O que resta da Shoah? Uma história sobre ruínas e memórias em Agamben, Lanzmann, Philipsz e Haacke

This article brings to the surface considerations about the fact that natural life, at the heart of the modern State, came to be linked and governed by the notions of the political, and that this politics took power from the human. Thus, we intertwine the Agambenian concepts present in his Homo Sacer III. Remnants of Auschwitz: the witness and the archive (1998) to the following productions: the 11-year long research of French filmmaker Claude Lanzmann and his film Shoah (1985); the sound installation Study for Strings (2012), by Susan Philipsz, for Documenta 13; and Hans Haacke’s installation Germania (1993) for the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, whose form weaves dialogues with reminiscences of the Third Reich. We also extend the reflections on biopolitics, relating this issue to the social occupation of being (bios) in the city (polis).Este artigo traz à superfície considerações sobre o fato de que a vida natural, no cerne do Estado moderno, passou a ser atrelada e governada pelas noções do político, e que essa mesma política tomou o poder do humano. Assim, entrelaçamos as conceituações agambenianas presentes em seu Homo Sacer III. O que resta de Auschwitz: o arquivo e o testemunho (1998) às seguintes produções: a longa pesquisa de 11 anos do cineasta francês Claude Lanzmann e seu filme Shoah (1985); a instalação sonora Study for Strings (2012), de Susan Philipsz, para a Documenta 13; e a instalação Germania (1993), de Hans Haacke, para o Pavilhão Alemão na Bienal de Veneza, cuja forma tece diálogos com as reminiscências do Terceiro Reich. Estendemos ainda as reflexões sobre a biopolítica, relacionando tal problemática com a ocupação social do ser (bíos) na cidade (pólis)

During the conversation with Ana Altberg, André Leal, Roberto Conduru and members of the journal’s team, Paulo Tavares answers questions related to his work in the fields of architecture, art and land rights, permeated by his interests in archeology, criticism and media ecology. Bioactivity of mangrove humic materials on Rizophora mangle and Laguncularia racemosa seedlings, Brazil

The mangrove sediments are rich in organic matter and humic substances, responsible for important functions such as reducing the toxicity of heavy metals, nutrient stabilization, serving as drain to atmospheric carbon and increasing the plant growth. In this study, we observed the effect of humic substances, humic acids and fulvic acids isolated from sediments of a mangrove forest, sampled from the Municipal Ecological Station Ilha do Lameirão (EEMIL, located in Vitória, Espírito Santo State, Brazil), on the growth and root acidification of Rizophora mangle and Laguncularia racemosa seedlings. For this, R. mangle and L. racemosa propagules were transferred to pots and then treated with different humic materials. The evaluation in root architecture change was performed by analyzing the main root axis length, lateral root length, density of lateral roots, fresh and dry mass weight of roots and estimated H+-ATPase activity by specific root acidification measurement. The results indicate that all humic materials extracted from mangrove organic matter were able to modify the root architecture systems of the studied plants. In addition to inducing an increase in the number of lateral roots and root branching, it also stimulated specific root acidification when compared to control groups. There is a good potential in developing technologies for the production of seedlings of mangrove plant species treated with biostimulants based in humic materials isolated from the mangrove ecosystem itself.Keywords: Humic substances, humic acids, fulvic acids, mangrov

Crescer na intervenção e na comunicação é um dos objetivos da Revista Gama, estudos artísticos. Promove-se a comunicação, formal, dentro das regras da comunicação académica, através de textos cuja característica comum é serem escritos por artistas, sobre a obra de outros artistas. Este foi o critério base que inspirou o projeto das iniciativas associadas ao Congresso CSO (criadores sobre outras obras), que já completou seis anos de disseminação. A Revista Gama singularizou-se por convocar artistas e obras que de algum modo estariam esquecidos, desconhecidos, ou ainda pouco divulgados. Obras cuja execução tem raízes em passados mais ou menos recentes, mas que pelo excesso de discursos na contemporaneidade, não obtiveram a divulgação desejada. Este é um propósito de intervenção no conhecimento patrimonial: as obras existem, foram executadas, enriquecem o nosso património, mas há que as fazer funcionar, dar a conhecer, aos outros artistas, aos especialistas, ao grande público. Assim se reuniram neste número 6 da Revista Gama vinte e quatro artigos originais, procurando-se, na sua sequência e articulação, algumas relações de pertinência e afinidade. Olhares sobre arquivos, sobre acervos, sobre coleções, conjuntos muitas vezes fechados e em perigo de esquecimento, ou de incompreensão: uma entrada discreta que se abre para o interior de uma câmara escura, que é um espaço cheio de imagens por revelar.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
