    Psychometric evaluation of Persian version of Diabetes Acceptance Scale (DAS)

    Background: Acceptance of diabetes is a psychological adaptation to the potential limitations of the disease. Poor acceptance of diabetes impairs efective self-management of diabetes, leading to worsening metabolic control. This study aimed at determining the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Diabetes Acceptance Scale. Methods: This cross-sectional methodological study was performed on diabetic patients in Iran in 2021. The ques tionnaire consisted of two parts: demographic characteristics and Diabetes Acceptance Scale. The questionnaire was translated into Persian through the forward–backward translation method. The face validity and content validity were performed qualitatively and quantitatively. Exploratory (n=200) and confrmatory (n=200) factor analysis were performed to evaluate the validity of the structure. Internal consistency and temporal stability were estimated to determine reliability. Results: Exploratory factor analysis on the polychoric correlation matrix obtained three factors: Rational dealing, Resentment and Avoidance, which explained 68.8% of the total DAS variance. Confrmatory factor analysis showed that the 3-fractor model had a good ft to a second independent data set. Finally, Ordinal Cronbach’s alpha coefcient was 0.96, 0.94 and 0.93, respectively for the Rational dealing, Resentment, and Avoidance factor. Also, using intraclass correlation coefcient, the stability of the instrument was 0.97.     بررسی وضعیت فرسودگی شغلی در پرسنل اورژانس پیش بیمارستانی شاهرود؛ یک مطالعه مقطعی

    Introduction: Job burnout is a disorder due to long-term exposure of a person to work-related stress. The aim of this study was to investigate the burnout status of pre-hospital emergency staff in Shahroud city. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out on 100 pre-hospital emergency staff in Shahroud, Iran in 1397. The Maslach Burnout Questionnaire was used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation, and independent t-test, Chi-square and Fisher exact tests were used based on the type of variable. The significance level was considered as 0/05. Results: In this study, 100 cases (all were male) were included. The mean age was 30.75±5.55  years. The severity and frequency of emotional exhaustion were low in 95% of subjects. Depersonalization in frequency was high in 45% of the cases and was high in severity in 50% of the subjects. Personality satisfaction was moderate in frequency in 40% of the cases and was low in severity in 65 percent. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that pre-hospital emergency staff had mild degrees of severity and frequency of emotional exhaustion and moderate degrees of severity and frequency of personal adequacy and sever feeling of personality deprivation.مقدمه: فرسودگی شغلی، نوعی اختلال به دلیل مواجهه طولانی مدت شخص در معرض فشار روانی در رابطه با کار می باشد. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی وضعیت فرسودگی شغلی در کارکنان اورژانس پیش بیمارستانی شهر شاهرود انجام شد. روش کار: مطالعه حاضر بصورت مقطعی در 100 نفر از کارکنان اورژانس پیش بیمارستانی شهر شاهرود در سال 1397 صورت گرفت. ابزار مورد استفاده در این مطالعه پرسشنامه فرسودگی شغلی ماسلاچ بود. برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها از آمار توصیفی میانگین، انحراف معیار، نیز آزمون آماری تی مستقل، مجذور کای و آزمون دقیق فیشر برحسب نوع متغیر استفاده شد. سطح معناداری در این مطالعه 05/0 در نظر گرفته شد یافته ها: تمامی افراد مورد بررسی مرد بودند. میانگین سنی افراد 55/5 ± 75/30 سال بود. شدت و دفعات خستگی هیجانی در 95 درصد افراد کم بود. مسخ شخصیت در 45 درصد دفعات متوسط و شدت آن در 50 درصد افراد زیاد بود. احساس کفایت شخصیت در 40 درصد از نظر دفعات متوسط و از نظر شد ت در 65 درصد افراد کم بود. نتیجه گیری: نتایج بررسی نشان داد کارکنان اورژانس پیش بیمارستانی درجات کمی از شدت و دفعات خستگی هیجانی و درجات متوسط از شدت و دفعات کفایت شخصی و به مقدار زیادی احساس مسخ شخصیت را دارا می باشند
