Állati rotavírusok összehasonlító genomvizsgálata = Comparative genomics of animal rotaviruses

A PD76364 sz. OTKA pályázatunk célja a különböző gazdafajok rotavírus fertőzéseinek epidemiológiájával kapcsolatos adatgyűjtés és az azonosított törzsek genomjának meghatározása volt. A támogatási időszak alatt 2000-nél több állati bélsármintát szűrtünk meg rotavírusra, közel 90 rotavírus törzs részleges vagy teljes genomját határoztuk meg és elemeztük a kapott adatokat az egyes törzsek rokonsági kapcsolatainak megértése érdekében. Tizenegy olyan gazdafajnál igazoltunk rotavírus fertőzést, amelynél korábban senki sem és leírtunk 17 új genotípust. Módszertani fejlesztésként hozzákezdtünk egy, a rotavírus genomok meghatározásában használható költséghatékony újgenerációs szekvenálási módszer adaptálásához. | The objectives of our OTKA research grant (PD76364) have been the collection of epidemiologic information about rotavirus infections in various host species and the determination of genome sequence of selected strains. During the research period over 2000 fecal specimens collected from a variety of animal species were screened for rotaviruses, and the partial or full-length genomes were determined and analyzed for nearly 90 strains to better understand the genetic relationship among different animal and human strains. Also, 11 new host species and 17 novel genotypes of rotaviruses were described. Moreover, the adaptation of a next generation sequencing method was started to make sequencing of full-length rotavirus genomes more cost effective

A hipnózis evolúciós pszichológiai szemléletű vizsgálata = Study of hypnosis from the perspective of evolutionary psychology

Felnőtt egy- és kétpetéjű ikerpárok, testvérpárok és szülő-gyerek párok vizsgálatával a genetikai tényezők közepes hatását (h2=0,50) mutattuk ki a hipnábilitásra. Az élmények interakciós mutatói (ABS, DIH) egypetéjű ikreknél magasabbnak és egymáshoz hasonlóbbnak bizonyultak, mint másoknál. Interakciós elemzésünk megerősítette a "kölcsönös" és "kiegyenlítő" interakciós munkamódokra vonatkozó korábbi eredményeinket, s emellett egy "független" hipnózis-stílust is azonosítottunk. A hipnotizőr hangjának számítógépes akusztikai elemzése és szubjektív megítélése, valamint a beszédsebesség vizsgálata alapján komplex összefüggéseket tártunk fel a hipnotizőrök prozódiai változásai és a hipnózis élményének alakulása között. Az interakciós szinkronitás egészleges vizsgálatával kapcsolatban megállapítottuk, hogy a holisztikus módszer a relaxációs hipnózis-helyzetben nem eléggé megbízható és érvényes. Az egészleges megítélés stabilitása alacsonynak bizonyult, és nem az egyéni ritmusok összehangolódását, hanem valamilyen általános kapcsolati pozitivitást tükrözött. Alkalmasnak bizonyult azonban a "valós" és "szimulátor" személyek elkülönítésére. Kimutattuk, hogy LEHETSÉGES ellenállni a hipnotikus szuggesztióknak. Bár az erősen hipnábilisok még ellenállásra felszólító instrukció után is több szuggesztiót hajtottak végre, mint a gyengén fogékonyak, az ellenállás sikeressége inkább a motiváltsággal, a mentális erőfeszítéssel és aktivitással, valamint kapcsolati tényezőkkel függött össze. | A moderate effect of genetic factors on hypnotic susceptibily (h2=.50) was demonstrated by studying adult pairs of mono- and dizygotic twins, sibling pairs, and parent-child pairs. Interactional measures of subjective experiences (AIM, DIH) proved to be higher and more similar in monozygotic twins than in other relative-pairs. The present interactional analysis has confirmed our previous findings on "parallel" and "complementary" interactional styles, while an additional, "independent" style was also identified. Computer acoustic analysis and subjective judgements of the hypnotists' voice, and the study of their speech tempo revealed a complex relationship between the prosodic changes of the hypnotists and the experiences of the participants of hypnosis. The study of interactional synchrony has shown that the holistic method of rating is neither sufficiently reliable nor valid in relaxational type of hypnosis. Holistic judgement proved to be very low in stability, and reflected a general relational positivity rather than the harmonization of individual rhythms. It proved to be suited, however, to differnetiate "real" and "simulator" subjects. We have demonstrated that it is possible to resist hypnotic suggestions. Althoguh high hypnotizables performed more suggestions even after instructions to resist than lows, the success of resitance was more related to motivation, mental effort and activity, and relational factors than to hypnotizability

Posztdoktori kutatásom feladata az MTA Judaisztikai Kutatóközpont hosszú távú kutatási programjának részeként a Magyarország és a magyarországi zsidóság történetére vonatkozó 18. századi nyomtatott héber források feltárása, valamint feldolgozásuk megkezdése volt. A munkát egy izraeli kutatóval, Dr. Shlomo Spitzerrel (Bar-Ilan University, Izrael) együttműködésben végeztem. Munkám első lépése a források jegyzékének összeállítása, vagyis a történeti, művelődéstörténeti szempontból releváns héber szerzők, szövegek gyűjtése, válogatása volt. A feltárt forrásanyag feldolgozását és közreadását nagyobb szerzői, kronologikus illetve tematikai egységekben gondolkodva kezdtem el. Az első két év munkája eredményeként elkészült az Ezekiel Landau prágai rabbinak magyarországi rabbikhoz írt, magyarországi eseteket tárgyaló responsumait feldolgozó kötet, kiadását most készítjük elő: Ezekiel Landau döntvényei. Magyarországra vonatkozó adatok (Héber kútforrások Magyarország és a magyarországi zsidóság történetéhez - 18. század, 1). Ennek a kutatási egységnek az eredményeit több előadásban, illetve publikációban ismertettem. (Lásd a részletes beszámolót.) Több forrás feldolgozása, illetve a 18. századi rabbi-archontológia összeállítása az ösztöndíjas időszak alatt csak részben készült el, ezeket a feladatokat a Judaisztikai Kutatóközpont munkatársaként lesz lehetőségem folytatni. | My postdoctoral research was part of a long-term project of the Center of Jewish Studies at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, study and publication of Hebrew sources relating to the history of Hungary and the Hungarian Jewry in the 18th century. I worked together with an Israeli professor, Dr. Shlomo Spitzer (Bar-Ilan University, Israel). The first phase of my work was creating a catalogue of the sources, that is collecting and selecting Hebrew texts that have historical relevancy. I started to study and translate the sources, and to prepare their critical edition according to authors or chronological and thematic units. In the first two years I studied the responsa of Ezekiel Landau the chief-rabbi of Prague with Hungarian rabbis of that period, this material (with introduction, bibliography and remarks) constitutes our first volume: Responsa of Ezekiel Landau relating to Hungary (Hebrew sources relating to the history of Hungary and the Hungarian Jewry - 18th c., 1). This volume is going to be published in 2007

Sustainable Human Resource Management

The concept of sustainability is important for companies both in the case of SMEs and worldwide multinational companies. Some key factors to help a company achieve its sustainability objectives are based on human resource management. Sustainable human resource management is a typical cross-functional task that becomes increasingly important at the strategic level of a company. Industry 4.0 technologies, Internet of Things, and competitive demands, as signs of globalization, have led to significant changes across the organizational structures and human resource strategies of companies. The increasing importance of sophisticated human resource strategies in the life of companies and the intention to find optimal design and operation strategies for sustainable human resource management were a motivation for launching this book. This book offers a selection of papers which explain the impact of smart human resource management on economy. Authors from 14 countries published working examples and case studies resulting from their research in this field. The aim of this book is to help students at the level of BSc, MSc, and PhD level, as well as managers and researchers, to understand and appreciate the concept, design, and implementation of sustainable human resource management solutions

Recycling and Networking

In recent years, the notion that for environmental and legislative reasons improvements The national environmental policies and practice, including recycling strategies, are desirable and in many cases might be economically beneficial has been gaining ground. Although according to recent surveys the state of the environment in Hungary is in line with average values of the European Union, the main challenge for the country is to achieve sustainability in economic, environmental and technological terms. With a view to accession to the European Union, a harmonisation strategy must be worked out and implemented. This harmonisation strategy includes not only legislative aspects, but also social, technological, financial and logistic considerations.Because of the high logistic costs of achieving closed loop recycling systems, the author focuses on logistic aspects and tasks of the improvement phases and concentrates on the possibilities of networking and co-operation. The paper describes some possible alternative solutions for co-operative recycling processes, to improve the following logistic parameters: delivery times, accuracy of supply, running times, utilization of capacities, stock quantities, flexibility, transparency of the system, high forwarding capability, quality of product. The logistic aspects of co-operation will be analysed from the viewpoint of a closed loop economy
