The orbit structure of Dynkin curves

Let G be a simple algebraic group over an algebraically closed field k; assume that Char k is zero or good for G. Let \cB be the variety of Borel subgroups of G and let e in Lie G be nilpotent. There is a natural action of the centralizer C_G(e) of e in G on the Springer fibre \cB_e = {B' in \cB | e in Lie B'} associated to e. In this paper we consider the case, where e lies in the subregular nilpotent orbit; in this case \cB_e is a Dynkin curve. We give a complete description of the C_G(e)-orbits in \cB_e. In particular, we classify the irreducible components of \cB_e on which C_G(e) acts with finitely many orbits. In an application we obtain a classification of all subregular orbital varieties admitting a finite number of B-orbits for B a fixed Borel subgroup of G.Comment: 12 pages, to appear in Math

GMDS concept for the further development of the structured quality report according to § 137 SGB V from 2007

In 2005 German hospitals for the first time published legally specified quality reports. A group of practitioners from the German health service analysed assessments of this public information tool and summarized demands on a further development of the report in a concept. The authors present suggestions for the report design to improve information for patients on the individually relevant hospital achievements and outcome quality. Models of electronical data delivery are also discussed. This could permit to build up databases in order to reply inquiries from patients seeking help for a concrete problem. Thus the improved quality report could become an important decision support for patients.Im Jahr 2005 veröffentlichten deutsche Krankenhäuser erstmals den gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Qualitätsbericht. Eine Gruppe von Praktikern aus dem Gesundheitswesen hat Bewertungen dieses Instrumentes der öffentlichen Information analysiert und Forderungen an eine Weiterentwicklung des Berichtes in einem Konzept zusammengefasst. Sie macht Vorschläge zur Berichtsgestaltung mit dem Ziel, Patienten noch besser über die für ihn wichtigen Leistungen der berichtenden Krankenhäuser und die Qualität der Ergebnisse zu informieren. Es werden im Konzept auch Möglichkeiten zur Lieferung elektronischer Daten beleuchtet. Diese könnten erlauben, Datenbanken für die Beantwortung von Anfragen Hilfe suchender Patienten aufzubauen, die für ein konkretes Problem ein geeignetes Krankenhaus suchen. Ein so weiter entwickelter Qualitätsbericht könnte eine bedeutende Entscheidungshilfe für Patienten werden
