Surface Properties of SiCp/Al Composite by Powder-Mixed EDM

    Get PDF
AbstractThis paper uses a kind of moderate volume fraction (40%) of SiC particle reinforced Al matrix composites (SiCp/Al) to research how the surface properties are affected in conventional EDM (EDM) and powder-mixed EDM (PMEDM). By means of environment scanning electron microscope (ESEM) and HIT friction and wear tester, surface micro-topography, elements and wear resistance were analyzed. Experiments and researches indicate that compared with EDM, the surface properties machined by using PMEDM are improved greatly. The PMEDM surface roughness decreases about 31.5%; corrosion resistance is better too; and wear resistance is twice of EDM. Powder-mixed EDM has promising applications in metal matrix composites machining field

Conformal Affine Toda Soliton and Moduli of IIB Superstring on AdS5×S5AdS_5\times S^5

In this paper we interpret the hidden symmetry of the moduli space of IIB superstring on AdS5×S5AdS_{5}\times S^{5} in terms of the chiral embedding in AdS5AdS_{5}, which turns to be the CP3\mathbb{CP}^{3} conformal affine Toda model. We review how the position μ\mu of poles in the Riemann-Hilbert formulation of dressing transformation and how the value of loop parameters μ\mu in the vertex operator of affine algebra determines the moduli space of the soliton solutions, which describes the moduli space of the Green-Schwarz superstring. We show also how this affine SU(4) symmetry affinize the conformal symmetry in the twistor space, and how a soliton string corresponds to a Robinson congruence with twist and dilation spin coefficients μ\mu of twistor.Comment: Final version, Misprints corrected, Note adde

    Nonlocal charges of T-dual strings

We obtain sets of infinite number of conserved nonlocal charges of strings in a flat space and pp-wave backgrounds, and compare them before and after T-duality transformation. In the flat background the set of nonlocal charges is the same before and after the T-duality transformation with interchanging odd and even-order charges. In the IIB pp-wave background an infinite number of nonlocal charges are independent, contrast to that in a flat background only the zero-th and first order charges are independent. In the IIA pp-wave background, which is the T-dualized compactified IIB pp-wave background, the zero-th order charges are included as a part of the set of nonlocal charges in the IIB background. To make this correspondence complete a variable conjugate to the winding number is introduced as a Lagrange multiplier in the IIB action a la Buscher's transformation.Comment: 23 pages, 1 figur

ZnZ_n elliptic Gaudin model with open boundaries

The ZnZ_n elliptic Gaudin model with integrable boundaries specified by generic non-diagonal K-matrices with n+1n+1 free boundary parameters is studied. The commuting families of Gaudin operators are diagonalized by the algebraic Bethe ansatz method. The eigenvalues and the corresponding Bethe ansatz equations are obtained.Comment: 21 pages, Latex fil

Determinant Representations of Correlation Functions for the Supersymmetric t-J Model

Working in the FF-basis provided by the factorizing FF-matrix, the scalar products of Bethe states for the supersymmetric t-J model are represented by determinants. By means of these results, we obtain determinant representations of correlation functions for the model.Comment: Latex File, 41 pages, no figure; V2: minor typos corrected, V3: This version will appear in Commun. Explicit solution of the (quantum) elliptic Calogero-Sutherland model

We derive explicit formulas for the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the elliptic Calogero-Sutherland model as infinite series, to all orders and for arbitrary particle numbers and coupling parameters. The eigenfunctions obtained provide an elliptic deformation of the Jack polynomials. We prove in certain special cases that these series have a finite radius of convergence in the nome qq of the elliptic functions, including the two particle (= Lam\'e) case for non-integer coupling parameters.Comment: v1: 17 pages. The solution is given as series in q but only to low order. v2: 30 pages. Results significantly extended. v3: 35 pages. Paper completely revised: the results of v1 and v2 are extended to all order

Drinfeld twist and symmetric Bethe vectors of the open XYZ chain with non-diagonal boundary terms

With the help of the Drinfeld twist or factorizing F-matrix for the eight-vertex solid-on-solid (SOS) model, we find that in the F-basis provided by the twist the two sets of pseudo-particle creation operators simultaneously take completely symmetric and polarization free form. This allows us to obtain the explicit and completely symmetric expressions of the two sets of Bethe states of the model.Comment: Latex file, 25 page

Measurements of the observed cross sections for e+ee^+e^-\to exclusive light hadrons containing π0π0\pi^0\pi^0 at s=3.773\sqrt s= 3.773, 3.650 and 3.6648 GeV

By analyzing the data sets of 17.3, 6.5 and 1.0 pb1^{-1} taken, respectively, at s=3.773\sqrt s= 3.773, 3.650 and 3.6648 GeV with the BES-II detector at the BEPC collider, we measure the observed cross sections for e+eπ+ππ0π0e^+e^-\to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\pi^0, K+Kπ0π0K^+K^-\pi^0\pi^0, 2(π+ππ0)2(\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0), K+Kπ+ππ0π0K^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\pi^0 and 3(π+π)π0π03(\pi^+\pi^-)\pi^0\pi^0 at the three energy points. Based on these cross sections we set the upper limits on the observed cross sections and the branching fractions for ψ(3770)\psi(3770) decay into these final states at 90% C.L..Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure

    Using 5.8×107J/ψ5.8 \times 10^7 J/\psi events collected in the BESII detector, the radiative decay J/ψγϕϕγK+KKS0KL0J/\psi \to \gamma \phi \phi \to \gamma K^+ K^- K^0_S K^0_L is studied. The ϕϕ\phi\phi invariant mass distribution exhibits a near-threshold enhancement that peaks around 2.24 GeV/c2c^{2}. A partial wave analysis shows that the structure is dominated by a 0+0^{-+} state (η(2225)\eta(2225)) with a mass of 2.240.02+0.030.02+0.032.24^{+0.03}_{-0.02}{}^{+0.03}_{-0.02} GeV/c2c^{2} and a width of 0.19±0.030.04+0.060.19 \pm 0.03^{+0.06}_{-0.04} GeV/c2c^{2}. The product branching fraction is: Br(J/ψγη(2225))Br(η(2225)ϕϕ)=(4.4±0.4±0.8)×104Br(J/\psi \to \gamma \eta(2225))\cdot Br(\eta(2225)\to \phi\phi) = (4.4 \pm 0.4 \pm 0.8)\times 10^{-4}.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figures. corrected proof for journa

    By analyzing about 33 pb1\rm pb^{-1} data sample collected at and around 3.773 GeV with the BES-II detector at the BEPC collider, we directly measure the branching fractions for the neutral and charged DD inclusive semimuonic decays to be BF(D0μ+X)=(6.8±1.5±0.7)BF(D^0 \to \mu^+ X) =(6.8\pm 1.5\pm 0.7)% and BF(D+μ+X)=(17.6±2.7±1.8)BF(D^+ \to \mu^+ X) =(17.6 \pm 2.7 \pm 1.8)%, and determine the ratio of the two branching fractions to be BF(D+μ+X)BF(D0μ+X)=2.59±0.70±0.25\frac{BF(D^+ \to \mu^+ X)}{BF(D^0 \to \mu^+ X)}=2.59\pm 0.70 \pm 0.25
