Fraseologiske enheders indplacering i Jysk Ordbog

The topic is presented within a framework of relevant overview schemata in Lüger1999 and on the basis of especially the latest published parts of the Jutlandic Dictionary(www.jyskordbog.dk), from HA- to HU-. Comments are made as to the terminologicaldiscussion of e.g. “phraseologisms”, “phrasemes”: they may be used as terms not only forunits below sentence-level, but also for idioms with sentence-structure (cf. chapters 2–3).Particular attention is drawn to “one-word-phrasemes” (juxtapositions, chap. 2.3), and to“phraseme-lemmas”, i.e. lemmas created just to account for a special phraseme (chap. 4).Concludingly, the microstructures of very large articles (nouns and verbs) are inspectedas to the precise placing of the large amount of set phrases (chap. 5)

Konventionelle figurative enheder (idiomer) i Jysk Ordbog og andre større ordbøger

Inside the framework of cognitive linguistics and lexical semantics the study employs a theory of conventional figurative units, e.g. metaphors and similes, based on a conceptual theory of metaphors. The lexical mate-rial is found in the card index and files of the Jysk Ordbog (Dictionary of the Jutland Dialects); it consists of idioms from a broad range of seman-tic fields, arranged in oppositions as 'richness vs. poorness', 'cleverness vs. foolishnes', and it covers especially topic groups of the daily work and life on farms, in villages etc. of the countryside. The study shows how the idioms are treated in the entries of Jysk Ordbog, and special attention is given to instances of polysemy due to figurative use of word; this may require addition of a submeaning to a lexical entry. The results are sum-marized in an overview chart for the key lexemes of the idioms in the re-spective semantic fields

The article deals with important groups of set phrases as they are presented in the Jutland Dialect Dictionary, sections B-, D- and F- (cf. http://www.jyskordbog.dk/): phrases with loss of word stress (e.g. phrasal verbs, chapter 1) or retention of it respectively (e.g. pairs of words, chap. 2). Also some short sentences may be viewed as set phrases (chap. 3); another type is the schematic idioms (chap. 4). Some problems of delimiting the concepts “set phrase” / “idiom” / “figurative sense” to each other are demonstrated (chap. 5). Like the section H- of the dictionary (cf. Arboe 2008), the sections B-, D-, F- show a lot of “phraseme-lemmas”, i.e. lemmas consisting of words only found in set phrases and idioms (chapters 6–7). Next, specialities as “one-word-phrasemes” (juxtapositions) and extended conjunctions are treated (chapters 8–9). Finally, an earlier overview scheme is revised as to the graphic representation of “fixednes” in set phrases on sentence level
