Vegetative propagation could be an important advantage and also envisioned to be the best alternative for planting stock production in the absence or lack of seeds. In Pichavaram, mangrove forest Tamil Nadu, the Ceriops decandra (Rhizophoraceae) is one of the most endangered species and IUCN also declared this species as near threatened. Propagation of C. decandra, by propagule cuttings, treated with plant growth regulators (PGRs) is feasible and it was possible to produce three saplings from one propagule. The effect of PGRs like indole butyric acid (IBA), naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), gibberellic acid (GA3 ) on propagule cuttings of C. decandra were studied and the results revealed that best growth performance was recorded when the cuttings were treated with GA3 2000 ppm. The combination of NAA and IBA increased the rooting and leaf formation. Among the treatments, GA3 enhanced the number of leaves and roots, shoot and root length, fresh and dry weight of roots increased to a larger extent. All the plants are transferred to field in the mangrove forest of Pichavaram, TamilNadu, India

The aim of the present study was to investigate the presence of phytochemical compounds and GCMS analysis of Corbichonia decumbens. The Soxhlet apparatus was used for the organic solvent extraction. Solvents used were hexane and ethanol. The results showed in preliminary phytochemical analysis alkaloids, Flavonoids, Saponins, Glycosides, Steroids were observed in hexane and ethanolic extracts. The Phenols and Tanins were present only in ethanolic extract. The GC-MS analysis has shown the presence of different phytochemical compounds in the ethanolic extract Corbichonia decumbens. A total of 30 compounds were identified representing 84.49% of total methanolic extract composition. Our findings provided evidence that organic solvent extracts of tested plant contain medicinally important bioactive compounds and it justifies their use in the traditional medicines for the treatment of different diseases.

The main objectives of the present study were to evaluate the preliminary phytochemical compounds and FTIR analysis of Corbichonia decumbens. The FTIR method was performed on a spectrophotometer system, which was used to detect the characteristic peak values and their functional groups. The results showed in preliminary phytochemical analysis are Alkaloids, Flavonoids, Saponins, Glycosides, Steroids were observed in hexane and ethanol extracts. The phenol and tannins were only present in the ethanolic extract. The FTIR spectroscopic studies revealed different characteristic peak values with various functional compounds in the ethanol extracts. In FTIR analysis of C. decumbens there are 33 functional groups were identified. The FTIR analysis of C. decumbens was the first attempt based on the literature survey

Internet of Things (IoT) and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) technology acts as a significant part of daily lives to facilitate control and monitoring of objects to revolutionize the ways that human interacts with physical world. IoT system includes large volume of data with network connectivity, power, and storage resources to transform data into meaningful information. Blockchain has decentralized nature to provide useful mechanism for addressing IoT challenges. Blockchain is distributed ledger with fundamental attributes, namely recorded, transparent, and decentralized. Blockchain formed participants in distributed ledger to record the transactions and communicate with other through trustless method. Security is considered as the most valuable features of Blockchain. IoT and Blockchain are emerging ideas for creating the applications to share the intrinsic features. Several existing works has been developed for the integration of blockchain with IoT. But, Blockchain protocols in the state-of-the-art works with IoT failed to consider the computational loads, delays, and bandwidth overhead which lead to new set of problems. The review estimates main challenges in integration of Blockchain and IoT technologies to attain high-level solutions by addressing the shortcomings and limitations of IoT and Blockchain technologies

Modulation of endoplasmic reticulum stress and cardiomyocyte apoptosis by mulberry leaf diet in experimental autoimmune myocarditis rats

Mulberry is commonly used as silkworm diet and an alternative medicine in Japan and China, has recently reported to contain many antioxidative flavanoid compounds and having the free radical scavenging effects. Antioxidants reduce cardiac oxidative stress and attenuate cardiac dysfunction in animals with pacing-induced congestive heart failure. Hence we investigated the cardioprotective effect of mulberry leaf powder in rats with experimental autoimmune myocarditis. Eight-week-old Lewis rats immunized with cardiac myosin were fed with either normal chow or a diet containing 5% mulberry leaf powder and were examined on day 21. ML significantly decreased oxidative stress, myocyte apoptosis, cellular infiltration, cardiac fibrosis, mast cell density, myocardial levels of sarco/endo-plasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase2, p22phox, receptor for advanced glycation end products, phospho-p38 mitogen activated protein kinase, phospho-c-Jun NH2-terminal protein kinase, glucose regulated protein78, caspase12 and osteopontin levels in EAM rats. These results may suggest that mulberry diet can preserve the cardiac function in experimental autoimmune myocarditis by modulating oxidative stress induced MAPK activation and further afford protection against endoplasmic reticulum stress mediated apoptosis
