    Inovação e outsourcing: o caso da Volkswagen do brasil

    Today, information technology supports business operations, supply chain and business improvements for customers. This article analyzes the motivation that should be directed to the company to outsource activities, related to its engineering processes, concerned with the development of new products, taking into account the risks associated with outsourcing. Business Process Outsourcing is a strategic decision that presents results in the medium / long term. The empirical work that supports this work is titled "Outsourcing in the activities of development of new products, the case of Volkswagen do Brasil", elaborated by Pereira, Scur & Mello. This study is qualitative and was performed by sampling, through face-to-face interviews, recorded with the consent of the interviewees. Its main objective was to contribute to the development of business activity. The study identifies the reasons why an automotive company subcontracts "suppliers" to carry out its activities and develop new products. The conclusion of outsourcing is related to the lack of a resource for the ability to carry out an activity. They pointed out as risks of outsourcing, the leakage of knowledge, the loss of critical capacity and, consequently, the dependence on the supplier and finally the company's ability to acquire new technologies.Atualmente as tecnologias de informação sustentam operações empresariais, unem elos distantes de cadeias de fornecimento e ainda, empresas a clientes. Neste artigo analisamos as motivações que levam uma empresa a promover outsourcing de atividades, ligadas aos seus processos de engenharia, tendo como foco principal o desenvolvimento de novos produtos, sem descurar os riscos associados ao outsourcing. O Business Process Outsourcing é uma decisão estratégica, que apresenta resultados a médio/longo prazo. O trabalho empírico de suporte a este artigo intitula-se “Outsourcing nas atividades de desenvolvimento de novos produtos, o caso da Volkswagen do Brasil”, elaborado por Pereira, Scur & Mello. O estudo é qualitativo, pois foi realizado por amostragem, através de entrevistas presenciais, gravadas com autorização dos entrevistados. Este estudo contribui para o desenvolvimento da atividade empresarial. Identifica as razões pelas quais uma empresa do setor automóvel subcontrata “fornecedores” para realizar as suas atividades e desenvolver novos produtos. Conclui-se que a opção pelo outsourcing está relacionada com a falta de um determinado recurso ou capacidade para realizar a atividade. Foram apontados como riscos do outsourcing, a fuga de conhecimento, a perda de capacidade crítica e consequentemente, a dependência em relação ao fornecedor e ainda, a capacidade da empresa em adquirir novas tecnologias

    A case study undertaken recycling & reuse of glass fiber reinforced thermoset polumer wastes of composite materials industry

    Glass fibre-reinforced plastics (GFRP) have been considered inherently difficult to recycle due to both: crosslinked nature of thermoset resins, which cannot be remoulded, and complex composition of the composite itself. Presently, most of the GFRP waste is landfilled leading to negative environmental impacts and supplementary added costs. With an increasing awareness of environmental matters and the subsequent desire to save resources, recycling would convert an expensive waste disposal into a profitable reusable material. In this study, efforts were made in order to recycle grinded GFRP waste, proceeding from pultrusion production scrap, into new and sustainable composite materials. For this purpose, GFRP waste recyclates, were incorporated into polyester based mortars as fine aggregate and filler replacements at different load contents and particle size distributions. Potential recycling solution was assessed by mechanical behaviour of resultant GFRP waste modified polymer mortars. Results revealed that GFRP waste filled polymer mortars present improved flexural and compressive behaviour over unmodified polyester based mortars, thus indicating the feasibility of the GFRP industrial waste reuse into concrete-polymer composite materials

    Em virtude de partilhar uma evolução geodinâmica associada ao ciclo varisco comum, a generalidade do autóctone da Zona Centro-Ibérica apresenta uma acentuada homogeneidade do ponto de vista litoestratigráfico, estrutural, magmático e metamórfico, o que permitiu a sua integração num mesmo domínio orogénico (Julivert et al, 1972). Contudo, a existência de alguma diversidade, principalmente a nível da geometria e cinemática das principais estruturas variscas, permite a individualização de subdomínios (para uma revisão ver Dias & Ribeiro, 2011); a região em torno do Complexo de Mantos Parautóctones do NE de Portugal (Rodrigues et al, 2011), a qual será abordada neste trabalho, constitui precisamente um destes subdomínio

    Na área de Abrantes (Zona Ossa Morena), o extremo NW da Zona de Cisalhamento de Tomar-Badajoz-Córdoba termina contra a Zona de Cisalhamento Porto-Tomar-Ferreira do Alentejo. Mantos de carreamento de soco Cadomiano foram transportados para NE durante a orogenia Varisca; granulitos de pressão intermédia/baixa contrastam com associações cadomianas de alta pressão na zona axial da ZCTBC, devido à presença de uma sutura Cadomiana. O sistema intraplacas de mantos de soco da ZOM é conectado via a paleotransformante PTFA com os mantos de soco do sistema interplacas da sutura transportada do NW Ibérico

    Este artigo apresenta o projeto de intervenção pedagógica resultado da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, do Instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho, implementado nas valências de Jardim de Infância e de Creche. O tema do projeto intitulou-se As Canções de Mimar no Jardim de Infância e na Creche: Canção Mimada, Criança Encantada que emergiu após as observações realizadas tendo em especial atenção os interesses dos grupos de crianças de cada contexto pela música e cantar canções. Na abordagem deste tema pretendi envolver ao máximo a participação das crianças de ambos os contextos de modo a cativá-las, motivá-las e a entusiasmá-las na realização das atividades. No que concerne às metodologias que apoiaram a concretização deste projeto a metodologia de investigação aproximou-se de uma investigação-ação e metodologia de ensino baseou-se no modelo curricular High/Scope. Os instrumentos de recolha de dados foram: observação, notas de campo e registos fotográficos. Em referência aos dados obtidos constatou-se que os objetivos foram conseguidos, uma vez que ao longo da implementação do projeto as crianças demonstraram-se motivadas, empenhadas, participativas e, acima de tudo, encantadas, o que revela interesse e contentamento pelo trabalho desenvolvido; as crianças adquiriram novas competências e ampliaram também conhecimentos sobre a música, através das canções de mimar.This article presents the pedagogical intervention project resulting from the Supervised Teaching Practice, developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Preschool Education, of the Institute of Education of the University of Minho, implemented in kindergarten and nursery school. The theme of the project was entitled The Mime Songs in Kindergarten and Nursery School: Mimicking Songs, Enchanted Children, which emerged after the observations made having in mind the interests of the groups of children in each context for music and singing songs. In the approach of this theme I intended to involve the maximum participation of the children of both contexts in order to captivate, motivate and enthuse them in the performance of the activities. With regard to the methodologies that supported the implementation of this project, the research methodology was close to an action research and teaching methodology was based on the High/Scope curriculum model. The data collection instruments were: observation, field notes and photographic records. In reference to the data obtained it was found that the objectives were achieved, since throughout the implementation of the project the children were motivated, engaged, participatory and, above all, delighted, which shows interest and contentment for the work developed; the children acquired new skills and also expanded knowledge about music, through the pamper songs.Este artículo presenta el proyecto de intervención pedagógica resultante de la Práctica Pedagógica Supervisada, desarrollada en el ámbito del Máster en Educación Infantil, del Instituto de Educación de la Universidad de Minho, implementado en jardín de infancia y guardería. El tema del proyecto se tituló Las canciones mímicas en el jardín de infancia y guardería: canciones mímicas, niños encantados, que surgió después de las observaciones realizadas teniendo en cuenta los intereses de los grupos de niños en cada contexto para la música y cantar canciones. En el abordaje de este tema pretendí involucrar la máxima participación de los niños de ambos contextos para cautivarlos, motivarlos y entusiasmarlos en la realización de las actividades. En cuanto a las metodologías que apoyaron la realización de este proyecto, la metodología de investigación se aproximó a una investigación-acción y la metodología de enseñanza se basó en el modelo curricular High/Scope. Los instrumentos de recogida de datos fueron: la observación, las notas de campo y los registros fotográficos. En referencia a los datos obtenidos se constató que los objetivos fueron alcanzados, ya que a lo largo de la implementación del proyecto los niños se mostraron motivados, comprometidos, participativos y, sobre todo, encantados, lo que demuestra interés y contento por el trabajo desarrollado; los niños adquirieron nuevas habilidades y también ampliaron conocimientos sobre la música, a través de las canciones mimadas

    Experimental study on polyester based concretes filled with glass fibre reinforced plastic recyclates – a contribution to composite materials sustainability

    The development and applications of thermoset polymeric composites, namely fibre reinforced plastics (FRP), have shifted in the last decades more and more into the mass market [1]. Despite of all advantages associated to FRP based products, the increasing production and consume also lead to an increasing amount of FRP wastes, either end-of-lifecycle products, or scrap and by-products generated by the manufacturing process itself. Whereas thermoplastic FRPs can be easily recycled, by remelting and remoulding, recyclability of thermosetting FRPs constitutes a more difficult task due to cross-linked nature of resin matrix. To date, most of the thermoset based FRP waste is being incinerated or landfilled, leading to negative environmental impacts and supplementary added costs to FRP producers and suppliers. This actual framework is putting increasing pressure on the industry to address the options available for FRP waste management, being an important driver for applied research undertaken cost efficient recycling methods. [1-2]. In spite of this, research on recycling solutions for thermoset composites is still at an elementary stage. Thermal and/or chemical recycling processes, with partial fibre recovering, have been investigated mostly for carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) due to inherent value of carbon fibre reinforcement; whereas for glass fibre reinforced plastics (GFRP), mechanical recycling, by means of milling and grinding processes, has been considered a more viable recycling method [1-2]. Though, at the moment, few solutions in the reuse of mechanically-recycled GFRP composites into valueadded products are being explored. Aiming filling this gap, in this study, a new waste management solution for thermoset GFRP based products was assessed. The mechanical recycling approach, with reduction of GFRP waste to powdered and fibrous materials was applied, and the potential added value of obtained recyclates was experimentally investigated as raw material for polyester based mortars. The use of a cementless concrete as host material for GFRP recyclates, instead of a conventional Portland cement based concrete, presents an important asset in avoiding the eventual incompatibility problems arisen from alkalis silica reaction between glass fibres and cementious binder matrix. Additionally, due to hermetic nature of resin binder, polymer based concretes present greater ability for incorporating recycled waste products [3]. Under this scope, different GFRP waste admixed polymer mortar (PM) formulations were analyzed varying the size grading and content of GFRP powder and fibre mix waste.
