Annotation based parser generator
The paper presents innovative parser construction method and parser generator prototype which generates a computer language parser directly from a set of annotated classes in contrast to standard parser generators which specify concrete syntax of a computer language using BNF notation. A language with textual concrete syntax is defined upon the abstract syntax definition extended with annotations in the presented approach. Annotations define instances of concrete syntax patterns in a language. Abstract syntax of a language is inevitable input of the parser generator as well as language's concrete syntax pattern definitions. The process of parser implementation is presented on the concrete computer language - the Simple Arithmetic Language. The paper summarizes results of the studies of implemented parser generator and describes its role in the university courses
Evaluation of the impact energy of the samples produced by the additive manufacturing technology
The article covered the evaluation of the impact energy, notch toughness and morphology of the fracture surfaces of the specimens manufactured by the Direct Metal Laser Sintering Technology. Specimens without heat treatment with no notch were not broken through in course of testing, therefore there was no fracture surface present. The heat treatment resulted in the increase in hardness values. The values of impact energy after the heat treatment was approximately 60 % lower. Ductile intergranular fracture with more or less segmented dimple morphology appeared in every specimen. At places where the internal plastic bond was resisting the test, cracks remaining after particles broke away from the surface can be seen as craters
Properties of Injection Molded Nanocomposites and Blends Based on PLA, PHBV and L-CNC / Martin Borůvka...[et al.]
The practical approach to produce sustainable, biobased, biodegradable and ecofriendly blends and nanocomposites with tailored material properties is reported in this paper. The aim of study is to investigate the effect of blending and addition of heterogeneous nucleating agents based on lignin-coated cellulose nanocrystals (L-CNCs) on the properties of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) blends and nanocomposites. The crystallization behaviour, morphology, impact strength and heat deflection temperature of neat PLA, blends and nanocomposites were investigated. Masterbatches were prepared by melt mixing using an internal mixer and further then were standard tensile test bars injection molded. The results showed that both property modifiers (PHBV and L-CNC) had significant influence on PLA material properties. Crystallinity of resulted samples has been improved. Morphology examinations showed PHBV well dispersed in PLA phase in form of droplet like particles in nanometre range. An increase of impact strength and heat deflection temperature (HDT) has been observed
Solving depressions formed during production of plastic molding
This article deals with improvement of design properties of molded plastic parts. It can be achieved by modifying construction of metal injection mold and optimization of parameters in injection process. The subject of our examination was depressions formed on molded plastic parts which are inacceptable in the process of approval. The problem which has arisen was solved in two phases. The first phase consisted in alteration of injection mold design – enlargement of injection molding gate. In the second phase, we have changed the location of injection molding gate. After performing constructional modifications, new molded plastic parts were manufactured and assessed

Whole-genome optical mapping of bone-marrow myeloma cells reveals association of extramedullary multiple myeloma with chromosome 1 abnormalities
Extramedullary disease (EMM) represents a rare, aggressive and mostly resistant phenotype of multiple myeloma (MM). EMM is frequently associated with high-risk cytogenetics, but their complex genomic architecture is largely unexplored. We used whole-genome optical mapping (Saphyr, Bionano Genomics) to analyse the genomic architecture of CD138+ cells isolated from bone-marrow aspirates from an unselected cohort of newly diagnosed patients with EMM (n=4) and intramedullary MM (n=7). Large intrachromosomal rearrangements (>5 Mbp) within chromosome 1 were detected in all EMM samples. These rearrangements, predominantly deletions with/without inversions, encompassed hundreds of genes and led to changes in the gene copy number on large regions of chromosome 1. Compared with intramedullary MM, EMM was characterised by more deletions (size range of 500 bp-50 kbp) and fewer interchromosomal translocations, and two EMM samples had copy number loss in the 17p13 region. Widespread genomic heterogeneity and novel aberrations in the high-risk IGH/IGK/IGL, 8q24 and 13q14 regions were detected in individual patients but were not specific to EMM/MM. Our pilot study revealed an association of chromosome 1 abnormalities in bone marrow myeloma cells with extramedullary progression. Optical mapping showed the potential for refining the complex genomic architecture in MM and its phenotypes.Web of Science111art. no. 1467
Generating parallel applications from models based on Petri nets
Parallel and distributed systems play an
important role in the development of information
technologies and their application. These systems are
very useful but their development and usage is inherently
more difficult. A solution can be a tool focused on
systematic, well-arranged design, analysis and
verifications these systems. This article briefly describes
the tool Kaira intended for modelling, simulation and
generation of parallel applications. A developer is able to
model parallel programs and different aspects of
communication using Kaira. Models are based on the
variant of Coloured Petri nets. The important feature of
our tool is automatic generation of standalone parallel
applications from models. The final application can be
generated with different parallel back-ends, currently it
can be threads or MPI
