In order to determine and treatment of the dermatophytosis , that infections in cattle, skin scraping samples were collected from thirty cattle which showed clinical  signs of skin diseases from some farms in different areas in Diyala  governorate. The isolation results in cattle samples showed that (90%) were positive for fungal isolation. The main fungal species that isolated included Trichophyton verrucosum. Three different concentration of Calvatia craniformis mushroom ointment are prepared to obtain (0.25%,0.50% and 1%) of the mushroom ointment respectively and then applied topically to lesion  once daily.Sixty infected cattles in different age and sex were involved in our study  and divided into two  groups ; the first is treatment group and, the second is the control group. The treatment group includes thirty patients  were treated by one of the three concentrations ( Ten patients 0.25% , Ten patients 0.50%, Ten patients 1% concentrations). The control group included thirty patients was treated by 1% sulpher ointment . The 1% mushroom ointment significantly reduce  clearance time  (P<0.05) in comparison with the control group , while other concentration produce non significant changes in clearance time , therefore this substance in all preparations is effective in the treatment of ringworm  . Keywords: ringworm, dermatophytosis, Calvatia craniformi

Deepfake tweets classification using stacked Bi-LSTM and words embedding

The spread of altered media in the form of fake videos, audios, and images, has been largely increased over the past few years. Advanced digital manipulation tools and techniques make it easier to generate fake content and post it on social media. In addition, tweets with deep fake content make their way to social platforms. The polarity of such tweets is significant to determine the sentiment of people about deep fakes. This paper presents a deep learning model to predict the polarity of deep fake tweets. For this purpose, a stacked bi-directional long short-term memory (SBi-LSTM) network is proposed to classify the sentiment of deep fake tweets. Several well-known machine learning classifiers are investigated as well such as support vector machine, logistic regression, Gaussian Naive Bayes, extra tree classifier, and AdaBoost classifier. These classifiers are utilized with term frequency-inverse document frequency and a bag of words feature extraction approaches. Besides, the performance of deep learning models is analyzed including long short-term memory network, gated recurrent unit, bi-direction LSTM, and convolutional neural network+LSTM. Experimental results indicate that the proposed SBi-LSTM outperforms both machine and deep learning models and achieves an accuracy of 0.92

Value of dobutamine stress tissue Doppler in evaluation of LV functional improvement after elective PCI

Aim: To clarify the value of dobutamine stress tissue Doppler in the evaluation of LV functional improvement after elective PCI.Methods: The study included 60 patients with hibernating viable myocardium proved by DSE referred for an evaluation of myocardial viability prior to revascularization. Hemodynamic and echocardiographic variables (LVEF, WMSI and TDI Sm) were assessed at rest and during stress. 1 month after PCI follow up echocardiography and TDI were done. Patients were divided into 2 groups: (Group I): 18 patients (30%) with no global functional recovery and (Group II): 42 patients (70%) with global functional recovery. Results: SBP, DPB, HR, EF, WMSI and (Sm) increased significantly at stress P = 0.001. After 1 month patients were divided into 2 groups according to functional recovery. There were no statistically  significant differences between two groups neither as regards age, sex, risk factors (P >0.05) nor as  regards SBP, DBP, HR, rate/pressure product, EF and WMSI during stress but Sm increased during stress and after1 month follow up in Group II (P = 0.001). Univariate regression showed that (Sm) is the only predictor for global functional recovery. ROC curve statistical analysis shows that (Sm) is more sensitive and accurate than (WMSI) in the detection of viable myocardium which predicts improvement after revascularization (sensitivity 100%, 50% and accuracy 93.3%, 83.3% respectively). Conclusion: Stress TDI provides a feasible and quantitative technique that improves reproducibility of DSE. Sm during stress showed better accuracy than WMSI for the prediction of functional recovery following revascularization and was simple, sensitive and accurate for the detection of subtle myocardial systolic velocity changes

    Leishmaniasis

Leishmaniasis is a vector-borne tropical/subtropical disease caused by an intracellular parasite transmitted to humans by sand fly bite. It is endemic in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the Mediterranean region. Worldwide reports include 1.5–2 million new cases each year, more than 300 million at risk of acquiring the disease, and 70,000 deaths per year. Clinical features depend on the Leishmania species and immune response of the host, varying from localized cutaneous disease to visceral form with potentially fatal outcome; however, the common presentation is either cutaneous, mucocutaneous, or visceral leishmaniasis. Many therapeutic agents are being used in Leishmania treatment, but the only effective treatment is achieved with current pentavalent antimonials. WHO considers Leishmaniasis as one of the “Neglected Tropical Diseases” that continues to be prevalent despite international, national, and local efforts towards its control and elimination over the last decade. This chapter reviews the global perspective of Leishmaniasis with increasing recognition of emerging “Atypical forms” and new surge of disease across the world mainly due to increasing conflicts in endemic areas leading to forced migration among other causes. All these challenges related to environment, disease, and vector pose major implications on WHO’s leishmaniasis control and elimination plan
