    Binatang dalam Sesenggak Sasak: Kajian Etnolinguistik

    Sesenggaq in the culture of the Sasak tribe are everyday expressions used. In Indonesian language terms sesenggaqis same as proverbs. The proverb itself in the Main Indonesian Dictionary is explained as; groups of words or sentences that have a fixed structure, impose specific intentions and are short, compact expressions or sentences, containing comparisons, parables, advice, principles of life or rules of behavior. This paper reveals about the use of "animals" in sesenggaq Sasak, why is that, what is the meaning and function. This is due to the fact that there are quite a number of sesenggaq Sasak that use animals in their expressions.This study used a qualitative descriptive method with researchers as the main data source, because they are native speakers of the language studied. This research is explored using an ethnolinguistics perspective which  focuses on the relationship between language and the views of its speakers.Keyword: Animals, Sesenggaq, Sasak, Ethnolinguistics

    his study focuses on the shift in the Sasak language that occurred within the Ulil AlBaab Islamic Boarding School NW. The problems studied in this study are (1) How are the forms of Sasak language shift in the Ulil Al-Baab Islamic Boarding School NW Gegek in the educational, social and family domains (2) What are the causes of the Sasak language shift in the Ulil Al-Baab Islamic boarding school Neighborhood NW in the real of education, social and family. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study are to find out and describe the forms of Sasak language shift in the Ulil Al-Baab Islamic Boarding School NW in the educational, family, and social realms and to determine the Sasak language shift and describe the factors causing the Sasak language shift in Ulil Al-Baab Islamic Boarding School Neighborhood NW in the realm of education, family and social. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with research data in the form of words, sentences, and discourses used in conversations at the Ulil Al-Baab Islamic Boarding School NW in the realm of education, family, and social. The data were obtained by listening and speaking techniques. The data were analyzed by means of data reduction, based on the research results obtained 17 conversational data, 6 data in the educational domain, 7 data in the social domain and 4 data in the family domain, with a total of 115 utterances. From 17 conversational data, it can be concluded that there has been a shift in the Sasak language code and a shift in the role and function of the Sasak language in the educational, social and family spheres caused by a) regulations or prohibitions on the use of the Sasak language; b) society's perspective on language and the dominance of a particular language; c) attitude or behavior towards language; d) social level or education level; e) the habit of the pesantren community to do code switching and code mixing; f) lack of pride in their own local language; and g) lack of education about local languages. Keywords: Language Shift, Language Use, Sasak Language, Ulil al-Baab Islamic Boarding School N

    Back to Java: The discourse of Lombok art in Salman Faris’s Kenari Mentaram

    This article is triggered by the emergence of ethnicity aspects in Indonesian literature. The importance of ethnicity in Indonesian literature is because Indonesian literature is assumed to be plural, not singular. That is, the reality of Indonesia in Indonesian literature is not limited to one ethnicity, but various ethnicities. In the perspective of modern Indonesian literature, Indonesian novels are synonymous with Malay, Jakarta, Java and several other cities that have contributed to the development of Indonesian literature. In the perspective of ethnic Indonesian literature, Indonesian novels are identical with ethnicities whose existence is ignored in modern Indonesian literature. In this context, ethnic Indonesian literature is important to explore. This article explores the interesting representation of Lombok in Ethnic Indonesian literature. Lombok serves an ethnic that needs to be analyzed in Indonesian literature, because Lombok is assumed to be part of Java (Marrison, 1999; Meij 2011) and Lombok is hegemonyed in Java (Satrya, 2018). The problem is whether Indonesian literature still represents Lombok as shown by Marrison, Meij, and Satrya in the study of philology and literature. The Indonesian novel of Lombok delineating the issue of Java in interpreting Lombok is the novel Kenari Mentaram (2013) by Salman Faris. This article applies Stuart Hall’s representation theory and model. Based on that theory, the novel Kenari Mentaram is assumed to be a production of meaning regarding Lombok. The analytical method uses the semiotic analysis method and the Stuart Hall discourse model. Lombok is interpreted in the novel Kenari Mentaram in the context of internationalization. In this context, Lombok's art is the only commodity that can be sold. The art of Lombok represented is the art of Lombok which is capable of competing internationally by taking a model from Java. Thus, the internationalization of Lombok can only be done by taking the Javanese Model. In the  internationalization context, the discourse of Lombok art discussed is the multicultural art of Lombok. The Kenari Mentaram novel delineates as part of the discourse of the nationalization of Lombok in the context of Indonesian literature and the internationalization of Lombok in the context of tourism

    PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR SASTRA ANAK BERBASIS LOKAL DAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA

    This study aims to develop local-based children's literature teaching materials and students' creative thinking skills and to describe creative thinking skills through local wisdom-based on children's literature teaching materials. This research is a development research. This study develpos the of children's literature teaching materials based on local wisdom and creative thinking that is adopted from the ADDIE development model which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The study was carried out on a small scale and a large scale by conducting validation first, namely: 1) linguist validation, the score obtained was 26 in the interval (23 X (29) with the category "Good" an average of 74; 2) expert material validation, the score obtained is 51 in the interval X 50. with the category "Very Good" an average of 85; 3) designexpert validation, the score obtained is 65 at interval X (59) with an average of 95. The research instruments used were student learning outcomes tests, student response questionnaires, and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out by converting quantitative data to qualitative data using a scale of five. Analysis of student learning outcomes test data was carried out by determining the percentage of minimum completeness criteria. This research produces children's literature teaching materials based on local wisdom and creative thinking for V (fifth) grade students very suitable category to use.Keywords: Teaching Materials, Children's Literature, Local Wisdom, Critical Thinking

    TEACHER'S RHETHORIC IN LEARNING REVIEWED FROM VARIETY OF SPEECH IN MTs MUALLIMAT NWDI

    Fenomena proses pembelajaran di sekolah menunjukkan bahwa cukup banyak guru yang kurang mampu menggunakan retorika dengan baik dan efektif. Bahkan, guru cenderung tidak menyadari pentingnya retorika. Bahkan, tidak sedikit guru hanya menyampaikan maksudnya tanpa mengetahui apakah peserta didik telah paham atau tidak. Berangkat dari persoalan itu maka tujuan penelitian ini untuk menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat menggunakan pola dan pengorganisasian retorika yang berbeda dalam tuturan dengan peserta didik. Kemampuan guru dalam menghadapi peserta didik juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh tempat dan situasi yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif qualitatif. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada tuturan guru yang dilakukan selama melakukan interaksi dengan siswa di dalam kelas. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang mendasar tentang bagaimana pola tuturan, prinsip tuturan dan teknik pengembangan tuturan guru dengan siswa dalam interaksi belajar mengajar di kelas. metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: observasi, recording (rekaman) dan wawancara. Teori yang digunakan ialah teorinya Mahsun (2005 : 234) yang berbunyi bahwa teknik dari pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tujuan agar teknik satu dengan teknik yang lain dapat saling melengkapi, setidaknya ada tiga jenis teknik pengumpulan data yang bisa dilakukan dalam penelitian sosiolingusitik dan tidak jauh beda dengan penelitian sosial. Hasil analisis diharapkan dapat menunjukkan penataan tuturan dan retorika berkomunikasi dalam pembelajaran di dalam kelas agar tercipta suasana yang harmonis, informatif dan edukatif bagi siswa agar tercapai tujuan pelajaran.Kata Kunci: Retorika, pembelajaran, tutura

    This study aims to determine the level of community English mastery and community participation in the development of tourist villages both in decision making, implementation, benefits and evaluation. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. data collection using in-depth interviews (in-dept-interview), observation and documentation. while the technical data analysis is using the Miles and Huberman technique with data processing stages such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the data and the results of the analysis, information was obtained and it was concluded that the community's mastery of English is still weak, especially in terms of finding information, explaining the location profile, local cultural customs and helping to communicate with the general public, the use of English is still limited to greetings, explaining about objects. travel and exchange of information. The form of community participation is still very less than optimal, only in taking visible benefits, while other aspects such as in decision making, implementation and community evaluation have never been involved. The community is only given a place to open a business/trade shop, transport goods or porters, guides, rent climbing equipment, open parking lots at the tourism location.   Keywords: English, community participation, tourism

    Prestasi Belajar Bahasa Inggris pada Siswa SMA pada Pelaksanaan Sistem Pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013

    This study aims to describe the effect of implementing the 2013 curriculum learning system on high school students' English learning scores, and how much influence the 2013 curriculum learning system implementation has on high school students' English subject scores. This research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Selong, with a total population of 63 students, a sample of 54 students, with an error threshold of 5%. The variables in this study are; (1) the implementation of the 2013 curriculum learning system (X), and (2) the academic achievement variable (Y). The data collection technique used the recording method, the questionnaire survey method, the observation method and the interview method. Using the SPSS program calculation tool for Windows version 16, using linear regression analysis techniques to analyze the collected data. The results of this study indicate that the application of the 2013 course learning system has no effect on the achievement of social studies students in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Selong, the effective contribution of the implementation of the curriculum learning system on the achievement of learning English in class XI social studies is 0.001%, and the coefficient of determination is 0.001%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum learning system has no effect on the academic achievement of the XI IPS class students of SMA Negeri 1 Selong in English lessons in 2019.   Keywords: 2013 Curriculum, Learning Achievement, Learning Syste

    Pelatihan Takmir Untuk Meningkatkan Kapasitas Takmir Dalam Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Jamaah Berbasis Masjid

    Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat adalah Provinsi yang dijuluk sebagai provinsi dengan 1000 (seribu) Masjid. Dimana jumlah penduduk muslim mencapi lebih dari 90 persen. Jumlah rumah ibadah (Masjid dan Muhsolla) juga jumlahnya sangat banyak dan tersebar hingga sampai dengan tingkat dusun. Selain sebagai rumah ibadah, masjid memiliki peran strategis baik dari sisi Pendidikan, social, politik dan juga ekonomi. Selama ini peran dan fungsi masjid hanya digunakan sebagai tempat melaksanakan ibadah sholat berjamaah dan kegiatan ibadah lainnya, belum ada atau sangat jarang sekali difungsikan sebagai sarana pendidian untuk kegiatan-kegiatan social, dan ekonomi. Untuk itu sebagai dari proses revitalisasi peran dan fungsi masjid sebagai media pemberdayaan ekonomi ummat (jamaah) maka perlu berbagai pendekatan salah satunya adalah peningkatan kapasitas takmir masjid sebagai salah satu pengelola masjid terkait dengan bagaimana pemberdayaan ekonomi jamaah berbasis jamaah. Metode dalam kegiatan ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, praktik dan observasi hasil kegiatan, kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam 2 tahapan yakni tahap 1, pelatihan untuk angkatan pertama dan 2, untuk pelatihan angkatan kedua, Hasil Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa program pelatihan ini, sudah berhasil melatih 100 orang takmir masjid yang berasal dari 50 Masjid yang ada di 10 Kabupaten Kota yang ada di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat untuk Angkatan 1 dan 2, dari 20 Angkatan yang di targetkan, Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas takmir dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi jamaah berbasis masji

    Implementasi Pembelajaran Inklusi: Studi Kasus di SDN 1 Kuta

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan pembelajaran model inklusi di SDN 1 Kuta dan dan kasus yang muncul dalam penerapan pembelajaran model inklusi.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SDN 1 Kuta yang dikategorikan berkebutuhan khusus. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 orang siswa yang diketahui sebagai ABK (Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus) melalui metode assesmen ABK. Data tentang anak berkebutuhan khusus diperoleh dari hasil asesmen anak berkebutuhan khusus yang dilakukan oleh guru guru di SDN 1 Kuta, dari orang tua siswa, guru, dan telaah dokumen pendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran model Inklusi Di SDN 1 Kuta. Analisis data menggunakan metode reduksi. Setelah melaksanakan analisis data, diperoleh hasil : 1) Ditemukan anak berkebutuhan khusus di SDN 1 Kuta dan sebagian besar anak dalam kategori Kesulitan Fungsional khusus;  2) dukungan dan perhatian orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus sangat kurang untuk membimbing anaknya belajar di rumah; 3) Guru belum maksimal dalam mengelola pembelajaran model inklusi; dan 4) Sarana pendukung pembelajaran model inklusi masih sangat kurang. Penerapan pembelajaran model inklusi di SDN 1 Kuta sudah dilaksanakan dari tahun 2019 namun masih ada masalah yang harus dibenahi dalam rangka lancarnya pelaksanaan pembelajaran model inklusi Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Inklusi, Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus, SDN 1 Kut

    Teknik Vokal Tembang Sasak Jati Sware

    The purpose of this study was to describe the vocal technique of Tembang Jati Sware in the Bebadosan Terune Art Studio, Lenek Village, East Lombok Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Primary data is the sound of Tembang Jati Sware Pupuh Dang-Dang, while secondary data comes from informants and texts in the form of oral and written. The results showed that when reciting Tembang Jati Sware using chest breathing. Articulation changes occur when the song is read. In Tembang Jati Sware, there are ten sentence breaks, namely on each comma. The body position when the tone is high is upright, the chest is outstretched, and the shoulders are opened, while when the tone is low the body position is normal. The intonation of the song is free, the vibration occurs every last sentence more than 4 beats to 8 beats. The conclusion of this paper is the vocal technique of the Jati Sware Dang-Dang song in Pepaosan which consists of: breathing, articulation, sentence fragments, singing position, intonation, vibration, and improvisation.
