    The use of modern measurement techniques for designing pro ecological constructions

    In the paper some possibilities of application modern length and angle metrology techniques to design constructions that support ecology were presented. The paper is based on a project where a lighter bus and train car seat was developed. Different options were presented including static and dynamic photogrammetry, computed tomography and thermography. Research related with dynamic behaviour of designed structures gave input to determine deformation of a seat and passengers sitting on it during communication accidents. Works connected to strength of construction elements made it possible to optimize its dimensions maintaining proper durability. Metrological actions taken in relation to production machines and equipment enabled to better recognize phenomena that take place during manufacturing process and to correct its parameters, what in turns also contributed to slim down the construction

    Leczenie zapalenia błony naczyniowej oka wymaga szczególnego podejścia, z uwagi na ryzyko istotnych powikłań, włącznie z utratą wzroku. Przyczyny choroby nie zawsze zostają ustalone, jednak znacząca część przypadków ma silny związek z układowymi chorobami tkanki łącznej, w szczególności spondyloartropatiami. Wskazuje to na potrzebę współpracy między okulistą i reumatologiem w celu zapewnienia choremu należytej opieki. W przebiegu leczenia można wyróżnić fazy w zależności od czasu trwania terapii i utrzymywania się objawów choroby. Aktualne dane badawcze uzasadniają zastosowanie miejscowe oraz ogólne glikokortykosteroidów, a także leków immunosupresyjnych w kolejnych liniach leczenia. Artykuł stanowi podsumowanie aktualnych rekomendacji oraz obserwacji klinicznych, jak również przedstawia oparty na nich schemat postępowania terapeutycznego.Treatment of uveitis requires a special approach because of the risk of significant complications, including loss of vision. The causes of the disease cannot always be determined, but a significant proportion of cases have a strong association with systemic connective tissue disorders, particularly spondyloarthropathies. This indicates the need for cooperation between an ophthalmologist and a rheumatologist in order to provide the patient with proper care. Several stages can be distinguished in the course of treatment, depending on the duration of therapy and the persistence of symptoms. Current research data justify the use of topical and systemic corticosteroids, as well as immunosuppressive drugs in subsequent lines of therapy. The article summarizes current recommendations and clinical observations, and presents a therapeutic regimen based on them

    Analysis of Tool Geometry for the Stamping Process of Large-Size Car Body Components Using a 3D Optical Measurement System

    The paper presents a method for checking the geometry of stamped car body parts using a 3D optical measurement system. The analysis focuses on the first forming operation due to the deformation and material flow associated with stall thresholds. An essential element of the analysis is determining the actual gap occurring between the forming surfaces based on the die and punch geometry used in the first stamping operation. The geometry of car body elements at individual production stages was analyzed using an optical laser scanner. The control carried out in this way allowed one to correctly position the tools (punch and die), thus introducing the correction of technological parameters, having a fundamental influence on the specific features of the final product. This type of approach has not been used before to calibrate the technological line and setting of shaping tools. The influence of the manufactured product geometry in intermediate operations on the final geometry features was not investigated
