The authors, when observing 22 athletes - volleyball players of different volleyball specialization, assessed the effect of millimeter electromagnetic waves (EMW) on the functional state of the muscular system of the lower extremities. The electromagnetic effect was carried out using the "Complex SP 80" apparatus (frequencies 3900 - 4120 kHz were used). Electrodes were applied to the muscles of the thigh and lower leg, sinusoidal discharges were applied for 10 seconds during the strength training period. The results of observations showed that under the influence of EME, the height of the jump increases by 7%, due to the increase in the energy of the jump and its intensity. The release of the activity of the knee joint is also noted. The authors believe that under the influence of EME, the transmission of regulatory impulses in neuromuscular contact improves, which contributes to the synchronization and strength of contractions of the muscle fiber bundles. Also, under the influence of EMW, blood microcirculation in the muscle improves

The article presents data on the effect of silicon-containing mineral waters (MW) and their artificial analogues with the corresponding content of metasilicic acid on the state of the stomach wall in the modeling of gastritis in white rats. It was established that the use of MW with different content of metasilicic acid has a unidirectional, positive effect on the course of gastritis. MW with greater mineralization, molarity and high content of methacrylic acid completely eliminate inflammation and moderately stimulate reparative processes. In the application of MW with less mineralization, molarity and lower content of metasilicic acid, there were definitive inflammation manifestations, but the manifestations of reparative processes were more pronounced. The same trend was observed with the use of artificial analogues - model solutions on distilled water with the corresponding content of metasilicic acid. It is determined the same restorative in the direction, but much weaker corrective effect than the corresponding MW. The important component of the corrective action of these silicon MW when used in animals with gastritis is determined by the peculiarities of the macro component composition and the proportion of the main macro components - Na +, K +, Mg2 +, Ca2 +, НСО3, Cl-, SO42- and, to a lesser extent, silicon content

Currently, one of the most common problems in childhood are urinary tract infections (UTI). The recurrent UTI is the risk of irreversible damage to the renal parenchyma, replacing it with connective tissue and a further outcome in chronic kidney disease (CKD). The aim of the study: to study the effectiveness of immunovaccination in the complex anti-relapse therapy in children with urinary tract infection. Materials and methods. The study involved 70 patients who were hospitalized at the City Children's Hospital Academician B. Ya. Reznik. In the dynamics of the observations conducted a general analysis of blood and urine, bacteriological examination of urine, if necessary, Rg-urological examination. In the period of acute UTI, all patients received treatment according to the International European Recommendations. For the prevention of UTI, uroseptic (nitrofuran) was used in prophylactic regimens in combination with a lyophilized preparation. Results. In the course of anti-relapse treatment, there was a decrease in the number of recurrences of the disease in children after completing the course in 39 of 70 patients, which amounted to 55.71% and clinical and laboratory remission of UTI was achieved. The number of relapses with a microbial number ≥105 was significantly reduced (from 5.21 to 2.36, p104 CFU also decreased. At the time of the survey in the first control point (after 3 months), a decrease in the microbial number was noted in 37.14%, and in the control after 6 months – in 52.86%. The recurrence rate of UTI for the 6-month period decreased from 3.38±0.48 to 1.67±0.24 times a year. The obtained effect allowed reducing the use of antimicrobial agents in 34.3% of patients. At the same time, the effectiveness of antimicrobial therapy has increased. Conclusion. Thus, the results of our studies showed a high efficacy of vaccine prophylaxis using lyophilized preparations for UTI in children, which can be used to prevent the occurrence of relapses. A reduction in the frequency of relapses and the need to use antibacterial drugs, sanitation of urine and the absence of side effects during vaccination have been established. All human studies were conducted in compliance with the rules of the Helsinki Declaration of the World Medical Association "Ethical principles of medical research with human participation as an object of study". The problem of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is becoming increasingly important, which requires research using models of PTSD in animals, which cause pathogenetically sound development of methods and means of correction of PTSD in humans. Purpose: to establish the effectiveness of the use of magnesium-containing agent in the search for a model of PTSD. Methods: Wistar rats on the background of the development of PTSD models receive intragastric 5% aqueous solution of balneological product with magnesium content – 0.95 g / l The functional state of the central nervous system (CNS) and emotional activity of rats, biochemical and immunological marketing pathological processes were evaluated. Results. Rats have been shown to improve their psycho-emotional state - signs of fear and inhibition disappear. The detoxifying and biliary function of the liver undergoes positive changes. The activity of reamination enzymes (ALT, AST) is restored, the content of total protein and the balance of protein fractions are normalized. The indicators of the leukocyte formula are restored, the content of circulating immune complexes of heterophilic antibodies is normalized. In general, the signs of systemic disorders that occur during the reproduction of the PTSD model disappear. Conclusions. The effectiveness of using a tool with a high magnesium content to adjust the development of the PTSD model has been experimentally shown

The role of the morphofunctional state of endometrium in the realization of reproductive function in in vitro fertilization complicated by ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

    Get PDF
Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) remains the most important, potentially lifethreatening iatrogenic complication of controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). COS alters the expression profiles of more than 150 genes in the endometrium in both animals and humans. The morphological and functional state of the endometrium in women with OHSS is poorly understood. There is limited and controversial information about pregnancy outcomes in patients with OHSS. The purpose of the study was to improve reproductive results in women with infertility during in vitro fertilization complicated by OHSS, based on the development of a methodology for preparing patients for the transfer of vitrified / warmed embryos and minimally invasive assessment of endometrial receptivity before embryo transfer. Material and methods. In the course of experimental modelling of OHSS, the morphofunctional state of the endometrium, myometrium and ovaries was studied in 110 female hybrid mice. Based on the data obtained, a minimally invasive technique for assessing the receptivity of the endometrium before embryo transfer was proposed and a pathogenetic substantiation of the feasibility of individualized preparation of women for the transfer of vitrified / warmed embryos was carried out, an appropriate technique was developed, and its effectiveness was assessed. Results. Negative changes in the morphofunctional state of the endometrium of mice and women in the presence of OHSS have been proven. In women, changes in the expression of implantation molecules (HOXA-10, VEGF, LIF, IL-6, IL-6R, LIFR, gp130), a decrease in inducible NO-synthase activity, impaired endometrial immune reactivity (expression of lymphocyte subpopulations CD45, CD56, CD138) were revealed. The use of individualized preparation of the endometrium for the transfer of vitrified / warmed embryos, which included drugs that restore the state of the ovarian-endometrial system (anti-inflammatory, decongestants, improve microcirculation, normalize endometrial function, endometrial molecular profile and endometrial immunoreactivity) before embryo transfer increased the number of live births in women with transferred OHSS 2.11 times (OR 3.17±0.50; 95% CI 1.20-8.39; p<0.02). Conclusions. It is advisable to transfer embryos during in vitro fertilization in case of OHSS no earlier than four months after vitrification, after preliminary treatment aimed at improving the morphofunctional state of the ovaries and endometrium, using a minimally invasive technique for assessing endometrial receptivity. Preeclampsia (PE) of pregnant women continues to be one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality, and the existing theories about the pathogenetic mechanisms of its development are not absolutely convincing. To take into account the data on the pleiotropic effects of vitamin D (VD) and its effect on reproductive function, we set a purpose to study the relationship between hemodynamic parameters in the uterine arteries and the level of VD in the blood of women at risk of PE developing. Materials and methods. From 2018 to 2021, 54 women with a risk of PE developing and VD insufficiency were under observation. A cross-sectional examination was carried out at the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Blood content of VD (25 (OH) D) was determined on an empty stomach by ELISA on a CobasIntegra 400 Plus analyzer (Roche Diagnostics, Switzerland). Measurement of the pulsation index in the uterine arteries (PI in UA) was done according to the recommendations of the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) on an ultrasound apparatus "VOLUSON 730 EXPERT" (2008); volumetric convex intracavitary (RIC 5-9) and volumetric multifrequency convex probes (RAB 4-8P) were used. Results and discussion. The mean age of the women under examination was 28.4 ± 4.9 y.o.; there were 64.8% of primiparas; 62.9% of women were 25 y. o. and over; 92.6% of pregnant women were overweight or had obesity of various degrees; 72.5% of them had various extragenital pathologies. (25 (OH) D) mean level was 25.8 ± 7.3 ng / ml; the mean PI in UA was 1.98 ± 0.504. There were 19 pregnant women with PI in UA ranging > 50 and <95 percentile (35.19%), in every fifth woman (11 patients or - 20.4% ) resistance in MA exceeded 95 percentile. A significant negative statistical relationship was established between VD level in the blood and PI value in UA (rs = -0.734; P <0.01). Conclusions. Pregnant women with a high risk of PE development has pathologically increased resistance in the uterine vessels already in the first trimester of pregnancy. A strong inverse relationship was found between the level of vitamin D in the blood of high-risk pregnant women and indicator of impedance in the uterine arteries. Timely diagnosis and correction of vitamin D deficiency in women of reproductive age at the stage of preconception training can be a promising direction in the prediction and prevention of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Zinc supply of the population of Ukraine: consequences for health and reproduction

    No full text
Zinc (Zn) is one of the most biologically significant essential metals, performing signal, adaptive, metabolic, structural, protective, restorative and other physiological functions in the human and animal. Zn homeostasis and functional activity are maintained with the participation of a wide range of epigenetic factors (natural and anthropogenic geobiospheric, alimentary, industrial, social and economic), which are formed in specific regional conditions of the population's life. Despite the longterm study of this problem and a large number of publications, many of its aspects remain insufficiently studied, especially in critical epidemiological situations. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to compare the epidemiological indicators of zinc content in biosubstrates of the inhabitants of Ukraine in the period 2008–2019. (before the COVID-19 pandemic) and in the period 2020–2021 (during the pandemic) for use in therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in the future. The zinc content in blood, hair and urine of 1819 people aged 17–67 years (average age 37 years, men 673, women 1146) was determined using the EMAS-200 CCD atomic emission spectrometer in the period from 2008 to 2021. The results were statistically processed by nonparametric methods. The obtained results showed a generally satisfactory supply of Zn for the population of Ukraine at the regional level with a tendency to limit the size of the cohort of the surveyed with significant deviations. At the same time, attention is drawn to the indicators that indicate a decrease in the general physiological level of the body supply of the examined persons with Zn. They can be deformed due to the uncontrolled intake of zinc preparations by a part of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, further research is needed to study the mechanisms of the observed changes and to develop measures to optimize regional norms of Zn.
