Leveraging Bike-Share Systems to Improve Guest Experiences and Attract Tourists
Bike-share systems have become a popular method for traveling within a city, and they are rapidly growing in many cities around the world, including New York, Paris, and Shanghai. This rapid growth allows tourists to explore a city on their own, using a communal bike, giving them an essential new way to discover the city. As a result, access to a bike-share system is becoming a big part of a tourist’s experience of a city and an essential hotel amenity. In this paper, we provide (1) guidance to hotels on the choice between offering guests an in-house bike-share system and supporting their use of a city-run bike-share system, and (2) prescriptions for cities on how to best design and run tourist-friendly bike-share systems
Unveiling the Druggable Landscape of Bacterial Peptidyl tRNA Hydrolase: Insights into Structure, Function, and Therapeutic Potential
Bacterial peptidyl tRNA hydrolase (Pth) or Pth1 emerges as a pivotal enzyme involved in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis by catalyzing the release of peptidyl moieties from peptidyl-tRNA molecules and the maintenance of a free pool of specific tRNAs. This enzyme is vital for bacterial cells and an emerging drug target for various bacterial infections. Understanding the enzymatic mechanisms and structural intricacies of bacterial Pth is pivotal in designing novel therapeutics to combat antibiotic resistance. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the multifaceted roles of Pth in bacterial physiology, shedding light on its significance as a potential drug target. This article delves into the diverse functions of Pth, encompassing its involvement in ribosome rescue, the maintenance of a free tRNA pool in bacterial systems, the regulation of translation fidelity, and stress response pathways within bacterial systems. Moreover, it also explores the druggability of bacterial Pth, emphasizing its promise as a target for antibacterial agents and highlighting the challenges associated with developing specific inhibitors against this enzyme. Structural elucidation represents a cornerstone in unraveling the catalytic mechanisms and substrate recognition of Pth. This review encapsulates the current structural insights of Pth garnered through various biophysical techniques, such as X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy, providing a detailed understanding of the enzyme’s architecture and conformational dynamics. Additionally, biophysical aspects, including its interaction with ligands, inhibitors, and substrates, are discussed, elucidating the molecular basis of bacterial Pth’s function and its potential use in drug design strategies. Through this review article, we aim to put together all the available information on bacterial Pth and emphasize its potential in advancing innovative therapeutic interventions and combating bacterial infections
Effect of Heat Treatment on Band Gap of V2O5
The most stable oxide of the vanadium oxide family is V2O5. A lot of research effort is focused on it because it has a multitude of functional applications. Here we report on how the heat treatment (600°C, 5 h,
air) affects the microstructure and hence, the band gap of V2O5. The V2O5 powders, initially obtained by
simple thermal dissociation (500 °C, 3 h, air) of ammonium metavanadate, followed by heat treatment of
pellets; were studied. The structural and optical studies performed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), FESEM
and UV-Vis techniques, provide uniquely interesting results which indicate the possibility of band gap tuning by controlling the microstructure

Hiring in Online Labor Markets: The Role of Jobspecific Experience
This paper investigates the role of workers’ job-specific experience on employers’ hiring decisions in online labor markets. Relying on textual descriptions of job postings and natural language processing techniques, we design a novel metric that measures how well a worker’s past experience fits the requirements of a specific job. We show that our job-specific experience metric is a significant predictor of whether the employee will be hired for each specific job, even when accounting for observable worker- and job-level idiosyncratic factors and overall market competition
Ayurvedic interpretation and management of Covid-19 and Post Covid Symptoms
World community is facing an unprecedented pandemic of novel corona virus disease (Covid-19) caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS-COV-2). Despite worldwide efforts to contain it, the pandemic is continuing to spread because of nonspecific drugs trial and still the exact medicine is yet to discovered. Ayurveda an ancient science has already described the pandemic with reference to Janapadodhwamsa along with its prevention and cure with reference to Aupsargika-Rogas. All kinds of Jwara are mentioned in our Ayurvedic classics with details of patho-physiology and management. Thus, Covid-19 whose main manifestation is Jwara can be managed and prevented by following the Ayurvedic daily regimen and treatment protocols which lessens the bad prognosis of Covid-19 thereby preventing the Post Covid Symptoms. Covid-19 can be managed by the treatment protocol mentioned in Jwara-Chikitsa, Janapadodhwamsa, Aupsargika Rogas while the Post Covid Symptoms can be managed by Jirna Jwara Chikitsa along with different forms Rasayana based on feasibility. Rasayana Chikitsa works well in the preventive as well as curative in both Covid-19 and Post Covid Symptoms. Role of Panchakarma in Covid-19 and Post Covid Symptoms has a special place in treating the Strotodushti of various level mainly the Pranavaha Strotas. Vyadhikshamatva and Agni play an important role in developing Covid-19 and Post Covid Symptoms therefore, attention should be given to increase the Vyadhikshamatva and maintain the optimum power of Agni of the public health. In this way Covid-19 infection is prevented thereby minimizing the further health hazards. Therefore, Ayurvedic principles should be adopted to prevent and manage the Covid-19 infection by interpreting the elements of patho-physiology in Ayurvedic perspective so as to plan an effective management protocol and to recover the Swasthya
