    Parents have a very important role in the learning process of children during distance learning at this time, are also very instrumental in providing education and supervising their children who still do not understand about the pandemic who is at home so that they are not infected and endemic to remain silent at home. house so as not to contract and spread the covid-19 virus. Parents who study at home are very effective to implement, but that does not mean learning at school is no more effective than learning activities at home. The purpose of this study was to see the role of parents in children's learning activities at home during the Covid 19 pandemic which is focused on children aged 5-8 years. This research method is to use a phenomenological qualitative method. The results of this study are that parents can improve their relationship with their children and parents can see directly the development of their children's learning abilities

    Penulisan Karya Ilmiah dalam Jaringan Bagi Guru Bahasa Indonesia

    Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat diharapkan agar para guru lebih memahami dan mahir dalam menulis karya ilmiah sebagai penunjang kegiatan pengembangan profesi guru. Selain itu terbantunya guru dalam kenaikan pangkat sebagai syarat yang harus dipenuhi. Tersusunnya artikel penelitian hasil kegiatan pelatihan penulisan para guru. Untuk mencapai tujuan pelatihan digunakan metode pelatihan, praktik secara langsung melalui pendampingan. Pada kegiatan program pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah diikuti sebanyak 37 orang guru dari berbagai daerah. Hasil yang didapat berdasarkan rata-rata hasil pre-test menunjukkan 69.58% yang dibandingkan dengan rata-rata hasil post-test 80.50% yang mana terdapat kenaikan sebesar 10.92% secara keseluruhan. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa terlaksananya pelatihan dapat mencapai pemahaman pengertian penulisan artikel, penggunaan aplikasi mendeley, dan pelatihan mensubmit artikel dari berbagai jurnal yang akan dituju. Pada akhir kegiatan program diperoleh hasil: 1) Sebanyak 37 orang guru dari berbagai daerah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan secara utuh selama 24 jam pelajaran; 2) Terlaksana tiga kali pendampingan dalam kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penulisan artikel ilmiah; 3) Tersedia 37 laporan hasil penulisan artikel oleh setiap peserta dengan bimbingan dan arahan tim pendamping

    The Online Listening Strategy Instruction and Vocabulary Knowledge on Listening Skill of Grade 12 Japanese Language Learners in Bekasi West Java

    This article presents the result of empirical research that investigates the effect of online listening strategies instruction and vocabulary knowledge on Japanese language learners' listening skill. Listening strategies instruction used are the integrative model and the Oxford model. Participants in the study were 44 Japanese language learners of grade 12 from SMAN 21 Bekasi. This research used a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental method. The data was collected by pre-test and post-test related to the learners' Japanese listening skills. The learners' vocabulary knowledge was also measured using a vocabulary knowledge test. The result showed that the online listening strategy instruction, integrative model could not be given to students of class XII of SMAN 21 Bekasi due to the absence of a significant effect of the method and vocabulary knowledge on listening skills of Japanese language learners of grade 12 from SMAN 21 Bekasi. The research shows the possibility of other factors such as learning independency and learner autonomy that can affect the effectiveness of online listening strategy instruction, integrative model on Japanese listening skills.    Keywords: Listening Strategy Instruction; Listening Skill; Vocabulary Knowledge; Japanese language

    Understanding Natural Approach for Teaching Productive Skills

    This study is appointed to report the English teacher\u27s understanding of teaching productive skills through Neuro-Linguistics Programming. Neuro-Linguistics Programming as one of the approach in teaching English as a foreign language, with focusing on the brain anatomy, and it can stimulate student\u27s creative thinking, language uses, and motivation. Productive skills are need to be fostered by the students in learning English as a foreign language, because writing, and speaking are the most essential language skills. This research is uses qualitative descriptive method, with triangulation model in doing validity and reliability data. There are some steps applied in this research; Planning, observation, interviews, giving questionnaire, and the last is data analysis. The researcher focuses on the English lecturers who have taught English more than 2 years as subjects of the research. 7 questions in close - ended answer (yes/no answer) are given and 5 questions in short answer interview are implemented to gain the data regarding to lecturer\u27s understanding in NLP concept for teaching productive skills. 23 English Lecturers both male and female are to be the subjects of the research. From the data analysis, the result shows that almost of English lecturers know the NLP approach in teaching language, and they always give brain storming as a part of NLP concepts

    Afirmasi Seni Teater di dalam Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi korelasi kuat atau benang merah atas kebutuhan instansi pemerintah dalam mencetuskan program penguatan pendidikan karakter pada satuan unit pendidikan dengan irisan nilai yang terdapat dalam praktik-praktik kesenian teater. Penguatan pendidikan karakter menjadi bagian dari sistem yang diturunkan dari pusat pada unit-unit pelaku pendidikan di lapangan. Hal itu perlu ditinjau dari beragam perspektif. Pada prinsipnya, dunia pendidikan akan selalu lekat atau beririsan dengan bidang yang lain serta dielaborasi oleh berbagai elemen. Penelitian ini meninjau implementasi kebijakan pendidikan karakter dari sudut pandang bidang seni, khususnya teater. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Sumber data merujuk pada wawancara tokoh dengan pendekatan naratif. Penelitian difokuskan pada pendidikan karakter yang disoroti oleh pelaku atau pegiat seni teater yang sekaligus pemangku kebijakan dalam bidang tersebut. Kesadaran dunia seni yang juga mampu merefleksikan penguatan pendidikan karakter dan menjadikannya dua hal yang saling beririsan atau cenderung dapat berada pada tujuan yang sama, menjadi barang baru untuk dikaji dan dipahami pada era saat ini yang mulai meninggalkan poin penting untuk membangun pribadi/karakter
