Previous issue date: 2017-12-20Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPESThis research aims to investigate the institute of allowed risk in the Criminal Law area, questioning its importance in the crime theory. It seeks to verify whether the allowed risk is a necessary category for Criminal Law or if there are other categories that have the same function. In addition, it is questioned if it can be considered as an autonomous category by the Criminal Law, and what are the implications of its admission or non admission. Finally, it is fundamentally intended to verify which parameters should be considered by the judge at the time of the analysis of the concrete case, in order to determine if the risk created by the agent was an allowed risk, or whether it should be recognized as prohibited by Criminal Law. It seeks, therefore, to question which should be the criterion that should be taken into account to determine when a risk should be prohibited by criminal lawA presente pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar o instituto do risco permitido no ?mbito do Direito Penal, questionando sua import?ncia na teoria do delito.

Previous issue date: 2012-03-28Introduction: This in vitro study evaluated the capacity of centralization of the preparation, as well as the wear, distortion and fracture of three rotary nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) systems Wizard CD Plus (WP), Wizard Navigator (WN) and BioRace(BR). Methodology: Were used 90 mesiobuccal roots (MV) of first upper molars (MS). The overlap of tomographic images before and after instrumentation was used to evaluate the transport of the preparation, at 2.0, 4.0, 6.0 and 8.0 mm from the apex. The instruments were observed by SEM before and after the third use, at its tip and at 5 mm of it. The data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis, complemented by Tukey test (P 0.05). There was no fracture and distortion at 5mm from the tip of the instruments. The group BR exhibited more distortion at the tip than the group WP (P = 0.011). There was more wear of the instrument in the group WP than in the BR (P 0.05).
Sacrococcygeal chordomas in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex show somatic loss of TSC1 or TSC2
Chordomas are rare sacrococcygeal/sacral, sphenooccipital/clivus, and spinal tumors whose molecular etiology remains relatively understudied. As several anecdotal reports had described chordomas in individuals with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), a multisystem hamartoma syndrome, we hypothesized that the genes that cause TSC may have an etiological role in chordomas. In two cases of sacrococcygeal chordomas in individuals with TSC, one with a germ-line TSC2 mutation and the other with a germ-line TSC1 mutation, we confirmed somatic inactivation of the corresponding wild-type allele by loss of heterozygosity analysis and immunohistochemistry. These data provide the first evidence of a pathogenic role by TSC genes in sacrococcygeal chordomas
