     Tulisan ini membahas intelektual muslim liberal melihat pada pernikahan agama lain, dengan alasan bahwa muslim liberal penilaian pada legalitas pernikahan agama antar bertentangan dengan pernyataan dari hukum negara yang ada pada pernikahan seperti UU RI No 1 Tahun 1974, PP RI Nomor 9 Tahun 1975, dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam. Selanjutnya, dengan menggunakan penalaran hukum Islam, tulisan ini menekankan bahwa kerugian (mudharat) pernikahan antar-agama lebih berat dari pada keuntungan (maslahah) dan karena itu pendapat intelektual muslim liberal kurang relevan dengan konsep Islam. &nbsp

    Behavior of thin-walled tubes with combined cross-sectional geometries under oblique loading

    Hollow tubes are the most important part of any structure because of their load-bearing capacity, lightweight and inexpensive manufacturing cost. One of the methods for improving the performance under quasi-static loading is to vary the cross-sectional shapes. In the real case, structures are seldom subjected to pure axial or pure bending rather they are subjected to a combination of two load cases i.e. oblique loading. In this paper, the circular cross-section was combined with four different polygonal cross-sections namely tetragon, hexagon, octagon and decagon and a total of 13 geometries were obtained. The buckling behavior of each tube was investigated numerically at various angles of inclination. Each tube was modeled in SOLIDWORKS and then was analyzed in ANSYS. Linear buckling code was used for finding the critical load at various angles ranging from 0° to 14°. The overall result was then compared and it was found that the proposed geometry can be a good alternative over conventional circular tubes in terms of load-bearing capacity at angular load

    Hollow tubes are the most important or crucial parts of the rapidly growing automobile and construction industry. The tube is subjected to pure buckling. In theanalysis, one end is fixed and the force is applied to theother end and by application of different angles of inclinations ranging from 0Ëš to 20Ëš with different thicknessof the range of 0.5 to 2.0. Linear buckling code was used forfinding the critical buckling load. This research paper is about the effects of buckling under oblique loading. It is the process in which the tube is subjected to compressive oblique loading and the tube fails by the first increase in crossectional area and then bulging on any of the sides but in the case, oblique loading in hollow tube shell bulges internally or inside the perimeter of the tube

    Impact of antimicrobial stewardship programme on hospitalized patients at the intensive care unit: a prospective audit and feedback study

    AIMS: Inappropriate use of antibiotics is one of the most important factors contributing to the emergence of drug resistant pathogens. The purpose of this study was to measure the clinical impact of antimicrobial stewardship programme (ASP) interventions on hospitalized patients at the Intensive care unit at Palestinian Medical Complex. METHODS: A prospective audit with intervention and feedback by ASP team within 48-72 h of antibiotic administration began in September 2015. Four months of pre-ASP data were compared with 4 months of post-ASP data. Data collected included clinical and demographic data; use of antimicrobials measured by defined daily doses, duration of therapy, length of stay, readmission and all-cause mortality. RESULTS: Overall, 176 interventions were made the ASP team with an average acceptance rate of 78.4%. The most accepted interventions were dose optimization (87.0%) followed by de-escalation based on culture results with an acceptance rate of 84.4%. ASP interventions significantly reduces antimicrobial use by 24.3% (87.3 defined daily doses/100 beds vs. 66.1 defined daily doses/100 beds P < 0.001). The median (interquartile range) of length of stay was significantly reduced post ASP [11 (3-21) vs. 7 (4-19) days; P < 0.01]. Also, the median (interquartile range) of duration of therapy was significantly reduced post-ASP [8 (5-12) days vs. 5 (3-9); P = 0.01]. There was no significant difference in overall 30-day mortality or readmission between the pre-ASP and post-ASP groups (26.9% vs. 23.9%; P = 0.1) and (26.1% vs. 24.6%; P = 0.54) respectively. CONCLUSIONS: Our prospective audit and feedback programme was associated with positive impact on antimicrobial use, duration of therapy and length of stay

    Characterising food insecurity in pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in Uganda using a consumption coping strategy index

    We explore the utility of a consumption coping strategy index (CSI) in characterising and assessing the factors influencing household food insecurity. We assessed 53 pastoral and 197 agro-pastoral households in Nakasongola and Nakaseke districts of Uganda, examining the use of 27 consumption coping strategies over a recall time of two 30-day periods, one at the start of a dry season in 2012 and one at the start of a rainy season in 2013. Four categorical food insecurity status measures were established - food secure (CSI 0 to 5) and mildly (CSI 6 to 20), moderately (CSI 21 to 42) and extremely (CSI >42) food insecure. For the dry season, the mean CSI was 29.4 ± 2.59 and 33.6 % of households were food secure, while for the rains, mean CSI was 33.1 ± 2.30 and 14.0 % of households were food secure. The combination of livelihood system, land holdings, number of livestock owned and belonging to a social network explained 9.4 % to 10 % of the variance in household food insecurity for agro-pastoralists, but variance for pastoralists was not explained by these factors. While the only highly significant factor associated with increasing household food insecurity in the dry season was low landholdings, in the rainy season, it was pastoral livelihood, low livestock holdings for agro-pastoralists and non-involvement in social networks. While our model identified a number of factors important in describing household food insecurity, it explained only about 10 % of the variance

    Bangladesh is considered to be one of the countries highly vulnerable to climate change. As part of the ADB funded project, “Vulnerability to Climate Change, Adaptation Strategies and Layers of Resilience”, analysis of climate change vulnerability using two popular methods was carried out for Bangladesh. A set of indicators defining the three components of vulnerability, ie, exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity were selected considering their functional relationship and their contribution to the vulnerability. The aim of the exercise is to characterize different regions and ecological zones (EZ) of the country in terms of vulnerability related to climate change. From the analysis, we conclude that the majority of the regions are very highly vulnerable to climate change. These regions should receive high priority for channelizing resources such as technologies, finances and developmental programs to enhance their ability to cope with the impacts. Appropriate action should be planned and carried out in advance so as to foresee the anticipated impacts of climate change and the expected vulnerability of the regions and the population
