Beyond the code: understanding professional users' perspectives on AI implementation
Trabalho apresentado em 10th World Congress on Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems and Science, 19-21 de agosto 2024, Barcelona, EspanhaWhile Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to amplify economic productivity, and reduce expenses, it concurrently
triggers investigations into the socially acceptable boundaries of its implementation. This study aims to promote a deeper comprehension
of this issue by elucidating a better comprehension of actual AI usage for the professional proposes, the perceptions, the main risks, and
the expectations for future usage on the lens of the professional users. The research commences with a descriptive and literature-driven
exploration. Subsequently, it the foundational phase conducts an exploratory investigation via semi-structured interviews to managers
and analysts who utilizes AI for professional purposes. Differentiation in usage was observed based on each participant's specific needs,
ranging from text improvement to decision-making and programming. This study revealed patterns of usage, such as: perceptions,

A Anastomose do Empreendedorismo Austríaco com Agilidade Organizacional
This paper seeks to analyze the concepts of entrepreneurship at the Austrian School under the lens ofa contemporary management format called “agility.” The methodological procedure adopted was theoretical, with an exploratory and descriptive character using a bibliographic review of the leading Austrian authorsand a bibliometric survey of publications related to agility. From an analytical-interpretative reading, it did an associative analysis of Austrian entrepreneurship with agility. The research findings suggest that the Austrian authors at several points anticipated the ideas proposed by business agility, particularly concerning value creation, customer focus, and adaptation. A contemporary vision of project success criteria
Goal: The objective of this research is to provide researchers and project management professionals with a contemporary view of the measurement of project success.
Design/Methodology/Approach: After a dense literature review, a research-based study analyzes the project success criteria perspectives of 264 Brazilian project managers and provides a ranking of the most widely used measures in practice in Brazilian organizations.
Results: The study analyzes contemporary literature on project success criteria and discusses overlaps and trends. One of the important findings of this research is the identification of mismatches between academic perspectives and those of project managers in regard to project success as well as real success criteria used in organizations.
Limitations of the investigation: As the sample covered was comprised exclusively of Brazilian project managers, cross-cultural success criteria research is, therefore, encouraged.
Practical implications: The proposed performance criteria can be used in future research and for professional proposes in success criteria assessment.
Originality/Value: Given the diversity of success criteria measures, authors can have difficulty in finding the one that better fits their needs; alternatively, they can create their own scale. The reliability of several studies can be questioned due to their subjectivity and, in some cases, weakly defined measures. The present study can therefore provide project professionals with guidelines for success assessment that make measuring and comparing different projects possible
Estresse, Enfrentamento e Qualidade de Vida: Um Estudo Sobre Gerentes Brasileiros
This study analyzes the relationship between perceived stress at work, the coping strategy adopted, and the quality
of life of active managers in Brazilian organizations. Three instruments were applied together: Karasek's Job Stress
Scale, Latack's Coping with Job Stress and WHO'S WHOQOL-Bref to a sample of 1290 managers throughout
Brazil. An analysis of the correlation between the variables stress, quality of life and coping strategy was applied.
To further evaluate the relationship between the three dimensions of interest, linear and logistic regression models
were developed. The findings show that most managers find themselves under a high stress level, but share good
social support and have good perceptions about their quality of life. Most use control strategies to cope with stress.
Control strategies and symptom management significantly influence the perception of quality of life, whereas
avoidance strategies imply a decrease in this perception. Managers with jobs classified as high strain (Karasek &
Theorell, 1990) tend to have a poorer quality of life, even when moderated by social support
