SM(2,4k) fermionic characters and restricted jagged partitions
A derivation of the basis of states for the superconformal minimal
models is presented. It relies on a general hypothesis concerning the role of
the null field of dimension . The basis is expressed solely in terms of
modes and it takes the form of simple exclusion conditions (being thus a
quasi-particle-type basis). Its elements are in correspondence with
-restricted jagged partitions. The generating functions of the latter
provide novel fermionic forms for the characters of the irreducible
representations in both Ramond and Neveu-Schwarz sectors.Comment: 12 page
Particles in RSOS paths
We introduce a new representation of the paths of the Forrester-Baxter RSOS
models which represents the states of the irreducible modules of the minimal
models M(p',p). This representation is obtained by transforming the RSOS paths,
for the cases p> 2p'-2, to new paths for which horizontal edges are allowed at
certain heights. These new paths are much simpler in that their weight is
nothing but the sum of the position of the peaks. This description paves the
way for the interpretation of the RSOS paths in terms of fermi-type charged
particles out of which the fermionic characters could be obtained
constructively. The derivation of the fermionic character for p'=2 and p=kp'+/-
1 is outlined. Finally, the particles of the RSOS paths are put in relation

Matteo Ricci (1552-1610) was an Italian Jesuit and one of the first Christian missionaries to China in the modern era. He was a genuine polymathâa translator, cartographer, mathematician, astronomer, and musician. Above all, Ricci was a missionary for the gospel. As we briefly examine his 1603 seminal work, The True Meaning of the Lord of Heaven, our hope is that we, as evangelical educators, will perceive some of the deeper principles necessary for our own missionary work among unreached people
New path description for the M(k+1,2k+3) models and the dual Z_k graded parafermions
We present a new path description for the states of the non-unitary
M(k+1,2k+3) models. This description differs from the one induced by the
Forrester-Baxter solution, in terms of configuration sums, of their
restricted-solid-on-solid model. The proposed path representation is actually
very similar to the one underlying the unitary minimal models M(k+1,k+2), with
an analogous Fermi-gas interpretation. This interpretation leads to fermionic
expressions for the finitized M(k+1,2k+3) characters, whose infinite-length
limit represent new fermionic characters for the irreducible modules. The
M(k+1,2k+3) models are also shown to be related to the Z_k graded parafermions

Health Care Professionalsâ Views on Using Remote Measurement Technology in Managing Central Nervous System Disorders: Qualitative Interview Study
Background: Remote measurement technologies (RMT) can be used to collect data on a variety of bio-behavioral variables, which may improve the care of patients with central nervous system disorders. Although various studies have explored their potential, prior work has highlighted a knowledge gap in health care professionalsâ (HCPs) perceptions of the value of RMT in clinical practice.Objective: This study aims to understand HCPsâ perspectives on using RMT in health care practice for the care of patients with depression, epilepsy, or multiple sclerosis (MS).Methods: Semistructured interviews were conducted with 26 multidisciplinary primary and secondary care HCPs who care for patients with epilepsy, depression, or MS. Interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using thematic analysis.Results: A total of 8 main themes emerged from the analysis: (1) potential clinical value of RMT data; (2) when to use RMT in care pathways; (3) roles of health care staff who may use RMT data; (4) presentation and accessibility of data; (5) obstacles to successful use of RMT; (6) limits to the role of RMT; (7) empowering patients; and (8) considerations around alert-based systems.Conclusions: RMT could add value to the system of care for patients with central nervous system disorders by providing clinicians with graphic summaries of data in the patient record. Barriers of both technical and human nature should be considered when using these technologies, as should the limits to the benefits they can offer

Older adultsâ perspectives on using digital technology to maintain good mental health: interactive group study
Background: A growing number of apps to support good mental health and wellbeing are available on digital platforms. However, very few studies have examined older adultsâ attitudes towards the use of these, despite increasing uptake of digital technologies by this demographic.
Objective: The present study sought to explore older adultsâ perspectives on technology to support good mental health.
Methods: Fifteen older adults (>50 years old), in two groups, participated in sessions to explore the use of digital technologies to support mental health. Interactive activities were designed to capture participantsâ immediate reactions to apps and websites designed to support mental health, and explore their experiences of using technology for these purposes in their own lives. Template analysis was used to analyse transcripts of the group discussions.
Results: Older adults were motivated to turn to technology to improve mood through mechanisms of distraction, normalisation and facilitated expression of mental states, while aiming to reduce burden on others. Perceived barriers to use included fear of consequences, and the impact of low mood on readiness to engage with technology, as well as a lack of prior knowledge applicable to digital technologies. Participants were aware of websites available to support mental health, but awareness alone did not motivate use.
Conclusions: Older adults are motivated to use digital technologies to improve their mental health, but barriers remain that developers need to address for this population to access them
