Shopping can sometimes be time conswning; due to the wandering around the shopping mall looking for specific items and with the possibility of the stores not selling it or maybe just ran out of stocks. The main highlight of InterShop System is that the user can search the product that they want to purchase and getting detailed information about the item such as what shops are selling it, the price and more details about the item. The system also will provide user with interactive mall layout, where the user can easily navigate to find the facilities or shops location within the mall. On the management side, Intershop System will enable the mall owner to manage the layout of the mall, updating list of stores and updating the mall news to be read by the customers who are using the system. The store owners meanwhile will have the benefits of easily managing their stores information and updating the product lists that the stores are offering. The system was built using the iterative and incremental methodology and the testing period with the users produced good result as majority of the testers believed that the system helps in shopping more efficiently

NITRIDING OF 2205 DUPLEX STAINLESS STEELS TO ENHANCE CORROSION RESISTANCE

    Get PDF
Nitriding process had become favorable surface heat treatment in order to improve the corrosion resistance by case hardening process on the material. The case hardening is produced by diffusion of nitrogen and precipitation of the nitride layer on the surface of material. Due to high alloying element, duplex stainless steel shows complex precipitation behavior by forming different intermetallic phase which reduce corrosion resistance in harsh environment such as high temperature in seawater, carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulphide environment. Thus, high temperature gas nitriding process is introduced. In this project, the high temperature gas nitriding process was conducted on 2205 duplex stainless steel at 1200°C for 8 hours and subjected to re-heating at temperature of 700°C to prevent the effect of sensitization. The corrosion resistance is analyzed by immersion test using weight loss method. The samples are subjected to metallographic process to investigate the effect of microstructure after nitriding process using optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The uniformity of nitrogen diffusion is identified by using energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) on SEM

    Get PDF
Map application is longer a new thing among the smartphones' users. Current map application usually focuses on an outdoor environment. In this project, an indoor interactive map application is built using the available userd part in the smartphone such as the accelerometer sensor, gyroscope sensor, and the magnetic sensor. These sensors are working together with the magnetic field around the building to detect the current location of user in order to guide them. As an indoor map application, this interactive map is designed to guide new students and visitors of FCS1T in the faculty as they are still not familiar with the building. The processes of developing this project (Interactive Map for FCSIT) are following the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. Each process is divided into smaller tasks according to the RAD methodology, Thus, it is easier to develop, implement, and test the project when it is done part by part. This map application is designed to help and guide user in FCSIT's building. The testing and evaluation clone before this application is deployed shows that throughout some limitations, this application is able to provide basic information to users. The conclusion that can he drawn is indoor map applications can benefits users as much as an outdoor map applications serve, The limitations can also be improved later through more researches and studies

Master Fryer is a company that focuses our skills and knowledge on burger patty frying in Malaysia. Burger making is a very annoying and time-consuming task. Usually, burger is fried on regular gas stove. Our company would like to solve this problem to ease the life of the people. Thus, we have created and developed a very reliable and innovative product specifically to fry burger patty. From the concept of sandwich toaster, we have made a very special innovation and the burger patty fryer is created. Our product uses electricity and heating element instead of regular gas stove just like a sandwich toaster. It has a lid and the burger patty will fry all the way without troubling the user to flip the burger patty

Electrical potential and electrical field distribution of square electrical capacitance tomography

    Get PDF
Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) system helps user to understand the flow distribution inside the close pipe by detecting the variation of permittivity distribution in the inspection area. Generally, most reported ECT systems are implemented to circular shape pipe only. However, square shape pipes are sometimes found in power industry and chemical reactor, therefore this paper is studying the electrical distribution of ECT system within a square pipe. ECT is able to provide fast response, low cost and non-radiation system but similar to all other electrical tomography system, ECT suffers from soft-field effect. This paper proposes segmentation excitation to overcome this problem. Segmentation excitation applies when more than one electrode excited at one time. This paper focuses Protocol 2 or 2-electrode excitation for 8-electrode square ECT system. The simulation was done by using COMSOL Multiphysics. The images of the excitations are presented in this paper. The electrical potential is recorded at the center of the system to analyses the strength of the electrical potential. In addition for square ECT system, the corner configuration provides 3.40% higher electrical potential compared to side excitation configuration

The development of car seat alert system through telegram application

    Get PDF
This paper discusses the development of a car seat alert system through telegram application to design and develop a car seat alert system for babies that have been left in vehicles and get heatstroke deaths. This type of accident is called vehicular heatstroke and it is very dangerous to a baby because their body overheats 3-5 times faster than an adult body. Plus, the inside of a vehicle is heating up very quickly and it very concerns parents to bring their child to travel using car. Nowadays, heatstroke deaths of children in vehicles are quite encouraging and every year the number of cases is increasing. In an overwhelming majority of child vehicular heatstroke deaths, it was loving, responsible parents that unknowingly left the child. This project was created to inform and alert the parents out there when they might forget their child is left under any circumstances. To make sure this project system is more practical, NodeMCU is used as a microcontroller to control all the input and output devices in this system. As to alert parents when this carelessness is happening the LED and Buzzer are provided in this system. Apart from that, LCD is used to display the presence of the child at the seat and temperature value inside. GPS module is used to give the location to inform the driver that the child was been left in the car. As to ensure the goals stated will be achieved, significant research has been made thoroughly that will act as references throughout these studies for this projec

Terrestrial laser scanners datum transformation: insignificant analysis of scale factor

    Get PDF
Due to the measurement mechanism employed by terrestrial laser scanners (TLSs), the pre-processing procedure has become crucial procedure to orient all acquired data into global or ground coordinate system. Rather than utilising all seven-transformation parameters, most of TLS practitioners have neglected the scale factor. Taking into consideration the uncertainties in deriving range data, disregarding the scale factor in datum transformation computation could jeopardise the quality of pre-processed results. To rigorously examine this argument, two experiments have been designed by considering the element of multi distances and multi sensors. Utilising phase (i.e. Faro Focus 3D) and pulse-based (i.e. Leica ScanStation C10) scanners, both experiments were carried out with computation of seven (7) transformation parameters and scale factors were extracted for the assessment. With the aid of statistical analysis, the computed scale factors were mathematically differentiate to the ideal value (i.e. 1.000 or no scale effect). Under 95% confidence level, the null hypotheses for both experiments have indicate an agreement that scale factor can be neglected in datum transformation process for both types of terrestrial laser scanners
