)ureas. Their anti-cancer activities both in vitro and in vivo were tested. The in vitro activity of some compounds towards M-Hela tumor cell lines was twice that of the reference drug tamoxifen, whereas cytotoxicity towards normal Chang liver cell did not exceed the tamoxifen toxicity. In vivo studies showed that the number of surviving animals on day 60 of observation was up to 83% and increased life span (ILS) was up to 447%. Additionally, some pyrrolidine-1-carboxamides possessing a benzofuroxan moiety obtained were found to effectively suppress bacterial biofilm growth. Thus, these compounds are promising candidates for further development both as anti-cancer and anti-bacterial agents
Water-Soluble Salts Based on Benzofuroxan Derivatives—Synthesis and Biological Activity
A series of novel water-soluble salts of benzofuroxans was achieved via aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction of 4,6-dichloro-5-nitrobenzofuroxan with various amines. The salts obtained showed good effectiveness of the pre-sowing treatment of seeds of agricultural crops at concentrations of 20–40 mmol. In some cases, the seed treatment with salts leads not only to improved seed germination, but also to the suppression of microflora growth. Additionally, their anti-cancer activityin vitrohas been researched. The compounds with morpholine fragments or a fragment of N-dimethylpropylamine, demonstrated the highest cytotoxic activity, which is in good correlation with the ability to inhibit the glycolysis process in tumor cells. Two compounds 4e and 4g were selected for further experiments using laboratory animals. It was found that the lethal dose of 50% (LD50) is 22.0 ± 1.33 mg/kg for 4e and 13.75 ± 1.73 mg/kg for 4g, i.e., compound 4e is two times less toxic than 4g, according to the mouse model in vivo. It was shown that the studied compounds exhibit antileukemia activity after a single intraperitoneal injection at doses from 1.25 to 5 mg/kg, as a result of which the average lifespan of animals with a P388 murine leukemia tumor increases from 20 to 28%. Thus, the water-soluble salts of benzofuroxans can be considered as promisingcandidates for further development, both as anti-cancer agents and as stimulants for seed germination and regulators of microflora crop growth
