    Peptone Extraction of Yellow Pike Conger (Congresox Talabon) Processing Waste as a Medium Growth Nutritional Microorganisms

    The research was conducted in March-April 2015 in the Laboratory of Fish Processing Technology, Laboratory of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau, Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, University of Riau and the Laboratory of Chemical Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, University of North Sumatra. This study aims to produce peptone from waste yellow pike conger entrails as bacterial nutrients to support the growth of bacteria in the growth medium. Waste yellow pike conger entrails autolysis hydrolysed by activating proteolytic enzymes (pepsin) in the stomach of fish using 12 N HCl at pH (1,2,3 and 4) the hydrolysis temperature 40oC for 24 hours to determine the optimum hydrolysis conditions. The optimum hydrolysis conditions of waste yellow pike conger entrails occurs at pH 3, the temperature of 40oC hydrolysis with hydrolysis time of 24 hours, the solution was centrifuged extract peptone hydrolysis and then dried with a freeze dryer. The results showed peptone fish entrails have cunang content of 79.06% protein content; total nitrogen 12.66%; free α-amino nitrogen 1.97%; the ratio AN / TN 15.56%; water content of 5.43% and 93.03% solubility in water. Growth of test bacteria Escherichia coli ATCC 8739 and Staphylococcus aereus 6538 showed peptone yellow pike conger entrails can be used as a nutrient growth of bacteria on the growth medium

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui gambaran umum perkembangan produksi dan faktor produksi CPO di Sungai Bengkal Mill, (2) menganalisis faktor-faktor produksi yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi CPO di Sungai Bengkal Mill, dan (3) menganalisis elastisitas produksi dan skala USAha CPO di Sungai Bengkal Mill. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT. Satya Kisma Usaha (SKU) Sungai Bengkal Mill dengan memfokuskan produksi CPO sebagai variabel terikat (dependent variable) kemudian bahan-baku, modal dan mesin sebagai variabel bebas (independent variable). Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Regresi Linier Berganda yang dimodifikasi dari persamaan fungsi Cobb-Douglas. Setelah diuraikan model konseptualnya dengan menggunakan model fungsi Cobb-Douglas kemudian ditransformasi kedalam model linier logaritmatik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Produksi CPO yang dihasilkan Sungai Bengkal Mill dalam kurun waktu 6 tahun terakhir mengalami tren penurunan yang cukup signifikan, penurunan terbesar terjadi pada tahun 2013, dimana penurunan mencapai 3.498.445 kilogram atau sekitar 10,602 persen. (2) Faktor produksi yang berupa bahan-baku, modal dan mesin secara simultan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi CPO, sedangkan secara parsial hanya bahan-baku dan modal yang memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap produksi CPO, sedangkan faktor produksi mesin tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi CPO. (3) Dilihat dari skala USAhanya, USAha produksi CPO Sungai Bengkal Mill bersifat decreasing return to scale artinya proporsi penambahan faktor produksi melebihi proporsi penambahan produksi

    Influence of Addition of Papain Enzyme Differently to Precipitates and Supernatan Protein Hydrolysate Mackerel Fish(euthynnus Affinis)

    This research aims to determine the addition of the good kinds papain enzyme for producing protein hydrolysate mackerel that has a value of precipitates and supernatant highest, the chemical content proximate of mackerel meat, protein hydrolysate, and amino acid total. The method used was experimental and composed as completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment were the used to generate the best proteins hydrolysate mackerel consisting of variety of different enzyme concentrations, namely: 6%, 8%, and 10%. Proteins hydrolysate mackerel were evaluated by precipitates value, supernatant highest, the proximate of mackerel meat and the proximate proteins hydrolysate mackerel level of water, ash, protein, fat and amino acid total. The results showed that the proximate of mackerel meat is water content 62,86 (%gw), ash content 7,05 (%dw), protein content 63,57 (%dw), and fat content 4,03 (%dw). The best kind of the concentration of the papain enzyme 10% because has the contents of presipitate 31,1 gr, the contents of supernatant 48,6 ml, but not significantly different from the value of the concentration of papain enzyme 8% of precipitate 31,4 gr, supernatant 47,6 ml. Thus, considering the use of 10% inadequate papain enzyme it can be replaced by papain enzyme concentration 8%. The result showed that the proximate from concentrate 10% is water content 86,91 (%gw), ash content 22,68 (%dw), protein content 45,30 (%dw), fat content 2,52 (%dw) and has 15 types of total amino acids consisting 8 types of essential amino acids and 7 types of non-essential amino acids, but not significantly different with treatment of enzyme consentration 8%

    Stochastic stability for a model representing the intake manifold pressure of an automotive engine

    The paper presents conditions to assure stochastic stability for a nonlinear model. The proposed model is used to represent the input-output dynamics of the angle of aperture of the throttle valve (input) and the manifold absolute pressure (output) in an automotive spark-ignition engine.     Strengthening Capabilities Regional Disaster Management Agency of Riau Province (BPBD) in tackling the haze problem in 2015. The author identifies himself as the 2015 disaster Riau province experienced tremendous smog. In addition the haze itself from 1997 is always present in the province of Riau. BPBDs itself is a government agency engaged in the disaster area have an important role in disaster management, the reality is not able to cope with this disaster. The problem of this research is How the capabilities of regional disaster management agencies Riau Province in tackling the haze in 2015 ?, and what obstacles or barriers capability of disaster management agencies in the response area of Riau Province haze in 2015 ?. INIA research purposes dalah know the capabilities of local disaster management agency Riau Province in tackling the haze in 2015 and knowing the obstacles or barriers capability of disaster management agencies in the response area of Riau Province in 2015 smog.The research method in this thesis is qualitative research. In collecting the data, researchers use interviewing techniques, observation, and documentation. By using key informants as a source of information and use some of the questions the source of information by looking at the phenomena contained in the data legally.Based on these results it can be concluded that the regional disaster management capability Agency (BPBD) of Riau Province in tackling the haze in 2015 of the four criteria of capability administrations of three criteria is not going well.     Influence of digestate recirculation and recirculation percentage on biogas production from lawn grass via anaerobic digestion

    Abstract: Recirculation of digestate either in the form of liquid or solids has proven to enhance biogas production from energy crops including lawn grass. The explanation to this is that digestate contains suitable bacteria and trace elements (nutrients) needed by methanogens. Influence of digestate recirculation and recirculation percentage in biogas production from lawn grass via anaerobic digestion was studied in laboratory scale digester (1L plastic bottles) at mesophilic condition. Three scenarios were used: digester without recycle digestate (control) (WRD), digesters with recycled liquid digestate (RLD) and digesters with recycled solid digestate (RSD). Liquid recycled digestate was added in percentages variation ranging from 10%-60%, solid recycle digestate was added in percentages variation ranging from 10%-50%. The maximum biogas production with methane content of 55% was obtained in the digester with 60% RLD on the 8th day. During the study of recirculation of solids, highest biogas yield with methane content of 53% was observed in a digester with RSD of 40% on the 5th day. Retention time for both digesters with recycled digestate was reduced and biogas production rate was increased compared to the digester with no recycled digestate
