Hukum adat memiliki peran penting dalam mengatur kehidupan masyarakat adat di Indonesia. Permasalahannya, bagaimana pembidangan hukum adat di Indonesia. Istilah "hukum adat" sendiri tidak dikenal di desa-desa, namun masyarakat adat umumnya menghormati adat istiadat dan adakalanya memberikan sanksi jika dilanggar. Hukum adat di Indonesia diakui sebagai hukum tidak tertulis dan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam kehidupan masyarakat adat, mencakup aturan yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sosial, adat istiadat, kepercayaan, dan tradisi mereka yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun,berakar pada budaya lokal, sejarah, dan nilai-nilai tradisional. Pembidangan hukum adat menunjukkan variasi yang berbeda, menurut Soepomo pembidangan hukum adat terbagi menjadi hukum keluarga, hukum perkawinan, dll. Unsur-unsur dasar hukum adat mencakup unsur idiil  dan unsur riil . Sistem hukum adat juga dapat dilihat melalui unsur kepercayaan, perasaan, tujuan, kaidah, kedudukan peranan dan pelaksanaan peranan, tingkatan atau jenjang, sanksi, kekuasaan, dan fasilitas. Dengan memahami pembidangan hukum adat dan unsur-unsur  dasarnya, dapat menambah pengetahuan.     Dynamic behaviour of long span cantilever steel-concrete composite floor

    Vibration and deflection are two main parameters that always govern the constructability of long span cantilever slab. This paper present the dynamic behavior of a 12.5m long span cantilever steel-concrete composite floor of an actual new proposed construction project. STAAD PRO software was used to analyze the structure subjected to both static and the dynamic loading. From the preliminary analysis using static loading, it was found that the original proposed structural configuration does not pass the deflection limit and is not constructable due to requirement for too big steel section not readily available in market. Consequently, modification to shorten the cantilever length to 6m is introduced and finally makes the structure possible to be build using a ready size of steel beams that are available in Malaysian market. In the detail dynamic analysis, excitation of dynamic loadings similar to human activity at a few random locations is applied to produced various mode shape. Results from the dynamic analysis gives acceleration on adjacent panels. The acceleration vs time graph is then used to calculate the critical natural frequency of the adjacent panels. This value of natural frequency then used to determine the range of recommended peak acceleration using the graph introduced by AISC Design Guide No. 11. It is found that the natural frequencies of the adjacent floor are in the range of 4 – 7 Hz, which is considered a low frequency floors. With the combination of low acceleration and low natural frequencies, it makes the modified floor which the new length is 6m still not comfortable to be used. Therefore, recommendation to thicken the concrete slab is proposed to increase the natural frequency of the floor, so that a comfortable construction is obtained

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan menulis karangan narasi. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah penerapan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Tidung II Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar? Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dalam hal meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Tidung II Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dengan tahapan kegiatan meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Tidung II Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 orang yang terdiri dari 20 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dengan analisis kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil analisis data setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas mengajar guru dan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan melihat pencapaian indikator-indikator yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan. Aktivitas mengajar guru dan siswa pada siklus I dikategorikan cukup dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan dikategorikan baik. Adapun keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa yang diberikan pada siklus I masih belum tuntas secara klasikal dan pada siklus II tuntas secara klasikal. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa terlihat pada meningkatnya nilai rata-rata kelas dari siklus I ke siklus II. Adapun ketuntasan secara klasikal telah mencapai indikator yang telah ditetapkan

    An Investigation Into the Food and Feeding Ecology of a Potential Aquaculture Candidate, Sarotherodon Galilaeus Multifasciatus in a Meteoritic Crater Lake in Ghana

    An investigation into the food and feeding ecology of the cichlid, Sarotherodon Galilaeus Multifasciatus in a tropical meteoritic lake in Ghana was undertaken. Stomachs of the fishes, at two length classes, representing adults and juveniles, were examined and the food items identified. The juveniles of Sarotherodon galilaeus multifasciatus feed mainly on insect and insect larvae and relatively small quantities of diatoms but avoiding macrophytes. A striking feature in the composition of juvenile diet was the considerable quantities of ingested sand, which constituted about 16% of stomach contents. Ingested sand may be helpful in maceration of food in the pyloric stomach. A sandy substratum may, therefore, appear ecologically important for juveniles of the species. Adult stomachs contained mainly phytoplankton, chironomid and insect larvae with no ingested sand. No significant differences were found in the stomach contents of the fishes for the dry and wet seasons due, partly, to the lack of any considerable seasonal differences in allochthonous inputs into the lake waters. The fishes exploit a wide range of food resources in the open, sub-littoral and littoral zones of the lake. Further studies to include growth and recruitment are recommended to enhance future production of the species under culture conditions

    Effects of dietary inclusions of oilseed meals on physical characteristics and feed intake of diets for the Nile Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus

    The present study investigated the effects of the inclusion of three oilseed by-products (soybean, copra and palm kernel meals) on some physical characteristics of pelletized feeds as well as on voluntary feed intake and faecal matter production by the Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus. The dietary inclusion of soybean meal resulted in a significantly higher feed bulk density relative to the fishmeal control diet. The inclusions of copra and palm kernel meals, however, resulted in lower feed bulk densities. Sinking rates, water stabilities and nutrient retention efficiencies of feed pellets were directly related to feed bulk densities. The soybean meal diet had the fastest sinking velocities, greatest water stability and highest nutrient retention rates. The dietary inclusion of soybean meal, however, significantly impaired feed intake compared to the other three diets. Mean daily feed intakes of the control, palm kernel meal and copra meal diets corresponded to 28.88, 27.01 and 28.31 g during the experimental period and varied significantly from the mean daily intake of the soybean meal diet which corresponded to 20.01 g. Faecal matter production (g dry mass kg−1 ingested feed) was significantly higher in the tilapia groups fed the copra and palm kernel meals. The results obtained from this study show that 30% inclusions of unrefined forms of copra and palm kernel meal in Nile tilapia diets is possible, without adversely affecting feed intake or pellet nutrient losses prior to ingestion

    Growth performance of the African catfish, Clarias gariepinus , fed varying inclusion levels of Leucaena leucocephala leaf meal

    The efficacy of treated Leucaena leucocephala leaf meal as an ingredient in diet of the African catfish, Clarias gariepinus , of mean weight 40.18\ub10.51g was evaluated over a 90-day growth period. Four experimental diets were formulated at 0% (control), 10%, 20% and 30% inclusion levels of treated Leucaena leaf meal. Leaves were treated by soaking in water for 3 days and sun-drying for another 3 days. A control diet of fish meal with fish meal serving as the only protein source was formulated. All diets were isonitrogenous (30% protein). The 90-day feeding experiment was conducted in concrete tanks, each treatment having three replicates. Fish fed 20% Leucaena leaf meal recorded the best growth performance in body weight gain and Specific Growth Rate (SGR), although the best Feed conversion Ration (FCR) was recorded for fish fed on the control diet of 0% Leucaena meal. There were no significant differences between fish fed the control diet and the other experimental (P>0.05). The study demonstrated that Leucaeana leucocephala leaf meal may be included in the diets of Clarias gariepinus at inclusion levels of up to 30% but it is efficacious and cost effective at 20% inclusion level. It is, therefore, recommended that Leucana leucocephala leaf meal be used to partially to replace the expensive and imported fish meal. @ JASE

    Effects of bamboo substrate and supplementary feed on growth and production of the African catfish, Clarias gariepinus

    The effects of bamboo poles as substrate for periphyton development on the growth and production of the African catfish, Clarias gariepinus , was evaluated over a period of 90 days. Three treatments, namely manure application as control (C), control and substrate installation (C + S) and, control and substrate with supplementary feeding (C + S + F) were randomly allotted to six earthen ponds each with an area of 100m2. Catfish fingerlings of mean weight 27.5g \ub1 1.25 were stocked at the rate of 80 fish per 100m2. Water temperature, pH, Total Alkalinity, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), ammonia and nitrites were monitored during the study. The results obtained after a 90- day culture period indicated no significant variations in water quality between treatments. Similarly, there were no significant difference in survival between the treatments which ranged from 81.3%, 96.8% and 86.3% for the C, C+S and C+S+F respectively. The mean gross fish yield (kg/100m2) varied from 16.0kg for C + S, 9.5kg for C + S + F and 6.0kg for C. the study indicated bamboo poles as substrate for periphyton was a superior alternative to improve catfish production under pond conditions
