    The aim of this study was to find (1) constraints in improving the quality of schools, (2) the strategy of principals to improve school quality, and (3) the efforts of principals to maintain school quality strategies. This study used a qualitative approach, with the study design of the case study. The place of this study was at the SD Islam Terpadu Robbani Singosari. The technique of collecting data is in-depth interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data obtained results in findings that are in accordance with the problems being faced by the school. The results of the study are (1) constraints to improving the quality of the school, namely the teacher's educational background that is not in accordance with the required qualifications, (2) the principal's strategy to improve the quality of the school includes participating in education seminars and requiring teachers not to qualify again 3) the efforts of the principal to maintain the school quality strategy including providing financial incentives and forming teacher work teams to improve their competence in teaching

    ANALISIS PROSPEKTIF KEBIJAKAN PENGHAPUSAN PEMBELAJARAN CALISTUNG PADA KELAS RENDAH SEKOLAH DASAR

    Abstract : The purpose of this study was to describe the prospect policy, forecast future policy, and compile policy recommendations of the elimination of “calistung” learning policies in the lower classes of elementary schools in Malang city. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. This study analyzed using the public policy prospective analysis theory from Dunn. This research in collecting data using interview techniques, and study reference. The key informant is the principal and additional informants namely the teacher and parents of students. The findings of the study are (1) The core of the substantive problem of policy is the problem of skills student and school curriculum; (2) The results of policy forecasting show the competitiveness of students towards “calistung” is slow; and (3) Policy recommendations made by the education authorities should immediately formulate policy guidelines, and schools can get around the “calistung” program by inserting on character building or educational games. Abstrak : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan prospek kebijakan, meramalkan masa depan kebijakan, dan menyusun rekomendasi kebijakan penghapusan pembelajaran calistung pada kelas rendah sekolah dasar di kota Malang. Metode yang digunakan dalam  penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini melakukan analisis menggunakan teori analisis prospektif kebijakan publik dari Dunn. Penelitian ini dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, dan kajian kepustakaan. Key Informan yakni kepala sekolah dan informan tambahan yakni guru dan orang tua siswa. Temuan dari penelitianyakni (1) Inti permasalahan substantif kebijakan yaitu masalah kecakapan dan kurikulum sekolah; (2) Hasil peramalan kebijakan menunjukkan daya cakap siswa terhadap calistung lambat; dan (3) Rekomendasi kebijakan dilakukan dinas pendidikan seyogyanya segera menyusun panduan kebijakan, serta sekolah dapat menyiasati program calistung dengan menyisipkan pada pembinaan karakter atau permainan edukasi

    Strategy to Determine the Priority of Teachers' Quality Problem Using USG (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth) Matrix

    The purpose of this study is to know, (1) identify the problem of teachers’ and educational personnel, (2) the application of USG matrix method, and (3) the impact of the problems of the educator components and education in learning at integrated islamic primary school. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The research performs analysis using the matrix theory Urgency, Seriousness and Growth (USG). The site of this research is at SD Islam Terpadu Robbani Malang Regency, Indonesia. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, documentation, and library studies. The analysis of the data in the get resulted in the findings that correspond to the problems faced by the school. The results of the study are (1) problems that cause low PTK (Teachers and Educational Personnel) values i.e. teacher qualifications are not appropriate, teachers do not have a certificate of teachers’, and teachers do not teach in accordance with educational background, (2) problems that must be resolved in advance that (a) the teachers do not teach in accordance and (b) learners are lacking in receiving learning

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) strategi kepala sekolah dalam membangun hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat meliputi komunikasi dengan masyarakat, membangun mitra kerjasama dan keterbukaan informasi, (2) penyusunan program hubungan sekolah dengan masyarakat melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, dan karyawan/TU yang kemudian disetujui oleh komite sekolah, (3) kendala yang dihadapi sekolah dalam mengembangkan hubungan masyarakat yakni masyarakat dan orang tua yang pasif, kesibukan dari masing-masing pihak, latar belakang perekonomian dan guru kurang akrab, dan (4) upaya kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan partisipasi masyarakat yakni, komunikasi dengan komite sekolah, masyarakat, orang tua dan paguyuban kelas.     Strengthening character education planning based on Pancasila value in the international class program

    Education programs planned and implemented in schools have a great impact on the forming of the student’s character and intelligence. This study aims to describe the planning of management to strengthen character education based on Pancasila values in the international class program at laboratory elementary school (Labschool) Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). Qualitative research with a case study research design is used in this study. The data was obtained through unstructured interviews with principals, teachers, education personnel, school committees, and stakeholder. All information is tested for credibility and validity through triangulation. The results of this study showed that planning activities in character education strengthening programs are divided into aspects of learning and non-learning. The formulation of the school's vision and mission is used as the basis for implementing character education in schools, by adjusting learning characteristics that refer to western education patterns, which are combined with eastern culture as outlined in student character-building activities. The impact of implementing school strategies in strengthening student character is inherent in students’ daily lives, both in the environment where they live and in their school environment, and continues to carry over into adulthood

    Analisis Kesiapan Mahasiswa dalam Mengikuti Pembelajaran Sistem Hibrid

    Abstract: This study aims to identify the factors of student readiness in participating in hybrid system learning. A quantitative approach, with an explanatory design, was used to answer the aforementioned research objectives. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Malang, with a total sample of 346 students, which were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, the factors studied, namely health conditions showed a tendency at the level of good criteria, understanding of the implementation of hybrid learning was in the criteria of understanding, the lifestyle of the majority of students living in boarding houses/rented and mobility using private vehicles during college, the application of health protocols was on the frequent criteria, students' perceptions of hybrid lectures are good, parental support shows a supportive tendency, and students' readiness to take hybrid lectures is on the supportive criteria.Keywords: Hybrid learning; higher education; student readiness; Covid-19Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran sistem hibrid. Pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan explanatory design, digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian yang telah disebutkan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Malang, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 346 mahasiswa, yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor yang diteliti yakni kondisi kesehatan menunjukkan kecenderungan pada tingkat kriteria baik, pemahaman pelaksanaan hybrid learning berada pada kriteria paham, gaya hidup mahasiswa mayoritas bertempat tinggal di kos/kontrakan dan mobilitas menggunakan kendaraan pribadi selama berkuliah, penerapan protokol kesehatan berada pada kriteria sering, persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan hybrid baik, dukungan orang tua menunjukkan kecenderungan mendukung, dan kesiapan mahasiswa mengikuti perkuliahan hybrid berada pada kriteria mendukung.Kata kunci: Hybrid learning; perguruan tinggi; kesiapan mahasiswa; Covid-1

    Principal transformational leadership and teacher readiness to teach: Mediating role of self-efficacy

    Student should participate in high-quality learning regardless of all existing conditions; therefore, efforts are needed to identify various factors related to teacher readiness in teaching (TR). This research identified the effect of the four components of transformational leadership (TL) on teacher TR in the era of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic through the role of teacher self-efficacy mediation. The study used a quantitative approach, with a model of structural equation modelling (SEM) causality with the help of the analysis of moment structure 24.0 (AMOS 24.0) program. This study involved 332 secondary school teachers as respondent. SEM is used to build relationship models and to analyze direct or indirect effects, while the Sobel test is conducted for testing mediation hypotheses. Based on the results of research, four components of TL, can affect teacher TR through teacher self-efficacy. The contribution of this research provides insight into the importance of the principal's TL practices in preparing teachers for teaching through teacher self-efficacy, which is a necessity today

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembagian tugas, mendeskripsikan bentuk keterlibatan, mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan mendeskripsikan faktor penghambat keterlibatan unit kerja di FIP UM dalam kelancaran penyelesaian surat pertanggungjawaban keuangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan rancangan studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan google form. Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan kredibilitas. Hasil dari penelitian yakni, (1) pembagian tugas dilakukan mulai awal penyusunan rencana kegiatan hingga penyelesaian SPJ, (2) bentuk keterlibatan dari beberapa pihak seperti atasan yang ada pada masing-masing unit seperti ketua jurusan dan pegawai lain, (3) faktor pendukung yakni tenggat waktu yang diberikan mencukupi, peraturan mengenai penyusunan dan persyaratan tidak berubah banyak dari setiap tahunnya, komunikasi dengan pihak unit keuangan FIP juga memadahi, dan penyelesaian SPJ keuangan diberikan pendampingan, dan (4) faktor penghambat yakni, kurangnya sosialisasi terkait data dukung yang diperlukan dalam melaporkan kegiatan, kurang terbukanya informasi terkait perubahan SPJ, saat memeriksa data dukung SPJ tidak secara umum melainkan hanya pada detail data dukung satu persatu, hal ini membuat penyelesaian SPJ menjadi lama

    Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship training, family support, achievement motivation and self-efficacy on students' interest in entrepreneurship. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. The research population is students majoring in Educational Administration, FIP UM, with a sample of 203 students. Data analysis using SEM with the help of the AMOS 24.0 program. The results of this study are, (1) entrepreneurship training and family support have a partial and simultaneous effect on student achievement motivation, (2) entrepreneurship training and family support have a partial and simultaneous influence on student self-efficacy, (3) entrepreneurial training , family environment support, achievement motivation and self efficacy have partial and simultaneous influence on student entrepreneurship interest, and (4) entrepreneurship training and family environment support have indirect influence on entrepreneurship interest through student achievement motivation and self efficacy.Keywords: entrepreneurship training; family environment support; achievement motivation; self-efficacy; interest in entrepreneurship.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan kewirausahaan, dukungan lingkungan keluarga, motivasi berprestasi dan self efficacy terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian yakni mahasiswa jurusan Administrasi Pendidikan FIP UM, dengan sampel sebanyak 203 mahasiswa. Analisis data menggunakan SEM dengan bantuan program AMOS 24.0. Hasil penelitian ini yakni, (1) pelatihan kewirausahaan dan dukungan lingkungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap motivasi berprestasi mahasiswa, (2) pelatihan kewirausahaan dan dukungan lingkungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap self efficacy mahasiswa, (3) pelatihan kewirausahaan, dukungan lingkungan keluarga, motivasi berprestasi dan self efficacy memiliki pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa, dan (4) pelatihan kewirausahaan dan dukungan lingkungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap minat berwirausaha melalui motivasi berprestasi dan self efficacy mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: pelatihan kewirausahaan; dukungan lingkungan keluarga; motivasi berprestasi; self efficacy; minat berwirausaha

    Tujuan penelitian ini yakni, (1) lihat tingkat kinerja pegawai berdasarkan jenis kelamin laki-laki, (2) lihat tingkat kinerja pegawai berdasarkan jenis kelamin, dan (3) pengawasan ada atau tidaknya acuan kinerja berdasarkan jenis kelamin pegawai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif komparatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan di masing-masing unit di lingkungan Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) menggunakan proporsional random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 301 orang pegawai. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni analisis deskriptif dan independent sample t-testdengan bantuan program SPSS 24.0. Hasil penelitian ini yakni; (1) tingkat kinerja pegawai UM berdasarkan jenis kelamin laki-laki berada pada kategori sangat baik, (2) tingkat kinerja pegawai UM berdasarkan jenis kelamin perempuan berada pada kategori sangat baik, dan (3) tidak ada acuan kinerja berdasarkan jenis kelamin pegawai UM
