La préface du Mariage de Figaro constitue un texte-clé pour une appréciation générale des talents et de la sensibilité de Beaumarchais. À l’aide de concepts inspirés de la sociologie de Pierre Bourdieu et d’une sociopoétique de la réception d’Alain Viala, l’auteur étudie ce texte comme l’expression spécifique de la position du dramaturge dans le champ littéraire. L’analyse du dialogue, des lois du genre préfaciel, des structures du champ littéraire et de l’image sociale de l’écrivain lui-même expose les rapports du texte avec les conventions linguistiques. Dès lors, au-delà des thèmes et des sujets qui y sont abordés, la préface traduit un effort de consolidation de position dans le champ de la dramaturgie.The preface to Beaumarchais' Marriage of Figaro constitutes a key text for the general understanding of the author's talents and sensibilities. Using concepts inspired by Pierre Bourdieu's social theories and by Alain Viala's work on the social poetics of reception theory, the author approaches this text as an expression of the specific position occupied by the dramatist in literature. Through an analysis of dialogue, the characteristics of the preface as a genre, the structures of the literary field and the social image of the author himself, the rapport between linguistic conventions and the text are revealed. Beyond the themes and subjects treated in the preface itself, this type of text exposes the effort to consolidate social hierarchies within the world of dramatic literature

Karst Hydrogeology of the Haney Limestone, South Central Kentucky

South-central Kentucky has one of the world’s most intensively studied karst areas, with most work focusing on the Mammoth Cave System and the related aquifers within the Mississippian St. Louis, Ste. Genevieve and Girkin Limestones. Within much of the Mammoth Cave Plateau, these limestones are overlain by the Big Clifty Sandstone and other formations that form a protective caprock within the area’s major ridges. Above the Big Clifty, in turn, is the Mississippian Haney Limestone, typically about 12 m thick, which forms a locally important but much less well studied carbonate aquifer. This research provides the most comprehensive hydrogeologic synthesis to date of the karst hydrogeology of the Haney Limestone within south-central Kentucky, in the present study including Warren, Hart and Edmonson Counties

L’identité culturelle du clinicien et son rôle dans sa relation avec le patient

Dans une optique interactionniste, l'anamnèse culturelle du clinicien est aussi importante que celle du patient. Dans l'Europe actuelle, les mouvements migratoires demandent des ajustements à tous les niveaux. Il y a des patients étrangers, pourtant les professionnels sont eux aussi culturellement diversifiés. Affectés par le stress migratoire, ils sont également soumis à ses effets. L'auteur propose de revisiter la relation entre patient et clinicien à la lumière du modèle interprétatif-réflexif de l'interaction entre informateur (culturel) et ethnographe pratiquée sur le terrain en anthropologie.From an interactionist point of view, the cultural life history of the clinician is as important as that of the patient. In present day Europe, migratory upheavals have requested adjustments at all levels. There are foreign patients, yet professionals are themselves also culturally diversified. Affected by the migration stress, they too are submitted to its effects. The author proposes that the patient/clinician relationship be revisited in the light of the interpretative-reflexive interaction model between informant and ethnographer in the anthropological fieldwork
