2. Soma vision – new possibilities in computer treatment planning
The SomaVision workstation is an advanced clinical contouring tool and plan approval for CadPlan. Imaging and graphical presentation are very important in treatment planning process because final conclusion result are analyzed on the base of contoured body structures. Three dimensional reconstructions in ail planes enable to visualize treated region, analyze target relation to surrounding tissues and select the appropriate treatment technique.Since 1999 the SomaVision has been utilized in Center of Oncology-Institute in Gliwice. It is an advanced treatment planning preparation and plan approval workstation for physicians. It offers vide range of ZD and 3D graphical tools to support the definition of anatomical structures during contouring (interactive connection with CadPlan). In our Institute SomaVision workstations are installed in all departments related to Treatment Planning Unit in order to facilitate important but also very time consuming task of organ outlining. The aim of this gaper is to present the benefits of SomaVision programme used in routine Treatment Planning Unit practice. On the base of Demo Patients two treatment planning preparation procedures:-in CadP(an (contouring option) – in SomaVision are presented. Our experience with SomaVision shows that this program facilitates work in Treatment Planning Unit by supporting graphical tools in organ outlining

Evaluation of the Safety of Neauvia Stimulate Injectable Product in Patients with Autoimmune Thyroid Diseases Based on Histopathological Examinations and Retrospective Analysis of Medical Records
The aim of this study was to test the effect of hyaluronic acid cross-linked with polyethylene glycol containing micronized portions of calcium hydroxyapatite (Neauvia Stimulate) on both local tissue and systemic consequences, which are crucial from the perspective of long-term safety, in patients suffering from Hashimoto's disease. This most common autoimmune disease is a frequently mentioned contraindication to the use of fillers based on hyaluronic acid as well as biostimulants based on calcium hydroxyapatite. Broad-spectrum aspects of histopathology were analyzed to identify key features of inflammatory infiltration before the procedure and 5, 21, and 150 days after the procedure. A statistically significant effect on the reduction of the intensity of the inflammatory infiltration in the tissue in relation to the state before the procedure was demonstrated, combined with a reduction in the occurrence of both antigen-recognizing (CD4) and cytotoxic (CD8) T lymphocytes. With complete statistical certainty, it was demonstrated that the treatment with Neauvia Stimulate had no effect on the levels of these antibodies. All this corresponds with the risk analysis that showed no alarming symptoms during the time of observation. The choice of hyaluronic acid fillers cross-linked with polyethylene glycol should be considered justified and safe in the case of patients suffering from Hashimoto's disease

Zinc and nano-ZnO – influence on living organisms
The use of zinc is very common in many industries. The multitude of advantages, and capabilities make use of different forms of penetration of zinc into the environment. Due to its ability to migrate, zinc is also accumulated in living organisms. Zn is an essential trace element but both the deficiency or excess are extremely dangerous for living organisms. Nowadays nanozinc has been increasingly used. Nanozinc is a component of daily used products, like plastics, ceramics, glass, cement, rubber, foods and many others. This leads to spreading nanozinc the environment with the possibility of its penetration into living organisms. This article is a review of the impact of zinc and zinc nanoparticles on a variety of organisms: ranging from microorganisms through plants and animals, to people
Analysis of the possibility of functioning of the production process improvement using methods of LEAN
The article describes the analysis of the production process in a manufacturing enterprise in which the lean manufacturing system was implemented. There are two parallel processes conducted in the company. This raises the two streams of materials, which combine at the last production station. Analysis of the process showed that shorter and theoretically less complicated process causes disruption of the entire flow of materials. The use of simple methods of analysis allowed to identify problems and determine the objectives of production logistics, both overarching and specific. At this stage the dilemma of production planning was revealed
Use of Lean Toolbox for Identification of Waste
Business management according to the Lean Management concept is a constant and comprehensive process of implementing changes in process and organizational structure. Some of the key elements in production management according to the Lean concept include: correcting mistakes (e.g. TQM), eliminating the existing Muda (e.g. Kaizen, 5S) increasing effectiveness of value adding processes (e.g. TPM) and reducing duration of activities that are essential, but do not generate added value (e.g. SMED). The article involves examples of using tools of the Lean toolbox (i.e. VSM, Spaghetti plot) at the stage of identifying losses in a chosen production process
