Causas de la no-transición agroecológica : las experiencias de campesinos y campesinas de la vereda el Llano y las Playas del corregimiento de San Cristóbal, Medellín

RESUMEN: Este estudio tiene por objetivo analizar las causas de la no-transición agroecológica de dos veredas del corregimiento de San Cristóbal, haciendo hincapié en las experiencias de campesinos que intentaron producir desde un marco agroecológico, pero finalmente regresaron a los cultivos con agroquímicos. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se utilizó una metodología de corte cualitativo y un enfoque fenomenológico que permitió hallar tres grandes ejes de resultados. Primero, frente al escenario social de estos casos de no-transición, jugó un papel importante la estructura familiar, el aumento de cultivo de flores y el éxodo rural de las nuevas generaciones. Segundo, respecto a las causas de no-transición, se evidenció que variables como cantidad de trabajo adicional desde modelo agroecológico, los tiempos lentos en la transición, la disminución inicial en la producción sin químicos y la dificultad para cambiar imaginarios de la producción; son aspectos fundamentales. Finalmente, el gran hallazgo que se desprendió de esta investigación es que la comercialización tanto convencional como alternativa, son un elemento de importancia central en la no-transición agroecológica, pues es allí donde se sopesa el precio frente a capacidad de compra de la cosecha, inversión de insumos y mano de obra.ABSTRACT: The objective of this study is to analyze the causes of the agroecological non- transition of two of the following of the village of San Cristóbal, with emphasis on the experiences of the peasants who tried to produce from an agro-ecological framework, but finally returned to the crops with agrochemicals. In order to achieve this objective, a qualitative cut methodology and a phenomenological approach that allowed us to find three different types of major axes of results. Firstly, in view of the social scenario of these cases of non-transition, the family structure, the increase in flower cultivation and the exodus of the population played an important role of the new generations. Second, with regard to the causes of non-transition, the demonstrated that variables such as the amount of additional work from the agroecological model, the slow transition times, the initial decrease in non-chemical production and the difficulty in changing production imaginaries; these are fundamental aspects. Finally, the great discovery that came out of this research is that the both conventional and alternative commercialization, are an important element of the in the agro-ecological non-transition, because it is there where the price is weighed in front of purchasing power of the crop, investment of inputs and labor
