FREQUENCY OF ISOLATION AND TYPE CHARACTERISTICS OF HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS IN VARIOUS CLINICAL FORMS OF HERPES

The isolation rate of herpes simplex virus (HSV) was investigated in relation to the stage of herpetic disease in 186 patients from the Varna region. It was proved that HSV was isolated most success filly during the first 1-2 days after the appearance of herpetic vesicles. Isolation of HSV in the later stages of the illness was rather difficult. An analysis of the correlation between the type of the isolated HSV and the location of the disease was performed, too. It was established that HSV-1 was isolated from all patients with labial and facial herpes, HSV-2 was isolated from patients with genital and gluteal herpes while both types were isolated from cases with herpes of the extremities. The earlier established correlation between the HSV type and location of the herpetic disease remains unchanged in Bulgaria in contrast to many European countries and USA

Mathematical modeling of thermal effectiveness of a ternary combined cycle plant

The urgency of this work is determined by the intensification of the role of steam-gas technologies (combined cycle technologies) in the field of power engineering in Russia and throughout the world. Developed mathematical model of ternary combined cycle plants, which is based on balance method includes system of mass balance and energy balance equations for ternary combined cycle plants and its units, equations of steam expansion in turbine and working fluids thermodynamic properties. On the basis of a model was carried out the analysis of the impact of the structure and thermodynamic parameters on thermal effectiveness of heat-recovery ternary combined cycle plants which cycle is the combination of three working substance cycles, one of which is low-boiling substance. The analysis of the thermal effectiveness of ternary combined cycle plants was made by means of the small-deflection method. The optimal parameters of operating environment and structure of a ternary combined cycle plants were determined

The impact of World University Rankings on BRICS students' choices of universities (the case of the Ural Federal University)

World rankings affect universities’ positions on the global education market. The survey (2017-2018, UrFU) of Chinese students (n = 20) and experts (n = 4) found that for students the quality of education and their parents’ / friends’ opinions were the key factors in their university choice. Experts believe, however, that the role of rankings will grow and that high ranking positions will be used by universities to attract investment and improve their status
